Metal Gear Solid OOC/Brainstorm
Okay...
I want to make a Metal Gear Solid RP, but I have no ideas. Plus, there is no MGS RP...can you believe that? This thread will turn into an OOC, once we have the plot set. I have permission to do this...so... Okay... So...anyone got ideas? You don't have to join the RP, just give me some ideas...oh, but don't give ideas unless you've played the games! I want to either make a MGS RP based around the Cobras from MGS3, before MGS3...in WWII OR set immediately after MGS1... But, it can be anything... I need some ideas! |

I don't think that Snake would kill Japs and Nazis...
or are you talking about Naked Snake from MGS3? Different people... Maybe... It could be some of FOXHOUND's previous missions (with Sniper Wolf, Decoy Octopus, Psycho Mantis, etc.) |

Okay sorry this isn't set directly after MGS1 or about the Cobras, but anyway.
I've always thought China was over looked in the series. I say this because they were in on the legacy and are capable of creating a Metal Gear project of their own. I also find it hard to believe China (an up and coming super power) would just sit back as America and Russia went toe to toe. So I was thinking that maybe this RP could be set in China uncovering the secret millitary operation of 動 金屬包覆;用碎石舖路 齒輪傳動的 aka Metal Gear. Prehaps even a three way battle between America, Russia and China. Complete with alliances and back stabbing. That sounds just about confusing enough for a Metal Gear game. Thanks, Donnington!!! That is perfect...now, shall we mold that idea into a full-scale RP? Are we gonna use Solid Snake or Big Boss? I am more partial to Big Boss, but, y'know, you thought of it. Ideas?...Wait, y'know, let's go with Big Boss, more stuff to work with. MGS2 made everything crazy, and setting it after that would be tough...yep, let's go with Big Boss in...1969? We can still work on that... Plus, we get to create out own set of villians... If it is set in China...I'm gonna go do some research... But, I think I have an idea for the villains. We can mold it later, but the classic terrorist group in every MG game, will be... The Dragons. We'll figure what is up with them later, but, I have the name for one of 'em. (Hopefully we can make 6, plus 2 extra villains.) Chinaman (concept for MGS2, scrapped) Master of all martial arts (hakkyoku-ken, ensei-ken, koen-ken, hagakure-ryu jujutsu, jeet kune do, kung-fu, tourou-ken,aiki ju-jutsu, etc.) Last edited by Red XIV; 01-22-2006 at 02:18 PM. |

Thanks Red, I'd be happy to play a character, hell I'd love to play several.

I would like that very much, I am a big MGS fan, completed them all. I've also played some of the orignal game. I hope I qualify.

You got the concept right...
but, no, characters in the club don't have anything to do with your character in the RP. It would be out of context for Solid Snake to come out and do stuff when he isn't even born yet...If you have a character in the time period, try it out. |

Well to create a good story for this RP we must first kno what makes a good MGS story. So here is a list of key features and qurks (feel free to add anything);
1.Snake 2.A group of mercinaries with odd related powers. 3.Ample opertunity to be almost discovered only to pull of a breath taking match of hide and seek 4.A missing or captured VIP 5.No Raiden whatsoever 6.Cool/big/unuseual weapons 7.Metal Gear of sorts 8.Pictures of half naked people 9.Dime a dozen moronic guards 10.Kick ass fight scenes 11.long ass cut scenes 12.Back-stabbing. 13.More back-stabbing 14.Smoking 15.A boss with whom you have a history 16.Torture scene 17.An ability to find out totally irrelevant details about characters when you really only want to save the game. 18.Arkward love between at least one character and a boss Those are my ideas I'll add anything you can come up with to the list and together we'll have the crazyist MGS ever RP'ed. I think you should do multiple ones at the same time. Otherwise there is no really logical way to put all of the characters together. You MIGHT be able to set it between MGS and MGS2. Then you could show what Snake has been up to since Octacon and he defected. Pull in a few extra characters to expand the story and help show how MGS2 began.
