I'm not even really in it for the competition itself.....just to be an excellent RPer....I was thinking about getting into it again before I leave in late August. This'll be my last RP experience then.

Its been so long I don't remember who all was in it(don't shoot me! I just worked all night so my brain is fuzzy as well). I know you and I were... but yeah, there are similarities between this and that. I am trying to make sure the stuff that pissed us off in RPJam is missing from this though... like that damn backassed stuff on posting order over different threads. There will be posting order, but much simpler. No double-posting(AA) or tag-team(same two people keep posting back-to-back 3X consecutively [ABABAB]), basically. Or of course the infamous ABACADABACAD.. turbo poster writing right after any team member posts.. ugh. Turbo Posting is more objective and therefore could be disputed if you give enough proof that you are just posting, not trying to spam up your points. You'd have to give some damn good proof though, because its pretty apparent when you're trying to cheat. Other than that, I don't care. Those are just the simple three to eliminate the spam-for-point methods. Post like you normally do(or should) in RPs and you have nothing to worry about. I'm not an ass, I just hate cheating.

As for me participating, I am most likely going to simply be the head dude. If I participate then it would be unfair for me to judge things... which means I'd have to find someone else and then everything could suddenly go all funky... Of course, its not like I won't be writing. All of the intro stuff will be by me. On the other hand, if this thing turns out great and we do another one, I will want to be in it..

Wait let me rephrase that.. this one will turn out great, and when we have the next, I'll participate..

Syd, how about the two of us team with Ballz and SB? I hear tell SB's a pretty good writer, and I remember clearly that Ballz does great stuff.

Hah! I still have the old RPJ forums on TFF.. I never deleted them. We had Sid, Syd, Shan'do Spike, Pete, fragdemon, and myself. Syd is no longer with us though.. which sux. If you could manage to get the rest of them, it'd be close.. ^_^ Something I think is funny, the original RPJ site is apparently offline or dead. wee!

Oh damn, I forgot about 4th of July.. some ppl will probably be out of town. Well how about this.. June 27-July 4 will be a practice week to get people used to how it will work. Everything will be tallied, etc but it is just practice. You aren't "required" to RP in this timeframe, but I would recommend it so you know how it will work and won't get kicked in the butt by unexpected things. How's that sound?

Oh and I will soon make a forum for this which will be in Spotlight Theatre directly under Roleplaying. I will continue to accept people into this through July 4th. Just keep in mind that you won't get any practice time if you sign up after the 26th of June..

The more people the better, so join the fun ^_^

I've been MIA for the past two months, and I think it's time for a comeback. I must say, this is probably the best idea I've seen in awhile. A definite activity booster, not to mention good ol' roleplaying fun. It's been awhile since I've done some creative writing, but it's good to know that skill doesn't count.

I'm open for teams, should anyone desire.

I know we lost... but do you know who won?

My memories of the Jam involve me posting less and less mainly because I wasn't interested in the story... (I tried occasionally to pull slightly away from the main story to make my own character's story... but then I had to pull back into it to get more points). And I remember there being gripes and mocking often.

So I think as long as you write a better "Seed Thread" a majority of our gripes would go away.

I'm interested/teamless.

Yeah, I'll go put up a notice on my forums about this little tournament, and that's an entire team right there. I'd love to participate myself, but the damned date is the day before I go into surgery, so I'm gonna miss like... the whole tournament.

Maybe my team will do me proud, eh?
