Why else do you think I haven't written a damn thing about what everything is "like"? I don't see the need for a massive history of the universe prior to getting the story off the ground. History can be included only when necessary, and even then, it can be included here in the OOC instead of in the RP itself.

That's one of the reasons I hesitated so long with Poulus Prophecy, and it's something I'm beginning to see reflected here in my own. I don't mind a little setup or anything, but I really hope you guys don't turn the thread into a educational history book.

Other information: The Buteo look very much like humans with red-tailed hawk features; they can turn their heads nearly 360 degrees, they have very powerful vision, and most of their attack force comes from their talons and high speed flying. They cannot express emotion using their face like most species can, and rarely ever joke. Think of a Siren from Greek mythology. I'll get a drawing up ASAP.

Oh well... if I stick around, good for me. If I suddenly go MIA for more than three days, you'll know I've been cut. We'll see what happens. Hopefully nothing will get cut off, but these things happen. That's life.

I still hate the fact that my dad got swapped from hourly + commission (ideal in any job) to straight commission (the worst way to get paid). There hasn't been much business lately... so money is something that simply doesn't exist. Even though my mom's keeping me out of her financial statements, the last I saw... she's only got about a hundred bucks left in her checking account, her savings account is empty, and there's about $300 in bills that still need to be paid. I dunno if that's changed, but... blegh.

Heh, and this one will REALLY rattle your cages.

Yesterday, I started pissing blood. No big deal, the urologist said it could happen with the stint. You know, a few drops of blood can make the urine pretty red. Well, it's not just a few drops of blood. It's more like mostly blood, and a few drops of urine. And then today, I noticed blood clots in the toilet before I flushed. Not fun. Clots = bad news.

If it keeps up for more than another day, I may be re-hospitalized.
