FFVIII: Voyages of the Ragnarok
All righty...
The idea for FFVIII: VotR has been floating around in my head for awhile, so I guess I'll finally put it out there. It takes place twenty years before the original FFVIII, when the Ragnarok was still in use. As all of you FFVIII players know, the Ragnarok is technically a spaceship that was found, abandoned in space. Estharian Air Control says that the Ragnarok has been lost in space for twenty years. This story is about the voyages of the spaceship, when it was still operational. The Ragnarok travels through space, visiting other planets and so on. It is like the Final Fantasy version of Star Trek. The story before the story. See the never-before seen world outside the world, eh? Visit the Moon to investigate the Lunar Cry, travel to the Space Station outside the main planet's orbit, fend off Propagators. Interesting, no? Job: CAPTAIN OF RAGNAROK Rank: CAPTAIN BIO: Born in Deling City, Victoria was raised by a military general, General Leon Renvar, one of the veterans of the infamous Lion War. Victoria's mother was one of the General's maids in his large mansion in Deling City. Victoria never knew her mother, as she was fired after Victoria was born (General Leon was married, but he had an affair with the maid, which gave him a child. The General's wife left him and he fired the maid out of frustration). General Leon raised Victoria himself. Victoria lived a "military-style" life. Victoria was an excellent athelete (an excellent swimmer, fencer, and boxer), an intelligent young woman (especially in Astronomy, Physics, and History), and quite attractive. Victoria was well-disciplined and in peak physical condition. When Victoria turned fifteen, General Leon sent her off to military school, Galbadia Garden, where she graduated top in her class at the age of seventeen. As a SeeD, Victoria was in charge of many important mercenary missions, leading the succesful assault against the Timber rebels. As a Captain, Victoria was respected and admired. When the Galbadian Army asked to employ her in the main militia, Victoria accepted, at the age of twenty-one. As a General, Victoria served in the First Sorceress War, serving in many important battles. After the Sorceress War, Victoria was asked by the newly established Estharian Army to join. Victoria, sick of the Galbadian style of life, accepted, at the age of twenty-four. Victoria served five years in the main army of Esthar, leading many expeditions to the outskirts of Esthar and beyond. Victoria led the first expedition to the Centra Ruins and the surrounding desert. When the Space Program was announced, Victoria asked to join. Once the program was launched, Victoria was allowed to join. Now, she serves aboard the newly created, Ragnarok, the flagship of the Estharian Fleet and the main expedition spaceship. Victoria's personality is mixed. She is disciplined and strict when it comes to her military life, but she has a lighter side and can be fun to be with, after you get to know her. Victoria is friendly towards her crew, but can be strict when she is disobeyed. Victoria is a heavy smoker and, when angry, has a foul mouth. Never been romantically attached. Victoria is currently in Esthar Air Station #2, waiting for the Ragnarok's maiden voyage. Age: 36 Sex: Male Height: 10'11" Weight: 743 pounds Hair Color: Bald Eye Color: Black Physical Description: Will is a mountain of a man. He towers over every other officer on the Ragnarok, and yet his small eyes show nothing but kindness. His muscles are huge as well, he is able to lift over a half ton. Nothing on his body is robotic, other than his heart, which gave out due to his size. Attire: Being to big for the standard uniform he wears a black suit with a large leather trench coat. Job: CO-Captain of Ragnarok Rank: Commander BIO: Grew up with a normal life, except for the fact that he was six foot in 3rd grade. He signed up in the army as soon as he was 18, and grew attached to the people on the Ragnarok. Is extremely protective of the crew of the Ragnarok and would lay his life down for most of its crew. While he makes a good friend, he makes an even worse enemy.
