Star Trek: USS Saratoga OOC

All righty...

Thanks to advice (sort of) from Andromeda, I have revised my Star Trek RP idea. My new idea has nothing to do with my former idea; Star Trek: The New Enterprise. My new idea has to do with the U.S.S. Saratoga. Some of you "Trekkies" may know that the Saratoga was one of the starships that participated in the Battle of Wolf 359, aka, the major Borg battle in the TNG episode, The Best of Both Worlds. Also, for you DS9 fans, the Saratoga was Ben Sisko's former ship, Sisko was 1st Officer. I have decided to take this "doomed" ship, and make an RP about it, dealing with its "non-canonical" missions and expeditions. This means, that if there are any...inconsistencies with this RP and the TV series, pay it no mind...unless it is a huge difference...okay?

Oh...and I won't break the Warp threshold this time, okay? Heh...

Well, let me begin...

The RP takes place in the year 2364, around StarDate 42000.0...that would be Season 2 of TNG, for all you "Trekkies". The U.S.S. Saratoga has been in commission for a few years now. However, the Saratoga's former captain had just died during an incident at the "Neutral Zone". The Saratoga is currently docked at Starbase Deep Space 5, located near Ivor Prime, where it has just received a new Captain and First Officer...Captain Gregory Renvar of the U.S.S. Liberator and Commander Benjamin Sisko, new to StarFleet. With the new Captain and Commander, the ship prepares to head off towards its next destination, the newly constructed Starbase, Starbase Red V, located near the human colony, Turkana IV. The base is still many lightyears away, and it will take several days to reach the base. The Saratoga's primary function is exploration, but it is to help any Federation vessels or bases, if needed. Now, Red V needs help. The people of Turkana, who have been at war for many years, are opposed to the new base. Information has been leaked to the Federation about the plans to sabotage the base. This situation must be dealt with, before harm can happen to the new starbase.

There ya go! That is the basic...uh...plot...of the RP...I guess...If there were any problems with the plot...MAJOR problems, then please inform me...thanks!

Plus...for rank...I will NOT play as the Captain...the Captain will be...sort of an NPC. I will use him to give orders and such, but he will NOT be my primary character. I will still support a BIO. If you ever want to use him to interact with your character, please do so, but don't overstep your boundaries.

NOTE: Promotions will be decided by me. For example, if you wish to play as a lowly engineer, and I find your RPing skills good, I may promote you to...Chief Engineer, if circumstances allow.

NOTE #2: Please do not ask to be Chief Tactical Officer...'kay?
