Izak runs through the back streets of Zanarkand. Above, a storm cloud drizzles rain over the city, and lights it up with lightning. At his side, a machina gun serves him as protection. This is the first time he had ever used a gun, he usually uses a sword. But, this is no ordinary occasion.
War has come to the Great Machina City. Bevelle, another massive city, has declared war.

Outmanned and outgunned, Zanarkand doesn't stand a chance. Izak's home will be destroyed; along with his friends, family, and the rest of the city.

After miles of sprinting, he finally makes his way home. He stops at the door and bends over, breathing heavily. Something is wrong. He says to himself in his mind. The front door has been broken in. Izak readies his gun and slowly enters his home. There is no lights on inside, all Izak could hear is his own heavy breathing and water dripping from his hair. He checks room after room and finally makes it to the kitchen. At this time, his mother and his father would be in there making dinner.

In the upper corner of the kitchen, his parent's bodies sit huddled toghether. The have been killed by Bevelle riflemen. Izak sighs and then drops to his knees. His eyes dialate and he begins to sob. He drops his gun and covers his face with his hands.

After he gives his respects and covers them both with a sheet, he goes to recover his sword. Before he can grab it, light comes from nowhere and fills the room. Nothing remains except for one thing. A stone pedistal sits in the middle of a platform he was on. Two sword like keys are stuck into the pedistal. Keychains are conected to the end handles. Izak moves in closer, suspicious of his surroundings, he looks everywhere for enemies.

Izak reaches for the two swords, someone behind him speaks. He spins around. A woman in a white trench coat stands there with here hands behind here back. "That is the fabled Keyblade," she says as she approaches Izak. "Who are you?" He asks her. "I am a friend. Long have I been waiting to meet you Izak." Her voice was kind, but at the same time, she sounded like she was a seasoned fighter. "You seem to know MY name. I wish to know yours." He commanded. "I cannot tell you my name, for I cannot remember it. Long ago I had lost it." She stands opposite Izak behind the pedistal. "But what I CAN tell you is the Story of the Keys...."

"Since the beginning, light and darkness had been in forever balance. "But there came a time when a curious man dove into the Heart. Searching for answers. But what he found was darkness, hidden in light. This man was Ansem the Wise. He and his apprentices studied the darkness, and tried to learn from it. But, the darkness instead took hold of them. Previous experiments who lost their Hearts became creatures without Hearts, the Heartless. Ansem's apprentices also beacome Heartless. BUT, when a person with a strong Heart becomes a Heartless, their body remains behind, an empty shell. These are the Nobodies.

"Ansem's apprentices where different, they kept their physical form and memories. They formed the Organization XIII. They were defeated by the Chosen One. Now, the darkness returns in greater mass. This is why you are here. You are chosen to be a Keyblade Master. But beware: there will be others. Both who serve the light and the darkness. Now, take them, take them and fullfill your destiny."

She urges Izak to take the Keyblades. He looks at here suspiciously, but nevertheless he grabs the handles. He stares into her hood, trying to see her face, but it is covered in light. He focuses his attention back to the Keyblades. He pulls with all his might to free them. After a few failed attempts, he trys one last time. He heaves with all his might and releases them. The glow in his hands. "I'll call them the Duo Dragoons." The woman laughs. "That- that is an interesting name." A small beam of light shoots from Izak's right-hand Keyblade to the woman's Heart. "Now I remember my name... it is Alex. Hm? There is a memory there too, you're there. A word comes to mind: Lover." Light pours from the Keyblades, engulfing Izak. "Farewell, Izak. I hope we will be able to meet again..."

Red waking up screaming and panting in his little rundown shack, if it could even be called a shack. Looking outside it is a bright sunny day but these kind of days depress Red a lot, he misses how the slums in Midgar look.

Taking a few steps outside wandering about this strange dream which is nothing new to him. He always has this dream four to five times a week ever since he appeared in Olympus. He would always try to recall what happened in his dream but all he could remember is flashes of Midgar and darkness covering, swallowing, and even suffocating him. In the dream the darkness grasping him felt real and the darkness did not bother him but nor did he embrace it. It was the part about not getting air that scared him since it reminded him of his phobia of not being able to swim

Now walking up the stairs to the huge colisseum Red is off to start his daliy training. He did his two mile run to always get started then pratice at various other things like his strikes, jumps, and rolls. After a while he sat down in the stands for a breather and watch a few people train with others. He knew he shouldn't take a break with the rumor of a tournament coming up but yet that was a common rumor that hardly ever went away.

[Iudicium]

Clyde was sleeping in his SeeD dorm room, until his cellphone rang. He rubbed his face and awnsered it.

"Do you know what time it is?" Clyde yawned.

"I've found another one." The person on the cellphone said. "He lives in Traverse Town."

Clyde hung up the phone and got out of bed. He shivered when he put his cold feet on the floor. Clyde quickly washed his face and got dressed, before leaving his room he picked up his black keyblade and put underneath his black cloak.

"I'll finish this job and get some more beauty sleep." He joked to himself as he walked down the dark corridor. He went to the car park and hopped into his gummi ship. Clyde put the gummi ship on auto-pilot and took off.

"I hope this guy will be a challenge." Clyde said just before he fell asleep inside the gummi ship.

When Clyde awoke he was in Traverse Town. He stumbled out of the Gummi ship and started to look for his target. Clyde checked the first district and did not find anybody. He then checked the second district, and yet again there was nobody insight.

"This better not be a trick!" Clyde shouted as he entered the third district. He looked around for several minutes and just befor he was about to leave he saw a boy around his age. The boy was fighting a group of heartless.

"Hey you, could you help me!?" The boy asked.

Clyde lifted his hands and made the heartless disappear. He walked over to the boy and helped him up.

"Thanks. And by the way how did you do that?" The boy asked Clyde.

"I didn't save, I just wanted to finish you myself." Clyde laughed. "I am one of the dark."

"No wonder you have that heartless symbol on your back." The boy said. "I won't go easy on you!"

Clyde laughed and pulled out his gunblade. The boy leapt towards Clyde and struck him with his keyblade. Clyde laughed and kicked him in the stomach, that sent him to the floor. Clyde walked over to him.

"Any last words?" Clyde said as his gunblade crackled with lightning.

"Kiss my-" The boy began but Clyde struck him down before he could finsh. Clyde laughed and walked away.

Clyde went back to his Gummi ship and jumped in. He took off and headed back to Balamb Garden. "Too easy."

Shin slowly walked around his small home on the outskirts of Hollow Bastion, or its original name the "Radiant Garden". He did not interact with anyone in his world. Shin sat down and reached his hadns out infront of him. Spreading out his hands, he tried summoning they key-shaped weapons he had received from a strange figure in the darkness.

After nothing happened, he got up. "What were those things?" He forced his arms down. He tried once more, and he could feel something. Suddenly, a group of heartless appeared around him, though they did not look like they were going to attack.

He then drew his keyblades, but it failed once more. Shin examined around him. "What do you want!?" The heartless only stood there. He then ran at them, his keyblades finally drawn. He slashed through one part of the group. The heartless then began to close in on him.

Shin fought back and slashed through them with ease. But the destruction of other heartless only brang more. "AaAaaRghG!!!!!" He then threw his keyblades together. He suddenly felt strange. A bright light shone and the heartless finally fled.

"Finally." He then dismissed his blades, and threw his hand out. Then a strange portal began to form. "What?" He went forward and cautiously entered. He then found himself in complete darkness once again. As he wondered around, he heard a voice.

"The darkness is within you......use your keyblades to destroy all competition of the keyblades."

It was the was the voice that had spoken with Shin before. "What are you talking about? Who are you?! Show yourself, coward!!" Shin shouted out around him. "Who am I? Hahaha!!!!!!" and the voice was gone. He continued on and his keyblades in his hands. Shin struck the darkness around him. "You....." He then found a srange light, he walked forth.

As he looked around, he was back at the Radiant Garden. "Huh?" He felt something growing inside him. A dark feel, the power of darkness. "No....." Shin felt himself becoming more dark by the second. He needed to find help before the darkness toook over him and he went insane.

Izak opens his eyes and finds himself falling. Off in the distance, he sees a castle, around it construction material.

Bellow him, he hears sounds of conflict. He looks and sees Heartless attacking a man with a silver sword and another man with yellow, spikey hair and an enormous sword rapped in bandages. "Looks like they're in trouble!" He summons his Keyblades and presses his arms against his sides, making him more aerodynamic thus speeding him up.

Izak manages to land on his feet, but the force his body lands on the cement is massice and creates an impact crater, instantly destroying any Heartless in his way. After he regains his composure, he begins to take out Heartless. The other two grouping on him, defending his eight and four o'clock while he fought on their six. The easily dispatched the Heartless.

"Keyblades?" They ask at the same time.

[Iudicium]

When Clyde returned to Balamb Garden he headed straight to his dorm room. He placed his keyblade away and picked up his cellphone. He pressed redail and waited for some to awnser.

"... Yeah Maleficent. I killed that keyblader, bring my money in the morning Okay?" Clyde grumbled.

"Good job. What would I do without you?" Maleficent laughed.

"Whatever. And please, no more late night jobs. See ya." Clyde yawned.

"Ah ye, young man like you need your sleep. You're still growing you know." Maleficent said.

Clyde hung up and lay in his bed. He truly hated Maleficent, but if it weren't for Maleficent he wouldn't be in SeeD. When he failed his exam Clyde doubted his strength. He trained for hours on end until one day a mysterious sorceress gave him the gift of darkness. That sorceress was Maleficent.

[Hyzenthlay]

Cecile sat too scared to move in the shadows watching the three swordmen kill the heartless. Too scared to speak, she sneezed and Izak turned to where she was. She got up and tried to run away.

"Hey, wait!" called Izak following her.

Clyde woke up the next morning and strethed. He had a busy night and he hardly got any sleep. He washed his face at the sink and checked his cellphone for any messages. Clyde found one message from Maleficent. He decided to listen to the message.

"Clyde, there is a boy from Hollow Bastion that has just recieved the power of darkness... and a keyblade. I want you to train his powers of darkness. His name is Shin, he might not co-operate with you so be ready for battle."

Clyde put his cellphone away and picked up his gunblade. This was the first time Maleficent had ordered him to train somebody. Clyde left his dorm room with excitement. "If I train him well, he might be as strong as me!" Clyde laughed. "Actually, that'll never happen."

Clyde checked if the hall way was empty, because he wanted to use his powers of darkness to get to Hollow Bastion. Nobody was around so he used his darkness to teleport. When he opened his eyes he was in Hollow Bastion. He looked around and spotted a confused boy.

"Hey you!" Clyde called him. "Are you Shin!?"

[Omega OwA]

"Huh?" Shin turned around to see a person. He backed up.
"Yeah.....How do you know my name?" Shin asked. "None of that matters. I'm Clyde and I've been sent to train you." he said and started walking towards Shin. "Train me? For what reason?" "To train you in your powers of darkness." "Pwoers of darkness? I odn't have any....." shin then thought back jsut a while ago.
"No.....NO! Get back!!!!" Shin backed away farther. Clyde then looked likeh e was thinking. I have to get out of here!!! Shin then started to run back. "Guess Malificent was right."
Shin couldn't get out of his area. "Get out!!!!!" Shin came at Clyde and his keyblades appeared into his hands.

[Iudicium]

Clyde took out his gunblade and waited for Shin to strike. Shin raised his keyblade and took a few slashes at Clyde, but he easily blocked it.

"Is that all you got!?" Clyde laughed. "Don't fear darkness, embrace it!"

Clyde sent a blast of Thundaga at Shin, but evaded it. Shin threw his keyblade and it hit Clyde in the face.

"Heh, not bad." Clyde chuckled as he wiped blood from his face. "Come on keep fighting!"

Cecile ran as fast as she could around and to a dead end, she sat, too scared to speak her eyes closed clutching at her keyblade with all her might.

"Please dont take Orion away... please." She said as she heard footsteps draw closer.

She was dreading being caught again, escaping the gummie ship had not been easy, she had only just managed to jump as they drew close to the castle. She breathed heavily, almost paralized with fear, she had seen teh creatures with Izak before... Her memory took her away back to her home village, remebering the burning, the screams of her parents. A tear rolled down her face.

"P-please dont take Orion." She stood in defencive stance her eyes still closed, When in fear she closed her eyes, due to doing this so much, her ears were finely tuned and could hear even the slightest of movement, for she knew if she saw fire, or felt heat. She would run away.
