Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy XIII is the first installment in the best-selling series of role-playing games from Square Enix to appear on the PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360. Final Fantasy XIII appears to go back to the basics that have made the series so popular, but of course with the full-capabilities of the Sony Playstation 3 and now the Xbox 360. Notably, the game is the first in the series that will have a simultaenous release on another console (XBOX 360) however it has been announced that this will only occur in North America and Europe and Japanese markets will not recieve an XBOX 360 version.
Motomu Toriyama, who directed Final Fantasy X-2, will serve as main director for the game. The storyline, according to Square Enix President Yoichi Wada, will focus on "those who resist the world." The intentions for the feel of Final Fantasy XIII were defined through the phrase "Fabulla Nova Crystalis," and Square Enix appears to have plans for the game in the same vein as the Final Fantasy VII compilation.
