Final Fantasy X

Overdrives

Overdrives are special abilities unique to each character. These are typically extra powerful attacks, sometimes with special effects, but can also be powerful healing, protective or enhancing powers. A character can use one of its Overdrives when its Overdrive Gauge reaches max. When the Gauge charges depends on what mode a character is set to. See below.

Tidus - Swordplay.
There's a cursor that moves to the left and right. If you have a good timing and press the action button when the cursor is at the center, you will inflict more damage.

Yuna - Monster Summon
Yuna summons an aeon with their overdrive gauge at MAX

Wakka - Slots
Involves spinning a series of reels and trying to match up the symbols. He starts with the Element Reels; the other three must be won in Blitzball tournaments. (Element Reels, Attack Reels, Status Reels, Aurochs Reels).

Kimari - Ronso Rage
You can acquire enemy skills with the Lancet ability and later use them against your enemies through the use of this Overdrive.

Lulu - Fury
When performing this Overdrive, you pick a Black Magic spell Lulu has learned. Then you rotate the right analog stick during a certain amount of time. Depending on how many times the stick is rotated, Lulu casts that spell at reduced power a number of times. This ignores whether Lulu is Silenced or not, as well as goes right through Shell and Reflect. If used when there are multiple enemies present, each spell will randomly target an enemy.

Auron- Bushido Blade
You acquire Auron's Overdrives by finding spheres recorded by Jecht, himself and Braska during their previous travels. Upon finding enough of them, he learns a new Overdrive.

Rikku - Mix
Can mix almost any two items in your regular inventory (excluding Key Items, weapons, and armor) to create new ones during battle that inflicts status effects, etc on your enemies.
