## Official TFF Team RP Tournament ## *Cool Prizes!*

That's right folks, this isn't no RPB Tourney..there's always RPB Tourneys.. so what about the RPers, eh?

Well unlike the RPB Tournaments, with this tournament you can win prizes! First of all, the team that wins the tournament will receive a good dose of points(the specific amount will be determined by Fuzz and I) which work on the main site! If you haven't heard about the Point System, you're really missing out. Go check it out here if you haven't already. The second prize is a kickass Title Banner to show off how cool you are. If you remember the title banners we used to have, you'll know what I am talking about. We haven't yet added new ones back, but it is definately in the works.

Requirements:

If you wish to participate, you must be active in the Tournament. Inactivity will hurt your team's overall score.
You don't have to be a Master RPer! This Tournament is NOT a competition to see who is the greatest writer, that is purely opinion. On the other hand, there are ways to win points for things like "Post of the Day", Eagle Eye, etc which do involve how you RP. And for Vet RPers, fear not.. spamming will not be beneficial to your opponents..
There must be at least two teams(obviously.. you can't have a team tourney with one team... ^_^)
Each team can have 4-5 members. Any less and the team cannot participate.

General Information:
This is a team-based RP Tournament, which means that there will be multiple teams and each team has its own individual topic to RP in. The basic storyline will start off the same for each team, for fairness. What you do after the introduction post is completely up to you. If you want to pretend the whole setup was a dream and go a different way, it is perfectly legal. But of course, there is a downside.

You can earn Bonus Points for using various story elements, NPCs, and PCs that will be listed when the Tournament starts.

You can use provided PCs in your RP: Let's say a PC provided is named Bob, you can actually BE Bob as your character and get Bonus Points each time you post. You must be true to the character though. If you make Bob an evil badass and he's listed as a good-hearted fellow, you'll get nailed.
Interacting with provided NPCs: You can get Bonus Points for using NPCs that are provided. You cannot be the NPC, but you can interact with it.
Provided Story Elements: There will be a list of certain story elements that will net you bonus points if you integrate them into your RP. For example: 'Have Bob go to the Rutheran Dungeon and kill the dragon'.

So obviously you can see, if you dump the storyline, you won't be getting all these bonus points!

Now since this is a Tournament, there needs to be some competition, right? That's where the Eagle Eye(tenative name) system comes into play. If you notice your opponent team(s) abusing the rules, you can net bonus points for catching it. You can also nail people for grammar as well! The grammar level is about 7th-8th grade. This obviously means you can't eagle eye something that is college level grammar. So don't fear if your grammar isn't at genious level. If you can write something that a Middle School Teacher wouldn't tear to shreds, you're safe..

I assume you all can write that good anyways..

I'm not going to make this super-complicated by any means. I want people to have fun with this and be active. The rules will be kept simple and explained in full detail.

If you wish to participate, please post now! You don't have to decide on teams right this second. I want to see how many people that are interested in this before that. But once people start posting, I recommend teaming with people you trust and who you know will be active in this. This is no one-man/woman RP.. you have to work as a team! I am willing to help people decide on teams if you wish, but I recommend you decide that yourselves.. you know best who you trust and who you can work with. There's nothing worse than teaming with people you can't stand, now is there..

So please post! If you have any questions or comments, feel free to speak up. This is just a basic run-through of info. Oh and if none of you want to participate.. I'll give your points to the staffers.. BWAHAHA!!! Ok, I wouldn't do that.. but please, if you love RPing and want a chance to win stuff or just hang out with your buddies, then participate.

Tenative Starting Date: July 5.
June 27-July 4 is a practice week.

If enough people find this date inconvienient, I am willing to adjust it slightly. I am not going to budge it into the school year though. This is a Summer Tourney! ^_^

I'll be willing too....tho July second and fourth I'll be busy all day....prolly be able to sneak on later at night tho. Family reunion and baby shower (my own).

But hey...I'm all up for it! SB knows how I can be...our first RPs were together and really I think it went really well.

But yeah, I'm up for a challenge....

I might as well go ahead and try this out so you can count me in. I havnt wrote an RP since I was in that club with Andro so this should be a little weird. Just a question but will there be a seperate part in the forums just for this? (team sections, the actual RP's, OOC threads, etc)

I'm in, I'll have to be gone though for about a week and a half though in late July...going to Japan for a little trip...

I can't wait to hear the theme so I can start brainstorming my character up...Yay!

Yesh. I need to RP... I haven't for awhile. Maybe I should practice writing, I'm quite rusty, but I'm sure I'll succeed =DD hehe. I'm gonna be active, too since it's summer and all lol. Yep... sho, count me in d00d =)

For people that feel that they are rusty and want to get some practice in before the show, I might suggest going to the TFF Royalty in the Club Forum. It is a RPing group that is going to be starting a new RP soon.

As for myself, /sigh I do not know if I want to join. I also do not know if I will have time when college turns again, and I have a conference I am going to at the end the end of July and early August for a week. I guess if I can find some people I know well enough to RP, I guess I will join.

The BoD is going in. We have an amount of decent RPers and we're surely up for it. And i as one of the leaders can make an official statement about it. So even if you say that there's no need to choose a team now. I can say that we as the Brotherhood of Doom will participate. So yeah, count US in.

The RPs will have their own forum so that the topics will not get bumped by non-tournament topics. Each team can have a private sub-forum within that if you wish, so that you can discuss plans, etc.

In any case, if you have a team decided, make sure to give it a name. It doesn't have to be anything super-fancy, but this is RPing.. so be creative..

Oh and Andromeda, why don't you try contacting some folks from Cesar's mini-forum for teamers? I feel sure they'd be interested.. ^_^

Nice suggestion....I think I'll take ya up on that one tomorrow. Either that or I'll get SB to do some 1-1 training over IM or something.

Well....how many teams are we gonna have?? I don't think it's fair an entire club joins up as a single team and automaticaly just "leave" other members for the single other team if we're just g
