Characters

Final Fantasy X has a host of interesting playable characters, each with their own distinctive personality. Here's are brief round-up of each of them throughout the game: More information about the characters can be found everywhere in the FF10 section.

Tidus

Tidus is a cheerful, rising blitzball star playing for the Zanarkand Abes. He has long hated his father, who was a renowned player himself before his untimely death. Tidus's quick moves allow him to attack even the swiftest foes with ease.

Overdrive: Swordplay - Spiral Cut (default), Slice and Dice (10 overdrives needed), Energy Rain (30 overdrives needed), Blitz Ace (80 overdrives needed) Age: 17 Place of Origin: Zanarkand Weapon of Choice: Sword Voices: Seiichi Morita (JAP), James Arnold Taylor (English)

Yuna

Daughter of High Summoner Braska. Honest and determined, Yuna embarks on a pilgrimage to obtain the Final Aeon and defeat Sin. Yuna is learning the mystical art of summoning aeons-powerful spirits of yore-while getting closer and closer to Tidus.

Overdrive: Grand Summon - allows yuna to summon the aeon of your choice with a full Overdrive gauge. The aeon can perform its Overdrive attack, after which its gauge will return to the state it was in before you summoned it. Wakka

Coach and captain of the local blitzball team, the Besaid Aurochs. Wakka plans to retire from the sport after this year's tournament, so that he can devote himself fully to serving as Yuna's guardian. His deadly blitzball is especially useful for knocking down aerial enemies.

Overdrive: Slots - involves spinning a series of reels and trying to match up the symbols. He starts with the Element Reels; the other three must be won in Blitzball tournaments. Lulu

One of Yuna's guardians. She and Wakka think of Yuna as a younger sister. Lulu's stoic and self-possesed nature makes her seem insensitive at times. She specializes in the art of black magic, using various dolls to help cast powerful spells.

Overdrive: Fury - allows Lulu to cast spells multiple times without using MP. This functions even if she is Silenced and will ignore an enemy's Shell or Reflect. It chooses random targets. Kimahri Ronso

A powerful warrior of the Ronso tribe. Kimahri has watched over Yuna from her youngest days. He speaks little, but is deeply devoted to Yuna and serves her loyally as a guardian. Kimahri can learn enemy skills with his Lancet ability.

Overdrive: Ronso Rage - Kimahri uses his Lancet ability to learn monsters' attacks. He starts with Jump, but all the other abilities must be learned from monsters. When he learns a new Ronso Rage, his Overdrive Gauge automatically fills to full. Age: 32 Place of Origin: Mt. Auron

The legendary guardian who, together with High Summoner Braska, defeated Sin ten years ago. A man of few words, he guides Yuna and Tidus on their mission to vanquish Sin once more. He swings his gigantic sword with such power that even the toughest fiends are cut asunder.

Overdrive: Bushido Blade - each overdrive requires that you input a series of button presses in a specific order. Auron learns new Overdrives by finding the Jecht Spheres scattered throughout Spira. Rikku

A young Al Behd girl. Her personality is upbeat and positive, and she is not afraid to speak her mind. She works hard to restore her outcast people to their former glory. Rikku handles mechanical enemies with ease, and can steal items from enemies,too.

Overdrive: Mix - can mix almost any two items in your regular inventory (excluding Key Items, weapons, and armor) to create new ones during battle that inflicts status effects, etc on your enemies.
