I was going to expand the environments for you, but I've decided to leave that in your hands. Pay attention to what's already listed in the Environment thread, and build upon it from there. I look forward to this season's tournament.



Remember, your characters have been teleported to this location via the powers of the gods/aliens (call them anything but judges). Because this is the first round, long introductory posts explaining your characters' journey prior to abduction are acceptable. In future rounds, try to keep them shorter.

[Mistress Victoria]

A silhouette of a fighter ran up the side of an apartment complex in a blur to the untrained eye. His opponent dashed up along side of him on the opposite side of the alley way. They leapt toward one another coincidentally and were about to land a vital kick. Though suddenly one of the silhouettes vanished into thin air and the one that was left behind was revealed to have a shocked face as they slammed into the brick of the building, slowly slipping downward to the concrete below.

Suddenly a ruckus started among the crowd. Various people chattered amongst each other with worry and confusion.

“Where’d he go? Where’d Kana disappear to? How’d he vanish like that?!”

Just then the crowd was silenced as a silent person in the crowd spoke up loudly, out of the blue.

“Do not worry everyone! He will be just fine. Kana just went to fight elsewhere. As around this time, it is happening once again…” the man trailed off.

“What are you talking about Kage-san? What’s going on around here?!” Kana’s opponent said.

“I know this because I was a participant in last year’s game. The Tournament of Ah-.”

Just then, Kage popped out of existence, leaving the crowd with massive questions on their minds. Without Kana knowing, Kage had been watching all of Kana’s street fight competitions, and even he participated in a few of them. In the underground, the two of them were two of the top ten strongest fighters. Kage reigned supreme in the number two slot, and Kana was right behind him in the number five slot.

In what looked like a dark, lonely atmosphere, the two fighters popped into existence, however since Kana was taken in mid combat, his kick landed on Kage, who had his guard down. Kage was sent back a good five yards. Kana stood back up from attacking and realized where he was standing.

“Where the hell am I?” he thought aloud, though he jumped back after seeing a pile of rubble move. His body poofed into chibi form.

“What was that just now?” he said as his body shivered. A silhouette of a tall man faded and revealed the identity of the noise maker. He walked slowly toward Kana, with red beady eyes glowing.

“This doesn’t look good…” Kana thought to himself. The blood lust was at an all time high, nothing like he’s ever sensed before. He gulped.

A chibi Kage whacked Kana upside the head with the sheath of his sword.

“Look where you’re going next time, moron!”
“I should say the same to you; you let your guard down, old man!”

The two fighters glared at each other, sparks initiating between their eyes. Just then, the room tilted slightly that brought them back to reality.

“Where the heck are we, sensei?”

Kage just sat down and took a sip from his flask of sake. “We’re in the Tournament of Arms, Kana. A supreme race of beings teleported us here for their yearly tournament.”

“So does that mean we have to face each other?” Kana wiped the sweat from his brow.

“I’m not quite sure, let’s sit and wait to see if anyone else arrives for now.”

“And if they don’t?”

“Then we’ll have to duke it out, like good old times.”

“How fun.”

A slight shake and jolt of pressure shifted throughout the ship. Something must have exploded nearby.

“…Shit. We’re in worse shape than I thought. It seems this battle ground isn’t stable. So it seems bloodlust isn’t the only enemy this time around. If we don’t finish this fight soon, we’ll kick the bucket right here in this spaceship.”

“The day just gets weirder and weirder…” Kana sighed.

As Kana finished his frustrated sigh, two beings just popped into the room. It looked like a two on two was about to begin. Luckily this room of the ship was to their advantage. Lots of rubble and boxes for obstacles and the surfaces had a lot of dust layers. Perhaps the dust could be used for confusion purposes.

Shame Slim went MIA a while back. I was really looking forward to his participation. He really seemed stoked about the tournament back when we were putting it all together, too. I guess life just got in the way. Eh, it happens sometimes.
