Spring 2005 TOA Round 3 (finals) - Malevolence v. vertamitlu

Okay, by now, you should know the drill.

Same setting as the previous two rounds, of course. For storyline purposes, ten days have passed since the semifinal fights, so the characters should have had a good chance to become well rested. I know Lucifina needs it after having an icicle lodged in her ribcage.

If you don't mind, I'd like to go ahead and choose the time of day and weather for this one though. And if you do mind, well, too bad.


I'll let the first poster pick out the specifics, but here's what I'm looking for in this round.

• Starts late afternoon, between 6-7pm, as the sun starts to set
• Light gray clouds with light, but steady showers
• Darker thunderstorm clouds rolling in quickly from the southwest
• Most of the spectators have umbrellas, but not all (specifically, Vincent does not)

As far as the weather is concerned, this thread will be a little different. There will be a bit more judge interaction this time; all narrative, so there won't be any disruptions to the fight itself.

For instance, whenever Psiko or myself decides that it's time for the lightning to strike a tree near the field, we'll do so. Maybe it'll split the tree in half, or maybe it'll start a whole fire. It's your job, as the writers, to react to your environment as well as each other. It's an interesting twist that should keep things fresh, hmm? Don't worry, we won't spend all of our time posting, but if the two of you can make this an active fight, expect an unexpected narrative every four or five posts.


Due to the downtime earlier, you'll have a little extra time for this round as well. Instead of ending on 31 May, you now have until 13 June 2005 to beat the hell out of each other.

With the second rush of downtime, and the fact that last week was finals week for most people, I'm putting another extension on it. Also, I'll be without internet access while I'm on a train halfway across the country, so I'm just gonna go ahead and extend through that. Enjoy the extra time, and let's get this thing underway.

Time's a'wastin'. It's been two weeks, and no post yet. You guys are gonna force me to push this to the end of June, aren't you? Sheesh, what the fuck has the both of you tied up?! If either one of you sends me a PM explaining why you've been MIA and why you may continue to be MIA, I'll go ahead and extend it to 30 June. Otherwise, this thing's getting shut off on the thirteenth whether we have a winner or not.

Well, there's my answer. Full-time college (exams must have just passed recently, I'd assume) plus full-time work = little time for creativity. That's fine by me. I expected as much, considering May is always a busy month for anyone in school.

It's official, the tournament will close on 30 June 2005, period. No more extensions.

(((OOC: I will give a description of Vincent's house in this post. Loco gave me what little information he could muster about it, so hopefully I'm not too far off.)))

In in a field on the outskirts of town, there was a large, one story house. It was a Spanish style Villa with a cream colored plaster wall and reddish-orange rounded shingles. It had a garden in the middle with a marble water fountain molded in the image of a lion/eagle hybrid, probably a griffin, the water ejecting from it's beak. The garden had several varieties of flower and the greenest of grass. It was almost like a rainbow with its sheer, bright elegance.

A women was meditating atop the roof over looking the garden. Why she was located at Vincent's house is anyone's guess. It was currently 84-degrees Fahrenheit with high humidity, thus it was quite warm... Especially in the female's case!

She had straight, silverish blond hair that extended an inch or two below her shoulder, a glossy tan complexion, hour glass figure, around a C-cup chest, slender neck, and long, athletic legs. It seemed she was chiseled from stone! Because it was most warm today, her attire, which matched the color of her ice blue eyes, included a stringed bikini top and silk miniskirt. It didn't even cover her entire rear end or pelvic region, so it was easy to see her ice blue thong. And because it was most warm, sweat was dripping down her face, to her neck, to her cleavage, to her flat abs, to her luscious legs.

Her eyes closed deep in thought as she tried to reach a level of focus, but she was unable to achieve such. Lucifina was once again reminiscing about that day...

Flashback: Almost four years ago...

A tubby, middle aged man was sliced in half at the waist by a Japanese style Wakizashi lit up by an with an eerie sky blue energy field radiating from it. His blood and entrails were leaking from his torso which fell to the dusty, wooden floor. The impact left a generous puddle of his innards.

Lucfina stood not far from the corpse, bathed in the gore. The young woman examined her bloody blade with some sort of lust in her eyes. “My daughter, it's time for a bath.” The blond licked the crimson liquid of her blade, moaning as she savored the salty taste. ' Nourish me, my child! '

End Flashback.

Her eyes shot open before she looked down to her lap to see her child. The custom Wakizashi used to end the Russian God Father's life. “Nisa, I shall use you on this day to establish my legacy as the greatest warrior this pitiful mud ball has ever seen.” She planted a soft kiss on the steel blade before placing it back in a black, iron sheath.

Without further ado she jumped off the roof and landed gracefully on her bare feet. Thunder began cracking in the distance, rain clouds closing in. ' Such glorious weather, perfect for tormenting someone. I just hope my opponent is a no good male... ' she thought as she stepped closer to the arena.

Anyway, maybe the end-of-summer will be better, with its altered format. I'll set stuff up for that one when I get back from California, and we'll see if it ends up being any different.

Trev, congratulations on a win that you definitely earned from the last round. It's just a shame you couldn't earn it in this one as well. In any case, that's that.
