Okay, so here's the deal. My character, Jackson, is about to be abducted into your (that of all the other characters) star system. It hasn't happened in the post yet. Therefore, my character will be the only person from earth in this RP. No exceptions. This way, we can still have a fantasy feel to the RP, but the completely random post I just wrote won't go to waste.

None of the other characters would be "human," per se, but they can certainly be humanoids with whatever features you'd like to add to them. Ears, tails, strange skin colors... it's all up to you. Just try not to stray too far from one another, so the first couple of posters will be the ones you'll want to emulate.

The name of the planet is still undecided, so I'll let the first person to join take care of that one. If you'd like to name any of the stars or moons or other planets or whatever, you're more than welcome to do that as well. The only one I care about is the one where we'll be playing ON -- note that your characters can be from other planets in the star system. Oh, and make the names (whether it's planets or characters) interesting, if you would. Please?

The basic idea for the RP is a fantasy setting, but with a little more of an inter-stellar touch. Yeah, that means you can go all out with your fantastical ideas; magic, summon spirits, etc.; with the spacy theme, alien technology out the ass.

That said, I'll go ahead and give you a rough overlook on Jackson. No need for any in-depth biographies or any crap like that, since this is an RP, and therefore will involve a lot of character evolution. Just follow my layout; I just want a basic visual.

Home Planet: Chibale
Species: Cynocephali
Race:Tau
Hair/Fur: Tawny Gold
Eyes: Amber
Build: Tall and very muscular
Defining Features: All Cynocephali are essentially bipedal canids or felines that only vaguely resemble humanoids. They have short fur covering their bodies and pointed ears that move independantly. Some have medium-length bushy tails while others have longer, short-furred ones. The Tau are tawny in color and have physical characteristics similiar to lions, with a noticeably leaner build. Males like Baruti have manes and their tails are tufted.

Additional Notes:

I borrowed the Cynocephali from ancient mythology. Originally they are basically humans with the heads of dogs, but I'm tweaking them to be more distinct and original. Hopefully I succeed.

Baruti is an Egyptian name that means 'teacher'.

Bakari (noble oath) is the name of his pride (family).

The planet name, also Egyptian, means 'kinsman'. It is the name the Cynocephali gave to the planet because they believe they are one with their world. Feel free to use a different name for the planet if you don't like mine.

There are several difference races of Cynocephali. The Tau (which means lion, and again in Egyptian) is one of felines.

Age: 25 human years. 482 Kitsune years.
Home Planet: Kosenagi; Larneqka Galaxy.
Species: Kitsune
Hair: Red like...ember.
Eyes: Green like....jade.
Fur: Light brown
Build: Taller than an average female kitsune. 5'11"
Defining Features: Bushy tail, and a specialist in manipulating shadows; a rather odd profession even in her planet. Though her intellect was more than able to make up for the odd profession and skill.

Notes: Kosenagi is a similar planet to earth, yet it is highly advanced in technology. Her planet may very well be responsible for abductions, but getting to Earth would take half a year. Kosenagi is home to many races of beings and not just Kitsune.

Naikenlar = Humanoid appearance. Two breeds; Graifel and Shigyakuteki. Graifel are the good natured kind, with divine magic and sorts. Very rare breed. Shigyakuteki are more common, which is why the Naikenlar are misunderstood to be demons. The Shigyakuteki are very evil in nature. Though only after they hit the age of 18, their personality becomes foul natured. The Graifel have above par endurance, but the Shigyakuteki have a great wit for battle.

Etanrya = Similar to LOTR style Elf. Though the thing that sets them apart is that they ditched their elven heritage and use modern weapons. So the elvish race banished them and forbade them to be called Elven. So they live in a different continent where they were later known as the "Kosenagi Military" so to speak.

Relepti = Reptilian ancestry; Able to regenerate lost limbs, and have acid ducts in their mouths as a weapon.

Kitsune = Kitsune have various magic skills that work along side the Military. They are mostly used as a medic unit. Though there are different squads of Kitsune in the military depending on the magic skill they specialize in.

Narytia = Human-like, except the males have higher amounts of pharamones, and can attract females with ease. It is not a permanent "on" ability. They can manipulate the pharamones to manipulate females when they see the need to.

I hope no one minds too much, but I'm going to be titling my posts. This is because if I think of something necessary or of interest to elaborate on, I'll post a set of relevant notes here. The easiest way to find these notes if anyone want or needs to reference something from my RP posts is to look for the title of that post here. The underlined words are any terms, names, or places that appeared in the RP post.

The King of the Desert Notes:

The Karakadon is a mythical creature, said to be a bull with a horn like a unicorn (just more deadly) whose breath and thunderous bellow struck fear into the hearts of people and animals alike. Again I did some tweaking, as no physical description was detailed. I also decided to make it into a carnivore, and in size it's twice as large as a normal bull.

The Tau live in the kingdom of Sakhmet (the name comes from a lioness worshipped by, you guessed it, ancient Egyptians), which is a giant desert, for the most part. As such, I'm assuming it would be somewhere in the southern hemisphere of Chibale (or whatever alternate name it's given). I'd estimate Sakhmet's total size to be comparable to Australia.

I didn't mention the Tau's physical statistics in my profile, but on average they're about seven feet tall and weigh in around three hundred pounds. As noted in the post, Baruti is about eight feet tall and three hundred and fifty pounds, making him large for his kind.

The Tau are not meant to be strong and stupid, either. They are, for the most part, civilized and honorable creatures with a deep respect for their lands and the animals in it. I referenced it in the beginning that the Karakadon was a Tau-eater, which is why Baruti hunted and killed it, not as some test of strength or whatever. Also, as you can somewhat tell from the Honor of the Defeated Baruti says near the end, the Tau place very high value on honor and ritual.

The Tau are not technologically advanced, as I believe was rather obvious, so they aren't responcible for any abductions. My intro is basically to establish what kind of people the Tau (specifically Baruti, of couse) are. How they become involved in the main story I dont yet know, but I'm open to suggestions.

Also, one thing that puzzles me has to do with language. Since everyone's part of different races on different planets, how do they all communicate? The Cynocephali have several different languages (each race has their own) and a common one they all learn so they can talk to each other. The Tau I imagine to have a language similiar to that of ancient Egypt, which is why most of my names are coming from there. (I have no idea what language Karakadon is from.)

I'm just adding all these extra details in case anyone is interested, basically. Worldbuilding is one of my favorite parts of writing, so I apologize if I've scared people off or gone a bit overboard.

Nah, I don't mind the titling. It's not something that I'll be doing myself, but it doesn't bother me.

In a little while, I'll start writing up my second post; I know there are a couple of people waiting on me before they come into it (since I want to be the one to get Jackson to your neck of the woods, I asked that no one post anything about earth, and Trev wants to be the alien that abducts me, so yeah).

I don't know why I put that into parenthesis.

Anyway, the people I've heard back from thus far are Merlin and Ultima Trev.

Others invited at this point are ToroMor, Ryayuko, Indigo, and Andromeda (who has shown interest, but hasn't decided). This is also open to a select few members of the Soldiers of the Moderate for activity purposes, so it's first come, first serve for them.

This more or less just decided it for me. I'll be arriving in orbit around Kosenagi by the end of my upcoming post.

That would make Trev's character from Kosenagi as well, since he's the one abducting me. By the way, he's a friendly, not a hostile. I figure I won't actually meet HIS character until I'm in orbit, that way I can incorporate somewhat of a crew, and he can still create his character however he'd like.


...I'd hope a couple other people would start on another planet though, or else DH is stranded all by herself.

I would really like to participate but I hate inactive RPers and I would be one myself due to my current vacations and the shitload of work that awaits me soon after. So I must say no. I even had to abandon the TRPT which really is a pain in my ass.
Or is there a chance to jump in later - let's say in 3-4 weeks?

Haha, well, since it's my RP, I'll be glad to tell you that it's perfectly fine for you to jump in later. We can create a plot hole for you when the time comes (if you'd prefer), or you can just jump in wherever you see fit.

I don't mind it one bit. It's just that I've seen the way you handle yourself with your writing, and I rather enjoy it. That, of course, is why you got the invite. ^_^



Oh yeah, and I apologize in advance for the sheer length of the post I'm about to start -- there's a lot to cover in the six month trip from Earth to Kosenagi. Of course, I've got a way around that, but that doesn't change the fact that there's much to write. Most of the physical length actually comes from dialogue.
