Dream Existence (GDC & Invite Only)

[Rain McCloud]

As mentioned in the GDC thread, I've decided to post my RP. Here are some of the characters, once more. Below this will be what I need to know here about how you want your character to be portrayed in the story. I'll post the initial events and then we can go from there.

Well, I've got a list of Characters for an RP for the GDC. Here they are in random order:

Rain McCloud: Individual that is mostly to himself. 6'5" wearing black jeans and tank top under a leather jacket. Has a blue flame on the back of his jacket. Skilled swordsman. Lives with his sister. Father vanished while traveling to a neighboring country. Mother was killed during the separation of their home city Extou from the rest of Maelchom (The world the story takes place in). 19 years old.

Sarah McCloud: Rain's sister. Really outgoing, friendly. Wears brighter colors and has waist-length hair. Playful. 5'10". 16 years old. Lives with her brother on Extou.

Kelly Ashguard: Rain's best friend. Secretly has crush on Rain. He feels the same but the two are at a standstill on what to do. Is an orphan, much like Rain and Sarah, but lives in a nearby orphanage. Likes anything blue. 5'5". 18 years old. Long black hair, about mid back. Has a pet she calls lotus. Small, dark black in color, makes squeeky noises but understands human language, plays bigger role a little later.

Marv Wrildehorn: Another friend. Closer to Rachel than anyone. Though they are not really together, a lot of people would say that they are just hiding their feelings for eachother. Likes to spar off with Rain and anyone who challenges him, unless it's a girl. 6'0". Shoulderlength black hair. Oddly likes to wear purple shirts and blue jeans.

Rachel Balshezar: She's a spunky little gal, shoulder-length reddish-brown hair, hazel green eyes. Same age as Marv, and best friend to him. Also has a secret crush on him (though Sarah's the only one that knows about it) fights with a fairly large sword, also made of diamond with bits of purple crystal etched into the blade. Much like marv, she likes to fight, but she'll fight anyone. Same age as Marv. 5'6".

Marcus Malthus, Sam Fieldborn, Joe Carbuncle: The "3 Punks." These guys are the rotten apples of Extou. Joe has been maturing a bit more than the others, but he still hangs out with them. All of them wield average swords. Like to fight with Rain and try to snatch some of the younger girls in Extou for fun. Marcus is 22, Sam 24, Joe 20.

The Jetolf: A massive beast standing 25' tall. Half giant, half lion (face and lower body of a lion, including four legs, upper torso of a giant man, massive muscles. Works as a trainer and diamond swordsmith. Old friend of the McCloud family. Was created or found (still unknown which exactly) by a Dr. William Jameson Bach. At beginning, lead Bach's armies against Rain's father, but after witnessing an atrosity during the war, he killed off Bach's army and joined the people of Extou in humble agreement with the McCloud family, becoming very faithful to the throne.

Dr. William J. Bach: A very intelligent and creative individual. Devious and strategic, he was banished to Maelchom's moon where he remains on a base to study what he wishes. Is in charge of a massive group of scientists who later followed him up to the moon for their own reasons. Currently trying to create a world of his own. Found the secret to eternal life many years ago and is estimated to be 200+ years old, even though he only looks 35.

Dr. Jago Falto: A scientist under Bach's rule. Is questioning Bach's intention with this latest project and goes headstrong into things. Is not considered playable until later in the story. Was the initial test sample for the eternal life potion, aging him to about the same age as Bach, even though he looks even younger.

Henry VanClerin: A highly intelligent person, much like Bach. Is actually the age that he looks, which is around 18 years. An amazing person, keeps much to himself. Is friends with Dr. Bach. They communicate often by an email system that the two of them developed between eachother. History is very well a mystery for this fellow. Secretly has a crush on Kelly, but knows she likes Rain and that Rain likes her as well.

These are a few of the characters in my story. Although with the RP, there will hopefully be more that I have not listed here, but these characters are all playable. Although I will take charge of a few of them, just to follow a part of the storyline. I will be Bach, Rain, and Jago, just for the start of it all. Later on in the RP their slots will be open for anyone crafty enough to be the super villian and *spoiler* a blue werewolf. Other characters can be added, using any of the above races. If this works for any of you guys, I can try to get it started over in the RP section. It will be a GDC and Invite Only RP.

I already know Neo doesn't really care for RPs and that most of us won't be able to be there very often to post, but I'd still like to do something with this club. I think we should have enough members to get it started and keep it going, if they stay with it.

Name: (choose from above or make one up; Cannot play as Rain, Jago, or Bach as of yet.)
Species: (Cat girl, human, anytype of animal-human combination. Characters above are human except for the Jetolf and when Jago comes back in, he'll be different as well.)
Age: (self explanatory, though it is already set with some of the characters listed above)
Short Bio: (Copy and paste for those who choose an initial character, try to come up with one that falls into the storyline if not; Characteristics of your character/appearance; include things that set you apart from other people, if any. Have fun with it; the characters above can have special features added if you like.)
Weapon(s) of choice: (Only bladed/club/staff/melee weapons allowed at the beginning, later on more weapons become available; No magic, using potions and stuff to heal)

Age: 19
Bio: Is mostly to himself. Lives with his sister in their family's old home. Lost both parents to different events that took place many years ago. Protects the local girls from a gang of really bad dudes known as the "3 Punks". Is in love with Kelly, his best friend who is much an orphan as he is. Height-About 6'5", Weight-198lbs, extra features-scars from past swordfights in the Coliseum's championships and training with the Jetolf.
Weapon: A diamond blade named the LyonVulc that was made especially for him by the Jetolf. Highly skilled with it.

Uh Rain, Who's Rachel she's only metioned once and thats in Marv's bio and I'm going to be Marv so I need to know who she is. I spiced up the way you had his things but they're still the same.

Name: Marv Wrildehorn

Species: Human

Age: 17 years

Short Bio: Another friend within the group. Very close to Rachel, although they're not a couple as of yet, Marv really likes her but he gets really shy around girls. Marv usually picks fights with everyone, except girls(too shy).
Marv's about 6'0" and has shoulder length, jet black hair. He wears a tan shirt under his unbuttoned, mauve dress shirt. Sky blue jeans and black shoes.

Weapon(s) of choice: Use's his fists, feet, head, knees, elbows you know whatever.

Species: Mythera (Human breed crossed with lion like qualities)
Age: 18
Height: 5'10"
Short Bio: A highly intelligent person, much like Bach. Likes to pretty much keeps to himself. Is a friend of Dr. Bach. They communicate often by an email system that they developed. History is very well a mystery for this fellow. Secretly has a crush on Kelly, but knows she likes Rain and that Rain likes her as well.
Weapons of choice: Cast Iron Sword. This weapon is very sharp at the edges and is about 4 feet in length. The handle is consisted of a steel like mixture and the blade is made up of cast iron. Henry likes to think of it as an extension of his own body.

Atma as Marv, and Streaml1ned as Henry. You guys can go ahead and post in the RP when you're ready. It's down the page a bit, mainly because of lack of use. But it is there. Same title. Thanks guys.

Oh and Streaml1ned, nice sig for the GDC. But be sure to turn it off when you're in the RP forums. It's against the rules and it kind of makes the RP harder to read. Later.

No problem. Say, can you think of anyone for the parts of the female characters? Right off the top of my head I was thinking of asking some of the members of Femme Fatale and Chez to see if they'd be interested. I hope more people sign up. I may have to open it up a bit.

Also, be sure to make your posts count in the actual RP. I've seen Skai attack a few others where they were doing basically one sentence to three sentence posting and I really don't want that. I say make it at least two paragraphs, if you can. Thanks in advance.

Okie Dokie... since we haven't had anyone else join in, I'm opening this RP to everyone who posts decently (a paragraph or more, not one of those one sentence ridiculous things that if I was a mod I'd delete without a second thought ) I'm going to invite a few people I think will do well in the RP, so try to post when you can, you two that have already joined. Yes. Yes I can. I'm going to have KC's RP starting up soon, and I've got a couple of semi-active RPBs (as well as one that'll be really active once I post my intro), and the TOA starts up in eleven days.

Of course, since I'm not actually writing in the TOA, that shouldn't make much of a difference. Anywho, I'll take a closer look at this when you begin constructing a plot. It doesn't have to be a full plot or anything, but just a little something for our first fifteen posts or so to go by. You get those ideas posted, and I'll have a look, feel out the characters, and join up.

(Note that I said post the ideas, not all 15 of the RP posts. )

Hehe... thanks for posting guys. Loco, the story begins in a peaceful floating Isle called Extou, on a world similar to Earth. Slightly more advanced in that people are actually living on this planet's moon, it is very similar. Characters here wield swords, bows and arrows. The difficult thing about this story is that it doesn't just take place in one world, but many. Another is Earth, two come from the same planet and are gunslingers. In particular, Richter and Eva play those parts. You can create your own character to tie in with any of the worlds. All of them come to the same conclusion... the darkness devours them... sending some of it's people to a world shrouded in darkness, and inhabited by strange dark beasts and Dr. Bach, the creator of the darkness. It will appear soon enough.

Hmm... I assume this all-consuming darkness would be coming up within the next dozen posts, since there would be no apparent reason for your characters to be drawn together beforehand, yes?

I may bring myself into things shortly after the "big event," because it would be really easy to jump in at that point in time. I can come from who-knows-where, and share a common goal with the rest of the characters. Consider my character a mercenary, who would go out on his own if not for the fact that you guys decide to give him a nominal fee to help you out.

Not to destroy a future plotline or anything, but my idea is that this mercenary character could, at some point down the road, reveal that he's been working for Dr. Bach the whole time before disappearing in order to deliver the information he's collected on you. From there, your chase moves from one of Dr. Bach to one of the mercenary, as you know he'd end up leading you right to the doc anyway.

Just a thought, and if you already had another idea for the plotline, this doesn't have to happen at all. I just thought it might make a nice little twist for your game, let alone the RP.

Other then that I like it. I'm still not totally clear with what you want Marv to do yet Rain. I'll just follow along for now.

Hmm...So the darkness is the Dream existance then if it's Bach's creation right? Ritcher and Eva must be newer characters seeing how there's no info on them yet.
