Final Fantasy V has a host of interesting playable characters, each with their own distinctive personality. Here's are brief round-up of each of them throughout the game:

Age Class Weapon Sex 20 Traveller N/A Male Butz is the "main" character of the game.You start of with Butz,but you meet Lenna and Galuf very soon into the game.Butz is a young adventure hunter who has no reason to be on the quest for the Crystals other than for the adventure for it.

Age Class Weapon Sex 18 Princess N/A Female Lenna, who you see in the opening of the game,she is a princess and is looking for her dad,who left because he felt the wind was not right.Lenna meets Butz and Gulaf at the Beginning of the game.Butz and Gulaf help her look for her father.

Age Class Weapon Sex 60 Warrior N/A Male Galuf is a strange character who does not remember who he is,but wants to help Lenna on her Quest to save the Crystals.Also,Galuf doesn't remember anything as to who he is or anything else.

Age Class Weapon Sex 20 Pirate N/A Female Faris is the leader of the pirates and is pretending to be a man.The reason she pretends she's a man at first is because she thinks that people won't take her seriously if they thought the leader of the pirates was a woman.
