Final Fantasy IX

Gameplay

This section is devoted to giving a few tips on how to make it through the game. These are more common sense tips than anything else but they do work.

- Fight whenever you can. You'll power up much faster, aquire more money, and be overall more experienced then if you wait until later on in the game.

- Look everywhere. Though Final Fantasy IX makes it easier with the exclaimation point over your head when you find something, you should always look around. There are still items that aren't very easy to find, so look hard.

- Buy healing items where ever you go. Always keep a good stock on status healing items because, as the game progresses, the enemies get worse. Also, have a constant supply gives you one less thing to think about when you're trying to save the world.

- Try not to overdo yourself. If your at level 20 going against a Grand Dragon, you're done for, especially if you haven't saved. Learn what enemies are in the area, try and powerup, and develop a strategy. This not only improves you chances for survival but it also powers you up and teaches you how to deal with harder bosses.

- Experience as many sidequests as you can. Just zipping throught the game may be nice for some people but if you want the whole experience, go the extra mile and try the chocobo sidequest or become a card master. It is to your benefit also because some of the best itmes in the game can only be found in the subquests.

- Just have fun with it. Enjoy the game and never give up. If you have a problem or want to know how to progress further in the game, just ask us and we will make sure you get on your way.
