Suzu kept dashing down the stairs trying to get to Oskar, as he reached him his worries died down and was back to his determination to reach the top. He eyes was serious, "Ok Oskar this is where I leave, I'll be taking my own path to the tower where the princess is held, so I wish you the best of luck." Suzu saluted him and started dashing to the top.

As the warriors ascended the stairs, the grid of fire slowly followed, rising gradually up the tower. Only a few feet from the flame, the overwhelming heat began to affect them. The flight of stairs seemed to run on forever. The meaning of 'tallest tower' seemed more apparent. But soon, the distance and the heat would be the least of their problems...

Suzu's words became true: there path to the princess would be split. Nearing their goal, a new path opened. An enormous room appeared in front of them, the bricks of the wall that formerly concealed it evaporated. At the very end stood a door, the final destination. Despite this new path, the princess was only a small number of stairs away. Perhaps the warriors would depart now...

Within the room, its guardian became present, crashing through the ceiling. A large dragon folded its wings and looked up through the cloud of debris at the two warriors. Its scales were fiery red and thicker than armor. It stood on all fours, each with long, sharp claws that pierced the ground. The dragon's tail was half its size, with just as much power as its legs. Its long stout ended with two long whiskers, and its eyes were a bright emerald green. The dragon let out a loud roar, revealing rows of sharp teeth and a set of lethal fangs.

At the top of the tower, the old man reappeared. The top of the tower offered little room, equivalent to about two average rooms of a house. Through his dark hood, his menacing grin was seen. He held up his staff, a bright light emminating from its head. A magical aura covered the mage as he began hovering from the ground. The mage held his staff forward and pointed it at the end of the stairs, ready to destroy the first to reach it.

Upon meeting with Suzu, and dispelling his worries, Oskar followed the dashing warrior into the top of the stairs, as the flames rose through. Nearing the end of the stairs, the path split as a new corridor emerged in their front. In the new room, a fiery red dragon stood, ready to challenge its next opponent. He knew Suzu would like to reach the princess as fast as he wanted: so did Oskar. Yet, what would happen after the rescue. Somebody had to deal with the dragon. So, he made his decision: let Suzu deal with the princess. A dragon was worthy of a great prize.

Oskar rushed into the new room, eager to face the might of the huge wyrm. He rushed towards the dragon's torso, in an attempt to place himself into a safer position. His large claws and tail looked safer than the dragon's breath, anyhow. And thus, he grabbed his sword with his right hand, left hand ready to grab the dragon's neck, and deal a mighty thrust...

Suzu reached the top of the stairway finding two corridors leading to two different paths to the young woman. He took small steps trying to make up a faster way to the princess, he then glanced at Oskar seeing that he chose the path to the wyrm. The choice of battling the dragon has been eliminated and now Suzu is forced to battle through the old man to get to the princess.

He closed his eyes and smiled knowing that warriors won't hold a candle to enemies who specialize in magical arts. A knew skill to learn perhaps, "Hmp.. sure I'll fight you old man.." he said fixing his sunglasses. Suzu unsheathed his sword brought it upwards then pointed it to his right, he moved his hand quickly so that it showed the surface of the sword.

Suzu dashed straight at the mage bent forward that his arm almost reached the floor.

As Soyin elevated up the stair case, saw what looked like a burn mark on the cement stair, and still he proceded, running with all of his might. Huffing and thinking, " Who was that person trying to.....!" As he was about to finish his thought, he saw this dragon, and a the man who was there to help him earlier, the man was fighting this horrible looking creature and Soyin just stared in fear, then started prayng for the fighter. Soyin was sweating and praying all that he could then after the prayer, he opened his eyes and glared massively toward the rumble between the dragon and the man he thought was called Oskar. Soyin unsheathed his sword to aid Oskar in his tough battle. Soyin ran at the dragon and jumped as high as he possibly could to bring the sword down on the dragons scaley arm!

((cloud13, I'll let the attack slide, but I'll continue from where you initiated your attack))
Soyin's attack slid off of the dragon's side, unable to penetrate its scaly armor. His momentum sent him crashing into the ground. Grabbing the large neck of the dragon, Oskar thrust his sword at its neck. The blade was easily deflected by the dragon's tough scales, which seemed to be present throughout its entire body.

Reacting to Oskar's attack, the dragon leapt back to reveal him and lowered its head. Immediately, the two warriors noticed a shining emerald wedged into the top of the dragon's skull. The dragon then opened its mouth and let out a stream of fire onto its foes...

Above the mage's staff appeared a sphere of liquid. The liquid was rather metallic, with a metallic luster and color. The sphere hovered directly above the staff, perhaps representing something.

Suzu's blade collided with the old man's barrier, sending a ripple across it. Suzu's sword flew to his side, deflected with equal force. At the same time, part of the liquid sphere 'drained', evaporating from its invisible container.

The mage flew upwards and pointed his staff at Suzu. Another sphere appeared at the staff's tip, but with more energy and a fiery glow. This sphere was an attack. More of the liquid sphere drained as the attack grew. With precise aim, the old man launched the attack at Suzu.

Soyin fell to the ground in pain but knew he must persist! He looked up at the massive dragon and rolled over until he was at a safe distance from the dragon. As he stood he looked down at his chest and noticed his necklace was not there!! Sword in hand he aimlessly searched with wondering eyes around the floor. His white clothing was now dark brown and torn from the flame! As he searched he glaced at the dragon as he expected the creature to have it, and sure enough the necklace was under the dragons hefty foot! At that sight Soyin started to stare in confusion, he stood in shock and with his sword at his side and his head down......crying! He walked toward the dragon and started to drag his sword along the burned cement! It sparked along as Soyin walked, closer to the dragon. He finaly aproached the dragon and lifted his sword to the dragon!

Reacting to his attack, the dragon leapt back, retreating. The swift move caused Oskar's arm to bleed due to the scales ripping to release. In a swift instant, the dragon's head revealed a strange gem. In that instant, a burst of hot flames burst from the dragon's head. Despise Oskar's swift attempt to roll his way out of the blast, the flames fiercely burned his left arm, already swollen and bleeding from the scales ripping his flesh. His pain was magnified by the rolling, which managed to extinguish his burning clothes. Briefly safe, he noticed his burnt and swollen arm, still capable of moving. He noticed as the newcomer, enraged, rushed towards the dragon, his eyes in tears. He was glad the warrior was safe from the ravens, yet he still was worried by his rushing. He knew he had to act, and fast.

Oskar noticed as the tail was somehow quiet, not flailing as to deal a wicked blow. His hope was to reach the tail, use it as a stepway, run as fast as he could into the dragon's head, and reach the gem before the dragon damaged the warrior. The distraction would be enough, he hoped, to smash the dragon's embedded gem. Steadfast, he rushed towards the tail. Any loss of time, and both their lives would be in risk...

When Suzu attacked the the old man a barrier deflected it making it fly past his side. He then tried to retrieve his sword before the old man could launch his attack, the old man hit him perfectly before Suzu could reach his sword. The liquid sphere charged with immense strength, pushed him back to the wall leaving a medium sized crater. The room is small he said in thought so he took it as consideration to get near the mage.

Suzu walked sluggishly as he stood up, he lay his shoulder against the walls and ran as fast to the best of his power to grasp his sword. Finally, he retrieved it holding it forward as he glares at the old man.. coughed some blood, wiped it across his mouth,and thought of a plan to obliterate him.

Ok.. this is what I'm going to do to defeat him. First, I could destroy the staff's main power, it's orb to nullfy the mage's ability to casts spells. If that doesn't work I would take the risk of enduring many hits as I could to get it to waste it's liquid sphere.. He couldn't think after that because of the thought of his rival's safety. What about the other warrior? He thought, just hope he's with Oskar.. Danm. I just hope there's a back up plan after this...

He shook his head disagreeing with failure, so now he attempted to try his first plan. Suzu charged at the old man, jumped from below and drove his sword straight into the barrier so he could get to the orb. He cuffed the hilt of the sword adding pressure into the barrier, the more he put his effort into it lightning flashed sounding like multiple fractures in his bones. Lightning clapped around the room recochating hitting Suzu as it bounced.

Each zap left scars on his skin or tears on his jacket but that didn't matter to him, he was after the princess and the feeling that his comrades are alright. He smirked there's no need right now as he could hear his rival's advancing trying to find a way to defeat the dragon in the other battlefield. Suzu's hair swirved crazily as the winds howled, his sunglasses shining at each spark blinding his view, he better not over exert himself or he'll see the day that he'd die here.

The dragon turned towards Soyin as he charged towards him. It opened its mouth and began to breathe fire. In the brief amount of time the dragon focused on Soyin, Oskar managed to climb its tail and step on top of his body. The dragon immediately postponed its attack and stepped backwards. In a quick attept to shake its foe off its back, the dragon swung its rear half of its body to its side. Before Oskar could recover, the dragon spread its wings and beat them forcefully, ascending through the hole in the ceiling. At an altitude above the tower's peak, the dragon dove swiftly back down to the room...

More of the liquid within the sphere drained from Suzu's attack. A little more than half remained. The mage, more intent to killing Suzu quickly, pointed his staff directly upwards and began chanting mystical words. The ground shook slightly as cracks formed on the floor below them. Breaking through the floor, several clay warriors emerged, weilding weapons of earth. The warriors advanced in front of the mage as he retreated behind them. Dissipating his barrier, the mage struck his staff onto the ground and closed his eyes, humming indistinctly. The liquid sphere, more than half drained, gradually filled.

Rushing to meet the dragon's head, Oskar was suddenly thrusted away from the dragon's body. The dragon's reflexes were far more than he expected, as it reacted to his attack, threw him away, and then lifted quickly to the air. Oskar's back struck the wall, as he fell. He immediately attempted a wall-kick and somersault, to minimize the impact of the fall. As the dragon rose through the air, he knew either the other warrior or himself should reach the dragon's head, and strike the jewel. He ran to the warrior's side, and quickly whispered to him:

"Whaddya say, eh? Are you skilled enough to reach the head and strike the jewel?" Noticing the dragon was diving to attack them, he devised a good strategy for it. "We'll synchronize jumping and striking at the same time, ok? Be ready..."

Oskar whispered his plan to Soyin, as Soyin listen he let his anger go for the moment and devised a plan to reach the top of the dragon! Soyin walked from Oskar as he finished, and Looked as his necklace in despair, and thought"not yet, i'll have to wait to retrieve my trinket for the time being...." Soyin prepared to to attack the dragon! He shealthed his sword and ran at the dragon! Soyin charged at the dragon, as he neared the dragon he jumped as high as he possibly could. He landed on the dragons arm, "Oskar! When I flip you come in with the attack, aim for the emerald!!" Soyin wall kicked on the dragons hard scaley neck into a backflip!

The dragon curved near the end of its drop towards the warrior that remained on the ground, passing swiftly under Soyin. Spreading its wings to set its altitude, it swooped directly at Oskar. The dragon folded its wings, attempting to drive itself into its foe. Its massive size and weight would crush its opposition with ease...
