OOC: Wrath of the Gods

This is an RP thought up by Mythology Club and therefore restricted exclusively to the club's members. This thread is ONLY to be used to discuss things about the RP. That means, do NOT put any RP posts in this thread.

Setting: As discussed in the club thread, the RP takes place in Tenochtitlan, the famous Aztec city.

Premise: The story will begin with a small introduction to the state of the city at which point, all hell will break lose. This is due to the Aztec gods being dissatisfied with the efforts of the Aztec and consequently punishing the people for it. Each of the clubs characters will make an intro post to explain how he/she got to Tenochtitlan (be creative) and accordingly choose to protect the Aztec people or to help the Aztec gods in the destruction of the city.

Whoo, about time...

Name: Tyr the One-Armed, Norse God of Courage, War, and Justice
Race: Aesir
Age: Immortal
Physical Description and Equipment: Tall, strong, with profuse beard and long hair. Because of the incident with the wolf-god Fenrir, he is missing his right arm: the marks of the wolf's teeth are still fresh, yet not bleeding. He covers his arm with bandages to reduce the impact of the severed arm's look. He wears a gilstening chain shirt, a Nordic Helmet with wing motif, two golden wristband (one covering the bandaged severed hand), and glistening greaves over suede leather boots. He holds a longspear which he can wield with one hand despite its weight. Over his chainshirt, a surcoat bearing his symbol, the Victory Rune, which is also inscribed in his wristbands and spear.

After the Fenrir incident, Tyr's life torn into a monotone existence. While occupied listening to the prayers of the Nordic Warriors, he overheard the stories of sailors who uncovered new lands, far to the west. What worried him the most was the fact that the sailors had heard of foreign gods waging war on a land farther away, and that the sailors returned in fear the war could extend to the lands of Midgard. Tyr saw this as a chance to change his life, and he thus set forth to the new lands.

But his reasons were twofold: Odin, the greatest of the Norse gods, was turning into an evermore popular god, and he wanted some of the spark. While loyal to him, he still held a small grudge he wanted to keep hidden, and that often manifested in "friendly" rivalries. Could this war on the far lands give him the strength to finally defeat Wotan and finally claim to be the greatest of the Norse gods, and even more?

Great bio T.G. I'm loving the godly quarrel between our characters, I'm quite interested to see where this will go. Where are those other clowns? They still need to post their bios.

I'll edit this post later to include my bio. If all else fails, we can RP alone but it would be better with the other members.

Character Bio:

Name: Wotan (Odin)

Race: Aesir

Age: Immortal

Appearance: His head is adorned by a viking helm with nose guard, fused together with a godly crown made of mythril. His upper body is protected by a satin top covered by platemail iron armor. He wears brown leather boots and pants made of fine rabbit fur. Wotan has an overly long beard and is distinguished by his missing left eye which he gave to Mimir as an offering in turn for a taste from the well of wisdom.

Weapon: Wotan wields the mighty Gungnir, a spear famous for the fact that it never misses its mark. Gungnir is a long, steady, and elegant spear composing of a sturdy mythril shaft topped off by a robust yet extremely sharp spear point. The most interesting feature of this spear is probably the fact that it always returns to the wielder's hand like a boomerang.

Background Story: After many decades of endless wars among the Germanic tribes, a final battle was fought to try and establish suppremacy. Wotan led the Teuto tribe against the Burgunds to victory. With the end of the war came the retreat of Wotan into seclusion.

Countless prayers for Wotan's return went unanswered and the people eventually started to lose their faith. After a 50 year seclusion, Wotan returned to find a world full of people that worshipped a so-called 'Jesus Christ'. Extremely displeased with the people's change of faith, he started a crusade to purify the world of all other religions and establish paganism as 'the one true religion'.

After having subdued Europe with the help of his fellow gods, his sights turned towards the sea guarded by the Midgard serpeant. After tricking the serpeant into eating an apple that put it to sleep, Wotan felled a massive lumber created by the tears of a giant. He split the lumber and blew on the innards creating a hollow. He got into the lumber with some of the other Aesir and rode down the back of the sleeping serpeant.

Endless days later, they had arrived at a landmass covered by pecular trees that they had never seen before. Wotan was confused since his two ravens, Hugin and Munin had never told him of any such place. When Wotan placed foot on land, the ground started to tremble. The ground cracked open and a wolf-like creature jumped out (Tepeyollotl the Jaguar God). He growled at them to leave right away and that these lands were ruled by the gods of the Aztec.

Wotan hurled his spear at the wolf-monster but the being disappeared. Wotan and the other gods continued into the unknown lands. Tyr told Wotan that he had heard that the gods of these lands were waging war against the humans. Wotan saw this as an easy oppurtunity to throw the people under his faith. The eventually reached the gates of a city in turmoil.......

Odd, Red...you posted here as an answer to another person, yet forgot to post a bio? Well, I assume you have your reasons.

Kenji/Wotan, I am expecting the bio you have been promising since...Monday, I believe? Even with only both of us, I assume it shall be an entertaining moment. It was expected: what god would not want to steal the shine of being the greatest god of its pantheon? That, I assume, was the most challenging part of the bio: the respect and the envy Tyr has for Wotan, considering he's more of the honorable type.
