The Red Trail

"A-Are you alright is more the question.." The guy toppled onto her she put out her hand to help him up

Ken smiled weakly, "im ok..." His hand loosely reaching into a side pocket of his pants, and gripping a small vile of clear liquid he squeezes it until the glass fragments and dissolves immediately, the liquid is a potion, more of a solution made for healing, it activates healing cells already natural to the body, this chemical burst only lasts for a short period of time, followed by a warming sensation in the heart. ken stands almost fully healed, nothing a short nap couldnt cure. Kens ears were fully sensative to his surroundings, a sound keps getting closer to him leaf after leaf crunch then a branch. CRACK!!!

He grabs the woman in front of him by her arms and covers her mouth before she could make a sound. Ken pulls her quickly off of the trail they are on and ducks down forcing her to kneel with him. A black foot followed by another...SOLDIER!!!! SOLDIER, had been conducting trainig exercises in these woods for a long time, but never here, not in this particular location. His voice almost to a whisper..."shhhhhhh, dont give us away, im taking my hand off of your mouth now, are you gonna scream?" the woman shakes her head no, and he lets go. The thought kept crossing his mind, he knew they were looking to retrieve him, but he wouldnt go back to that place, his ripped sleeve uniform missing spots from tworn ranks and patches, nothing remained but his fatigue and his dog tags. "Come with me" he slowly and silently backs away from the open trail, "we dont have time to wait for your wolf, im sure he'll find us." He backs until he dissapears careful not to step on anything solid to alert them hoping the woman will do the same, but he doesnt have time to wait for her, afterall shes responsable for her own destiny.

Once they had gotten quite away from the trail and from SOLDIER she whispered in his ear, "W-Who..What?"
She couldn't get the words out. "Why...Why did we run from them?" She said trying to keep up with the guys pace.

Ken didnt answer he just kept walking, she woldnt stop asking...its not that,I...I just dont have an answer for her...ken get it togeather ol man its not right dont get her involved in your life, this is your problem...he thought to himself looking back at the girl just to see if she was still with him...silence followed them for awhile his stomach growling...its not right for me to allow her to get into this anymore then she already has... "its just not right!" he stopped, he didnt mean to say that outloud. He looked at her and threw up his hand, while walking off "do what you want" she stopped, he looked at their surroundings he had just made a huge circle again! But he pressed on thinking to himself yet again i cant just leave her here, shes even as lost as i am he turned and made his way back to her staring at her agitated, "you know what?! your becoming a big problem! I cant take care of you, Do you know how to get out of here?" Looks around again "gah!" And he stomps off

"Look, if you don't want to tell me I wont ask!" She turned and looked to where they had just been "I don't need looking after." Just ditch me like everyone else then.. She whispered to herself, He was starting to sound like her dad always calling her a big burden and saying she should be more independent. Jess rubbed her eye, she wondered what the hell could be going on in his head he seemed so..angry. Had it been something she had said.

Sirus had expected this. He had been sitting on a rock above the three of them for longer than he cared to work out. And of course, the second he tried to make contact they had run.
'If this is how they react to Angels' He said to himself 'I dread to think how they'd react to more hostile creatures!'
He decided that maybe quietly watching them had given them the jitters, and it appeared that he was right. Sighing quietly, he spread his angelic feathered wings and lifted himself high above the canyon. As he decended in front of them he called:
'I am not your enemy! I just want to talk!'
He noticed them quivering as he touched down, so he raised his hand in parley, hoping they would understand.

While all of this was going on. Matt had been sitting on a higher birch of the tree the angel had just jumped over. He was thinking of how patetich these angels were. They could'nt even sense being like himself. He was a Elf. A race - killed long ago. He often remembered never meating a single other Elf.

He brushed the blond hair behind his sharp ears. The SOLDIERS where standing right behind the angel and those strange people. In about 4 seconds the SOLDIERS would fire - and that would had been the end for them.
Matt did'nt really care what happened to them. As long as it did'nt disturb him. And it did disturb him. He wanted to see what happened next with these strange humans - and this angel. The angel and the man (was i Len? Or Ken?) was in some kinda deep conversation.

Unnoticed - Matt threw him self down and sliced the head of the 2 SOLDIERS and picked up they'r bodies - hid them on a tree. All without the people noticing it.

The tree he had laid the bodies on was a much nearer place. He could hear them talk.

"Black materia you say..huh?"
"Yes, this black cloked guy"

Black materia?
Matt was curious. He used his senses to sense where the man had gone.
"East"
Matt threw him self from three to three like a wind going trough the green grass.

"Hey - you"
The man who had stolen materia turned himself. But there was nowone there. 2 miliseconds later blood pored out of his neck. Coloring the sandy landscapes.

Matt picked up the materia and put it in his pocket. He returned back to the tree to listen what the angel and the man had to say. He did'nt care much of the girl. Right now he was'nt interested about sex - and he did'nt have any idea of how inteligent the girl was.

"Sir?" She called out for the guy who had protected her before, he had gone, Jess was scared, she could hear things rustling around her. She reached into her pocket she held her knife, nobody knew about it, infact Jess hadn't even let anyone know that she could defend herself. Jess stood in the middle of the clearing and looked around, she could hear the rustling above her, she looked up but she couldn't see anyone or anything.

Sirus felt an unnatural presence nearby, and also smelt blood, which meant death had occured nearby. He noticed the girl had drawn a small sheathknife, and h wondered what her next action would be with it. Because of his broken powers, Sirus couldn't identify the source of the death or what had caused it. The man, the girl and the lion creature were still standing in the clearing. Sirus took it upon himself to attempt to command them:
'It's not safe here, someone has killed nearby. I would advise us to move to a place with more cover.'
As he drifted across to the cover itself, he turned to see if the others had followed...

The elf was standing on the three. Looking at them drifting away. The angel had probably sensed the kill he had just done. Maybe he should kill them to. That knife looked pretty valuable, besides angel feathers. 500000 Gil per piece.

"Hrm...maybe I should'nt"
Matt threw himself of the three and started thinking about other things. He was on his way to the water. He had'nt had anything to drink for like ages.

The path looked harsh. Dust everywhere. He laid a closeth around his mouth and started walking. After 15 minuts he sat down and brushed his knifes against the ground.
"I know you'r following me - You can stop now"

He threw himself up and jumped backwards. The knife was now laing at the pulse of the attacker.
"WHO ARE YOU?"

The being laughed before he drew a gun and put it on the other side of his neck.
"Goodbye elf"
A explosion, then silent. And then he slided down to the ground.
Matt was just staring down at him.
He tared the gun from his hand and put it in his pocket. This could come in use.

Ken stomped back to her "you got us lost!!!" his eyes widend at the sight of the knife..."i see" he thought he must have really pissed her off, but by her stance, him being an experienced soldier and all didnt look like she could do much damage compared to him on a good day. She was just scared and frustrated, and kept in the dark because of him, how could ken blame her? He steped close to her she was just standing breathing heavily the adrenaline in her body making her gentle hands shake, he approache slowly and calmly. Ken just reached out and placed his fingers gently on the tip of the kife and lowerd it, she complied and did so before putting it away. why do i always blame others people for my problems . Ken sighed..."look....im sorry, its just hard sometimes y'know being by yourself" i want to tell her so badly. He stood up tall his ripped black shirt exposing a lil bit of his chizeld chest and abs, he didnt even notice. she cant know that THEY are looking for me, they'll take her away to, just like everything else, i have to get her to safety. Ken just stared at her deeply and sympatheticly in her eyes, he had somewhat of a crush, after all he had known her for 5 hours and had already had their first fight, he brushed his hair from his eyes, he stood up tall "ok lets try this again" he took her hand gently and began leading the way

After killing the follower Matt had continued walking. He could allready see a large ship in the distance - laing in the water. He started running. The adrenalina and the curiosity pushed him harder. And within 5 minutes he could see what kind of ship it was. It was a large Shinra Cruiser.

At the top President Shinra was standing and talking. He was guarded by a man with spicy black hair and a large sword. He used his senses - "ZackCloud". He could'nt completely seperate the names. It was as they were the same person.

The elf senses was telling him that Shinra was talking about some Angel.
Was it that angel he had seen earlier?
He jumped up to where Shinra was standing. Zack or Cloud automaticly placed a sword at his neck.
"You move, you die"
"I could'nt help hearing something about a angel - I saw a angel a 'couple 'a miles back."
Shinra was interested.
"Money..?" said Matt.
"Well, if you get him here alive I'll give you 10 000000 Gils"
Matt jumped away and sliced Zacks hand. Some blood glithered from Zack's hand, but Matt was allready far away.

"I'm so gonna get'cha Mr. Angel!"

Sirus suddenly realised the futility of what he had said to the humans and the dog. They didn't even seem to notice him. His Empathy skill enabled his to notice the crush that the man had on the girl, though he discarded it, deeming it to be unworthy of his time. He sensed stronger presences coming from further away, although the sound of a gunshot had made it that much more obvious. He realised that he was probably in far more danger than before. He quickly adjusted the materia in his Mystile to include his mastered Barrier Materia, he also added his mastered All just in case he needed to protect the others.

He suddenly thought oh bugger, i'm still unarmed so he approached the group near him.
"S'cuse me" He said politely, "I don't suppose any of you have a spare weapon i could borrow? If you have i can offer protection or Gil, whichever you would prefer."
He stood waiting for a response.

"Oh, hello baby"
That was the words that Matt said before he sliced the head of a SOLDIER, he met on the way. He didn't want anyone stealing his job. These money were his and nowone elses.

He continued walking. He was getting close to the Angel and the others. Soon he would once again be rich. The adrenalina pumped as never before.

The guy held her hand, Jess blushed slightly. "Before we go any further, whats your name?" She asked, smiling up at him. The guy was about to answer when somebody behind them asked for a wepon. She turned round, An-An Angel? Jess thought, she tried to talk but she was just stunned, she had always believed in angels but she guessed she'd never meet one, especially not a guy angel.
