Yeah, I saw the warnings he was getting in the thread in highbridge. And a guy with only one day of experience was not someone to be in the RP. 39-40k is my highest.

I haven't RPed with you before Loco, be fun to have someone different. But yeah most of your character to will natural come out in the RP, so a brief bio is all that you really need here. There is a lot to read, just remember as much as you can.

Heh... I just noticed that our friend saint35 signed up as a dragon... who wears a tiny shirt and short shorts. Wow... no clue at all, eh?

So... I read all of it. Well, I slowly skimmed the background info so that I could take in the important items, but I fully read the post about the races and whatnot.

I can't say that I often reuse characters in RPs, since this would really only count as my second serious one... certainly, I recycle RPB characters, but that's different altogether. So, that random bit of knowledge having been said, let's see what I can come up with.

I thought it would be fun, trying something completely different. I've never messed with a non-humanoid race before, so this should be quite interesting.



Name: Q'thal (pronounced keh-Tal)
Gender: Male
Race: Centaur
Age: 37 (On your timeline, his birthdate is 19975 GA)
Height: 8' 5"
Weight: 607 pounds
Eyes: somewhat of a steely grey
Hair: a rich, chocolate brown; shoulder-length and messy
Weapons: dual chained flails
Wizard Level: No interest in the art of magic
Social Standing: Outcast

Appearance:
Waist upward: A tanned, rough leather vest to help shield from the elements. A white strip of cloth tied around the bicep of his left arm; blood stained.
Waist downward: The "horse" half. Very well defined muscles beneath a thin and rugged black coat of hair. His tail fades into a chocolate color, much like the hair atop his head. The horse body is torn with scars and various wounds from conflict, as the enemies' weaponry rarely reached his torso.

Brief background:
Years of anguish and solitude have left Q'thal with a certain bitterness toward the humans. He has been attacked countless times in his sleep merely because he is misunderstood by the men. Eventually, Q'thal led a one-centaur uprising against the oppression he had received for so many years in his small village. The men came for him with swords and pikes, but Q'thal's superior build granted him the toughness and agility needed to withstand attacks. It was a bloody day, merely two years prior to present day, and a day Q'thal would never forget. The day he galloped away from his home, leaving thirty men dead in his wake. The Day of Slaughter.

Just so there is not much confusion on things. Let you know about a few things that you may or may not know. The concept of time is the same in Linona just the record of time is different. Its dealt in degrees and not minutes or hours. 180 degrees in a day of sun and another 180 degrees in a day of moon. The position of the sun or moon to the horizon is the way time it understood. Devices much like a sundail can keep track of time. There is also magic spells that can be set and made to keep track of time, like a watch or clock would. They are quite expensive items and some Wizards have the power to do this. But its not a commonly sought out field of magic.

Also the Wizards and the social methods with them. Wizards are a widely respected job. So there are certain curtessy that come with that. Wizard, as a title is the most informal someone would get when addressing someone that is a Wizard. It is also when someone does not know their status. If the status is known then often their rank will be used when speaking to them. Such as someone who is a Master or Sage, etc would be called by such. Now naturally there are interal rankings between each, but most people do not use them as using the full title is a formality seen in special occasions.

The Race of Men, which is what they were called before the War of the Tainted Gods. Is more or less the title of the race. Man, human is not a term that is associated with Man. Humanoid and human can be descriptions, but more properly should be address as the name of the race that human refers to. That would be Man. However, as I said the Race of Men were call that until the War of the Tainted Gods. Then afterwards with the political and social shift of men to women in who now the power. This being as such, the women wished to remove the denotation of the name "Man" from the name of their race. This was done for severals reason, the afore is one. It was also to show the other Great Races the shift of power and reassure them that women ran things now and not the men. This was so the Great Races would not have doubts about a future war with the men. The name change from Man to Woman was not much of a change and seems quite silly probably. But the proper name for them is now Woman. (The lack of originality is not without irony.) So in the future when you read posts. Be aware that there is a difference between Woman and woman. The difference that Woman refers to the race and woman refers to only one person.

And as before, read my posts quite carefully and thoroughly. As they will make important key points on things of how the world of Linona is. Beliefs, theories, ideas, culture, etc. Probably most if not all of the posts will have something new and important about the world. Good things to know for you all.

And also Dragonheart probably won't be able to join us. She told me that her parents are cutting her internet. So it'll be difficult for her to get on the forums.

Well, I hope you guys read the Gen Chat b/c I've won a trip to Barbados. Upon my return, I don't think I will have as much time/commitment to TFF and would like to pass off my RPing (take off where I left it) to someone willing. OR another option is just to kill my character off. What do you guys suggest?

Its troubling to see the people leaving the RP. But I guess at least it is at the beginning where the problem is not so great of an issue. Though I was wanting more people. Oh well. Well Soyokaze about your character, considering the lack of development and interaction you've have with the character thus far, there is little trouble with just not seeing again. Someone who simply ran into someone and was never seen again.

Another change of plans for me, my mom changed her mind and now I'm back to weekends only. >_< She might be in a better mood next week, but there's no way of telling. I've been busy with school, work (I have extra shifts now), and holiday junk in general. I'll post sometime this coming weekend, but my activity will be sporadic at best until I get everything sorted out.

Well as long as you can post I'll be happy. Once things are moving I am going to try to encourage posting once a week. That is what I am going to try to work towards hopefully.

Okay, I've printed out all fourteen pages of the RP from the archives (smaller text, nicely formatted), as well as eighteen from this thread, also from the archives. Yes, they're good for that. ^_^

About Soyo... I don't know if you know it, but she's left TFF. Supposedly permanently, and not just temporarily. She left with the whole Usagy blowout thing. I wouldn't expect any more input from her in your RP, so if you had any big plans for her character... uhh... well, sorry.

And I apologize it's taken me so long to get to this. I've been out of school for a couple weeks, but with dead week a couple weeks ago and then finals last week, it's still been somewhat hectic. I can't say expect a post tomorrow, but I promise you'll have one by the end of the week. I need to pick up the pace with things around here, since I'm not working and I've still got another five weeks of no school. There's an RP over in SOLDIER I should stop neglecting as well, and I'm going to have a couple RPB's going for anyone who wants to get into shape for the TOA, which I intend on starting in mid-May.

I'll have a lot of writing on my plate, but knowing that the one in the SOLDIER forum died off as quickly as it did, I'm sure most of my focus can come here, to your RP.

Again, sorry for the wait, but I've been busy/stressed. You know how it goes.

Yeah I knew about Soyo leaving, the issues around I don't nor do I wish to know. As for big plans, no the only plans I make are for my character's development, not yours. You are in control of your own characters path. I don't like controlling or plotting out other people's paths. Though once the RP is moving, I'll be weaving in elements as they seem to fit.

And for posting, just glad to see you are still alive and coming to post. I can't say this RP has had the best start. But hopefully it'll have a conclusion.

Cesar says he's in a writing slump.. so it'll be a while till he has something to write.
But with DH, hmmm... all she does is go to school and play FFXI. I think she ought to have time to write up an RP post instead of playing FFXI *cough*.
