National Lampoons Vacation Poll

Hello everybody, I'm bored once again so I decided to make another poll. Are there any fans of the National Lampoons Vacation movies? I know I am so here is poll asking you which is your fav.

It all started off with National Lampoons Vacation in 1983 where the Griswold's decide to take a trip to Walley World theme park but end up in a lot of catastrophe along the way. As you may remember, the Aunt passed away in the car, Clark forgot to unchain the dog from the back of the car when he drove off. Oh and Clark ended up driving off a cliff and had to pay all of his money to some crook mechanics and ends up having a very crappy car to drive around. They end up getting to Walley World but what happens? IT'S CLOSED! So Clark ends up putting a gun to a security guard and they end up getting in and ride some of the groovy rides. The police catch them but they end up free without charges of course.

In 1985, the Griswold's win a game show and win a trip around Europe. It's disaster after disaster! Clark ends up driving on the wrong side of the road in England and crashes into a couple of cars...then hits a man on his bicycle. The kids whinge and complain about going in the first place. They stay in horrible hotels and lose their credit cards and money. Clark get's beaten up by some German dancers but it doesn't end there! Ellen gets kidnapped by some thief but they end up returning back to America safe and sound.

In 1989, the Griswold's decide to play it safe and stay home for Christmas. They get their own Christmas tree which ends up being too big for the house, Clark decides to put lights up on the house but it takes him a while to get them to work...he falls off the roof while trying to work it out. Cousin Eddie decides to stay for Christmas with his children and his dog named 'Snot'. Their Christmas turns into a disaster quick because the parents want to stay as well. The cat from Aunt Bethany gets electrocuted while playing with the lights on the Christmas tree, the tree then gets burnt to a crisp by Uncle Lewis, the dog trashes the house and everything just turns out wrong. Oh and Clark has a nice little rant about his boss who gives him a lousy Christmas bonus. Don't worry folks...cousin Eddie rescues the day! It all turns out well in the end for them.

In 1997 the Griswold's returned once more and decide to take a trip to Las Vegas, what's in Vegas that everybody loves? CASINO'S! Clark ends up losing all the money by gambling it all. Ellen has a slight obsession with Wayne Newton. Eddie owns some land north of Vegas and lends a helping hand to Clark by giving him some money. Rusty gets into Casino's by using a fake ID, Audrey and cousin Vickie do some 'dancing' in some clubs. They get home after a man passes away at a bingo game, he has the winning ticket. Clark takes it because the man told him to before he dies.

Now, it's up to you guys once more. Which one of these films was your favourite? Was it the original? Was it European Vacation? Christmas Vacation? Or was it Vegas Vacation?

For me, you can't beat Christmas Vacation. It is the greatest Christmas movie in my opinion. It is hilarious and the characters are all unique (especially Eddie). Christmas Vacation doesn't lack in humour, the jokes are all very funny. Eddie is the funniest character! He tends to be pretty random about the things he says. Clark seems to have a tough time with all the relatives and it's just so funny to watch.

My favorite would have to be Christmas Vacation. It's a family tradition to watch it every Christmas Eve, though we didn't do it this year. but still I think without a doubt that's the best one. All the scenes with Eddie and Clark together are genius. I still think the squirel is one of the best parts, not to mention Clarks nutties at the end. For me it's no contest, but the others are good.

Christmas Vacation by far is my favourite. It was the first of the series I ever saw. I used to have Clark's rant from when he got his "bonus" memorized.

I love ALL National Lampoon movies...

Chrismas Vacation is funny because it reminds me of my own family. Every Christmas, relatives come in, and there is always some tention. The women get stressed and drink, and the men watch football and drink. Whats even better, is that we have asshole neighboors just like the Griswold's. OH, and I have fallen off the roof before while hanging Christmas lights. Our roof is a 10/12 though, much steeper than Clark's....o_0

I love the wally world one. It was the first one I ever saw and to me the funiest

My favorite is Christmas Vacation b/c it's truly a classic among holiday films such as "It's A Wonderful Life" and "A Christmas Story".

Christmas Vacation by far -- I loved it, and thought it was by far the funniest, although Vegas Vacation was close behind. Plus it deserves it's ranking cause it's basically a popular movie that comes on during Christmas time, which any movie that guarantee's to come on during the holiday season usually has a popular vote

But it's funny cause people can relate to it, sometimes more, sometimes less, but everyone can!

I absolutely love all of the National Lampoon's Vacation movies. My favorite is the Vegas Vacation. I guess with me being quite the gambler, I would like this movie. My second favorite is the one where they take a trip to California to go to Wally World only to find out it's closed for renovations. My third favorite is the European Vacation. I liked the Christmas one but not as much as the other three.

I LOVE Christmas vacation and I`ve shown it to everybody I known through the years so I`ve watched it for a million times and I never get bored with the movie nice to know I`m not the only one (lol)
