I just tried to read your post out loud and just hope you really don`t talk like that.

I`ve seen a billion horror movies and I wonder.....Why did I just get scared.
An actress is about to get her head poked by an actor in a costum who doesn`t really cut of her head, but special FX do that.

Well I never really seen the old movies, I thought the new one was pretty freaky. It doesn't have to be real, it doesn't have to be poignant and shit, it's fake anyways. Everyone overexaggerates everything anywayz, so who cares. I like it because I like horror movies and sometimes gore movies like Friday the 13th and shiz.

I'll go watch the new one or rent it when it comes out, just to see some suspenseful moments, hot asses on chicks, and some people get killed. Good enough for me.

Well, yes and no. While it doesn't have to be realistic, making it believable makes it scarier. That's why The Exorcist was one of the greatest horror movies of all time, because it was based on a true story, and people knew things like that actually happened. Friday the 13th, I don't think I've seen any of (those are with Jason, right?). Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street, however, though obviously completely fictional, were still good horror movies because they were ... I wouldn't say realistic or believable, but because they could affect anybody. The victims weren't a bunch of teenagers out in the middle of nowhere, they were normal people in the comfort of their own home or neighborhood, or even dreams. If you live in a suburban neighborhood, a psychotic killer (or family of them) out in the boonies doesn't affect you much -- not nearly as much as a psychotic killer in a suburban neighborhood does. A guy with an axe in the middle of a field at night might be scary, but a guy in a bedroom doorway is much moreso, because people will go back and remember it everytime they look through their bedroom doorway at night and see a shadow on the wall.

But yes, no matter how good or bad the plot of a horror movie (or any movie, really) is, they can always count on some gore to spice it up, or some good ol' fashioned T & A.

What's funny is according to the web site: http://www.texaschainsawmassacre.net/FAQ.htm

The family house was moved and is now a restaraunt for the Antlers Inn @ http://www.theantlers.com/

If this information holds any truth, it would sure seem odd sitting down for a good ole' fashioned meal where a cannibal/murderer use to slay his victims. Ick.

...and without starting another post, about The Exorcist, I really enjoyed the films... well the first one, and then "The Beginning" i never watched the sequels to the original because I figured they were just spinoffs to try to earn some money. I did however hear the actual events happened to a Boy and not a girl? Nonetheless, I wish there were some place to learn more about what really happened.

I've actually been to his hometown in Wisconsin. I could go on about how weird it was (because it was just plain weird the way the townspeople acted), but I'll save it. His house isn't even standing anymore. All traces of it are gone. He used to have a headstone where he was buried, but they moved his body and his headstone was stolen, piece by piece.

Nobody even knows where he is buried and only people who have actually seen his house standing know where it was. Oh, the hardware store where he captured that woman is still standing and now it is a "True Value" store. Pretty weird, eh?

All in all, the booze is pretty cheap in Plainfield. That's about it.

Oh, and as for another TCM movie...they should stop. In my opinion, the only TCM films were the first one and the remake. Chop Top was about the only decent thing about the other films.
