Role Playing Moderator Mentors! PLEASE READ

Alright, after talking to both Skai and Yuna, its generally agreed its time to get back to work and make the TBRPG forum a better place for all. Its time to improve the quality of the RP's we have, and remain the best forum for it there is.

So this little project will help with that. What this is, is an open discussion topic, if you have questions, post them here and the moderators can answer it for you. We will also open up a registration topic, and you will be able to sign up for a Mentor topic that will be opened. What it will be is a story that the mods will start, and be involved in. There we will try to focus on a basic story line, but really just tutor and show what we believe is a good way to start. Now, you know writing is an artform unique to an individual. Our focus in this is to give the basic pointers to good RP posts, what it means to participate in a TBRPG and so forth. In this story topic we will set basic story lines to follow, maybe even different settings, plots and so forth, setting scenarios for people to experience. We will critique and comment on your posts as the topic progresses, giving our ideas and opinions. Hopefully this will help you improve as a writer, and keep active and interesting stuff going here in the forum.

Maybe get some activity back with new and fresh ideas.

Also the third part is if you have a particular story you want a mod to oversee or even participate in, post what it is and a brief idea. We can participate in it (no promises to how active), and like comment on ideas, story flow, general post structure and so forth, more indiviual based help.

Hopefully between this we as mods will have a more active role in the forum, and the RP forum will just see a spark of activity as well.

Anyway, first of all.....what the hell does TBRPG stand for?

Second - Explain Mentor status further. If it's what I think it might be, sign me up. But just in case, just explain both further...

Well first off TBRPG- Text Based Role Playing Game, which a RP really is in a sense. I learned of it off various members here and other websites that had the same thing. If it makes you feel better you can just keep calling it Role Playing, but its really a TBRPG forum hehe.

And being mentors I personally will mentor people, or various stories as they are posted... much as I said, we would just kinda watch over those who ask us to. Post training topics for more mass help, or focus on a more individual basis by request and time available for the mods. We could post within the actual topics or by PM every time we get time, giving pointers, reviews, critiques and so forth. It really just gives the mods of the RP forum something to be actively involved with, because its IMPOSSIBLE for us to post in every topic or keep a bunch of stories active. This isnt like your conventional forum, we have a different job to do. I believe this is what we as mods should do... I talked to the others and they seemed cool with the idea.

There is a thread called, "What is this?" in the main forum asking about what is the purpose for this forum. There are a few questions there that I have answered and it could serve as a starting ground to, "what is role-playing?"
