Mayumi had spent the day by herself. She had needed time to think. What a fool she was, falling in love when death waited for her. Kill the demon. Easy for that white-haired-scavenger-whatever-his-name-was to say. She sighed and brushed her hair back behind her ear. She lumbered along the town road, head down, looking at her feet as the rhythmatically passed one another.

She looked up. A dark cloud. Could it be the same dark cloud she remembered? That had been pulling her life away? She started running. She felt a cough in her throat, but she held it back and ran faster, looking for Kana and Kieto. Maybe they would know... or at least help her.

((OOC: Very sorry for the short post, you guys. It was going to be longer, but my mom's being a bloody hound and wants me to go to bed. So... I'll make it up to you later.))

The Might of the Mushin against the Death of the Cloud

His kimono danced in the wind of the Mushin, the sword exploding in hundreds of shades of gray at once. He looked straight into the depths of the cloud, focused so that little could be done to distract him.

Of course, a small portion of his mind did keep note of the surroundings to make sure everything was going correctly. It was then that Mayumi walked in, confused at the scene. There he stood looking straight into the sky, powering up the Mushin. She wondered, but decided not to clarify to avoid ruining his concentration.

Perhaps it is the demon cloud... and Kieto believes he can face it alone... she thought.

She watched a bit longer, then left to go look for Kana. Of course, he was beyond the great walls of the city, standing in the frontlines of the army, taking stance to defend the innocent people against oncoming barrage of immortal skeletons.

The warrior's mind began to stray, wishing the best for his two loyal comrades.

Every skeleton in the undead army is immortal, which means that the only way to get rid of them is to eliminate their chances of fighting back. Perhaps chopping them into pieces, so that they do not have anything to control.

Then again, this puts US at a disadvantage, because mortal warriors like us are much more vulnerable. These skeletons are fast and powerful, and even greater in number. Plus, for every one of our fallen warriors, they recruit another. Given the dire situation, how do we even stand a chance?

Kana, Mayumi, I pray that you find put your heart into the battle, and maybe drive them off and defeat them. Prove to me how great a warrior you really are, and I shall vow to honor your bravery forever.

With that his eyes burst open, witnessing the formation of the tornado, which was the beginning of the attack. As the funnel slowly began to fall to the earth below, it transformed into the shape of a demonic figure reaching for the ground!

At this point the Mushin possessed a devastating power, and the stone buildings nearby began to tear apart in the wind! One could be blinded at the sight of the void of purest white, growing stronger and stronger!!

Both Mayumi and Kana stopped to admire the power, which didn't come from Kieto, but actually emerged from the power of the wind itself and his hard work and patience.

Slowly the demon developed more specific features now, such as definition for claws and jaws for the mouth, it grew more fearsome by the moment.

This demon cloud, held but one attack, which anhialated all in its path... if it were to make contact with the ground.

Kieto had thought this over, and decided that if he were to even more so power up the Mushin then he did during his fight with Demetrio, then maybe he could release the wind in a blast of power, and send the demonic soul back to the depths of hell where it belonged!

It was unfortunate indeed, that Kieto did not know how to release the power! Normally the sword just transferred the energy to whatever he touched...

If only he could shoot a beam of some sort, or at least let out the power on his own command without making contact. There was not time left...

The demon stretched out its arms in desperacy, and applying precise timing, Kieto summoned all of his strength and thrust his sword up into its head! Both powers fought furiously, and an explosion of light emitted from the point of contact. Kieto was having trouble holding it back, and he didn't see any way of bursting so that it would shoot back upwards!!

That was when he noticed that as he held it back, the cloud was draining!!

It shrunk, its diameter becoming smaller and smaller, and he knew that if he just kept it up, it would have nothing left.

Apparently the Mushin had succeeded after all, for the demon cloud needed all of its power to fight it! From afar, it looked as if the cloud itself was being sucked into the sword, since the energy was being destroyed upon contact with the well built katana.

Meanwhile, Makoto had snuck out of the workshop, and had witnessed everything.

Such power... no wonder he is a worthy opponent for my father...

Not only did the young warrior now possess a sword, but he had strapped to his back a bow and a quiver full of arrows, and he was ready to test his archery skills. Suddenly, he saw Kieto begin to struggle.

This power is truly overwhelming! I'm not sure how much more I can take... he thought, quickly falling to the bended knee. His strength was drastically being drained, for it used his energy to convert the energy from the sword to the demon!

Just when he was about to collapse, Makoto shot an arrow into the fray, which was undetected by Kieto, it created a little space in the attack, and that fraction of a second saved the warrior's life, and the last of the cloud had disappeared. Then there was an explosion of wind, which blew away Makoto and most of the town as well, even knockind down some houses and weakening the wall...

Kieto stood on the knee for a few moments more, and then collapsed from fatigue. He was exhuasted.

Kana hears a scream as he sheaths his Batatsu; he heads toward the spine tingling sound of horror as he witnesses the skeleton warriors with his own eyes. He unsheathes a katana and slices a few heads from the bodies they were attached to, while rotating to the other side, he takes out his second blade. Kana was now bearing two katana's. Skeleton after skeleton had collapsed to the ground as he sliced them to pieces. But something was wrong. They kept regenerating themselves. He worked up a good amount of energy into his katana's and unleashed a wave of thunder toward them, as they would not escape the wrath, he felt as though it was enough, but they revived again, and this time one of them managed to kill a villager, which suddenly after, became another minion on their side of the field. A zombie with immortality having a final dance on earth. Kana was growing weary by the minute. He was much more agile than they were; he knew that much, but their stubbornness to stay in the world was his disadvantage. He didn't even know what else to do. Perhaps he could use his Batatsu to defeat his opposition.

Just then a mysterious figure emerged from the shadows, and immediately ended the extended lives of what seemed twenty or so of the skeletal warriors. It had been none other than Kana's longtime friend and rival, Sol Igameru. He looked at Kana with his demon eyes, which had the look of insanity in them. Perhaps Sol had finally learned how to control his demon form. Sol cried out loudly as he held his sword in his hands as he swung the blade in the direction of an endless row of skeletal beasts. The intense energy and pressure that came off of the blade seemed too much for them as they all dropped their weapons and shattered into dust. Sol alone had killed over fifty warriors. Surely Kana could handle twice that many. He told Kana to kill off as much as he can with his demon techniques.

"But Sol, I'm not a demon though."
"Sure you are, you're a quarter demon. Your father was a half demon after all"
"Really now, we're going to have to discuss this later." Kana said as he withdrew his Batatsu from its sheath, concentrating deeply to reawaken his demon blood that lay dormant within him. Then without hesitation, his eyes began to glow a light shade of blue and his grey hair grew longer and shined a brilliant silver color. His Batatsu then became empowered with a dark grey aura. He then laid his evil-looking eyes on the last remaining skeletal wimps. He smirked evilly at them, thinking how fun it would be to end their insignificant lives. With one minor glance to his Batatsu, he leapt high in the air, throwing his two katana blades at each end of the area where the warriors had been standing. Kana then finally landed in the center, and as he stabbed his Batatsu into the earth, he shouted "Ikazuchi-sasu!" which activated the grayish aura in the Batatsu, which then shot out a wave of dark blue energy in the dimension of a sphere, entrapping the skeletal minions within the area of their ending. Seconds later, one by one, they collapsed onto the ground, shattering into dust upon contact with the earth.

As though it seemed they were finally defeated, Kana had rested for awhile, knowing that there were plenty more where that came from. The battle seemed endless, he collected his swords and sheathed them. Kana then showed Sol a sign of gratitude by asking him if he would like to join in on the conquest to defeat a powerful demon.

"You don't even know what type of demon it is, yet you're willing to follow blindly?"
"Yeah, it is powerful, so at least I'll be up to a challenge."
"Kana, you never cease to amaze me. Heh"
"Kieto will fill you in on everything once he recovers from the battle."
"Recovers?"
"Yeah, he passes out after every battle. The kid doesn't have much stamina I tell you. But he is good though."
Alright, let's head back to the hotel."
"Right."
Kana hoped he would run into his beloved Mayumi, but she was nowhere to be found as the two rivals continued laying the smackdown on the seemingly endless warriors of skeletonia.

OOC: "Warriors of Skeletonia" Is just my fancy way of saying skeletal warriors. Heh.

Andrea and the Skeleton Beast

Kieto lay on the ground, his precious Katana lying next to him. It was strange, but Makoto felt more comfortable around his new friend than around his own father.

Shinjiru was a very unpredictable person, very dedicated to his fighting. If the two warriors were to get into a battle, only the gods themselves would be able to save them.

The sword was beatiful. Its blade reflected the newly found light, which beamed in the middle of the blue skies. Kieto had destroyed the demon cloud, and he had done so successfully.

But what about the skeleton army he spoke of?

"I do NOT want you outside these safe walls! Understand?!" he explained, sounding like an overprotective father.

"Oh yeah..." Makoto sighed. He didn't want to disobey him.

Then he heard. Now in the peace and quiet, his ears were more vulnerable to far away sounds.

I can hear screams of pain... he thought to himself.

Before leaving to go check it out, despite Kieto's request, he returned the blade to the sheath, and then drew his own blade. Makoto ran like the wind, when suddenly he felt danger about him.

It startled him so, and he fell face flat trying to stop himself. Kieto lay there untouched, but next to him was Andrea! Something was terribly wrong.

Makoto rose to his feet, as dark energy began to surround him. What was happening? Then he realized the source. Andrea was leaking dark energy, which meant that...

Oh no, Kieto can't fight back! he suddenly realized.

Drawing his sword, he rushed towards the woman, and slashed long and hard. Blood flew, and she stumbled, falling on her back.

"You foolish boy... you don't know what you have gotten yourself into!!" she yelled in anger. Her face began to turn pale white, and gathering energy, she let out an explosion of white!

What stood before him was beyond description, for it was a mixture of a ghost and a demon. Red eyes plagued her all white body, and her hair flew wildly in all directions. Her kimono was now white as well, as if she was covered with flour or something!

Makoto was afraid, but nonetheless, he raised his weapon. Things were quiet, until she spoke. Her voice hissed like a snake, echoing among the houses.

"You do not stand a chance against me, boy. You are just a weakling. I was only afraid of Kana and Kieto. But now that Kana is busy, and Kieto is vulnerable, I can kill him, and things will be easier!" she explained. Then she summoned energy from her palms and released to white balls!

Makoto was stunned with fear, so he was hit by one of them, shocking him a bit and throwing him to the ground. He slowly got up, but she threw another one at him! He was ready this time, but in his weakened state he didn't stand chance. In soon time he was on the ground against a brick wall crying out in pain.

"You can't take any more?" she asked.

Just then she released two more blasts of energy, but quickly readied his bow and arrow and shot through both of them hitting her hard! The electric energy had added to the power of the arrow, and she was knocked straight through a wall, covered in debris.

It was his only chance. Makoto rose to his feet once more, and ran over towards her, but she was already up! Two more blasts were released, and he didn't have any time to reready his bow and arrows! What could he do?!

Then, in a desperate attempt, he threw away the blade, and drew Kieto's katana instead. He got hit by the first ball, but he slashed at the second one, and the power send it back at her, and Andrea had fallen at last.

Makoto sighed in relief, and switched the blades back to where they belonged.

Now he walked over to the wall, and climbed on top where the archers were shooting. A carpet of black was placed on the earth, and it was slowly wearing away at the army! But two warriors made quick work of each one skeleton! They fought bravely, but they were heavily out numbered! Did they even stand a chance?!

The wall began to rumble a bit, and Makoto felt uneasy. Something was happening, and he was afraid of the possible reasoning. What he did notice however, was that Sol and Kana were handling the skeletons very nicely, who were having trouble getting past the two of them to actually get to the army! Those who did get past, which were quite a few, since the two of them couldn't take on such a vast army alone, were easily shot down and obliterated after being toned down.

He smiled, but something was wrong. They were actually winning, but he felt that something terrible was going to happen! It was then, that the remaining skeletons all burst into pieces!

The young warrior stood atop the wall in confusion, as all of the parts slowly moved towards a central purple orb, that floated in the sky above. Then, when the parts came near, they circled around and began to form a figure of most horrible manner. In time, a gigantic skeleton fell to the ground armed with a strong shield and a large sword!

Kana and Sol stepped up to the monstrosity, while the cities' army fell back in horror. This gigantic undead beast roared into the sky, letting out a huge green fireball! Makoto himself was startled at the sight, and had fallen off the twenty foot wall landing with pain. He groaned, but at least it was nothing serious.

Kana and Sol stood ready, but the skeleton made a surprise move by leaping high over them and the wall as well! Then it swung its sword with great speed, felling hundreds at once and demolishing a good chunk of the wall as well! Fortunately, Makoto was lying down, and was unaffected.

"He's fast for someone that size..." Kana noted. Sol nodded, as they both rushed over to the beast, which began to make work of the large wooden buildings.

It was at least thirty feet high, shaking the earth with every step.

Tears fell through the dirt on Makoto's face, for he was tired of it all, and he couldn't take any more.

It's all over... he came to realize. A thread of hope arrived when Sol had leaped in the air and decapitated the skeleton!!!

His eyes widened. How could Sol kill such a monster with such ease.

Of course, the skeleton was taken by surprise, but that was still a poor excuse for reaction skills. What happened next however was odd.

Skeletons poured from the orb that served as the heart of the beast, and they climbed towards the neck and melded into another head!

"This creature can regenerate body parts, even worse than the smaller ones!!" Sol proclaimed in shock. The two warriors drew their swords, as the decapitated head exploded into about twelve skeletons which ran into the depths of the town with their weapons held high.

The beast snorted, but instead of preparing another fireball that burned away at everything it touched, it used its demonic speed to swing at Kana...

Mayumi had seen the demon cloud disappear. The curse had been lifted. The only problem was that now she had a build-up of dark energy. She could feel it pulsing inside of her like adreneline. She ran faster. She sensed Kana. Then she saw him. Kieto, Kana, and a warrior she hadn't seen before were fighting a huge skeleton. It took a swing. It was fast. But then, so was she. And now she was back at full demonic strength. She gathered her dark energy in her hand and leapt in front of Kana. She formed a blade out of her black energy and countered the demon's swing with one of her own.

"Forget someone?" she asked with a smirk. The demon thundered with anger and took another swing. She stopped it again.

"Mayumi, it can regenerate," Kana said.

"I hate when demons do that..." she said as she blocked another swing. Kieto and Kana and this new warrior probably had her beat in strength. But she was fast. Her eyes could see every move the demon made and she was powerful enough to block his quick attacks. These things... if they had souls I could steal them. Or perhaps they're undead...

"Hey," she said, "What do you think would happen if I used white curative magic on these skeletons? Or should I just give sould stealing a shot?"

Death at Bay

Makoto coudln't take anymore, and despite his arm, which seemed to be broken, flung himself upon his feet and ran. He feared his life would be taken, but there was also a strange feeling of assurance that came with Mayumi and the others.

The true problem, was that Kieto was probably still vulnerable and those skeletons from the head had ran into the village!

He drew his sword with his right hand, he was lucky that his less dominant arm was the defected one, and not his right arm in which he greatly depended on.

Now that he was weak, it was tiring for him to run back to the center of the town where Kieto lay, and he had to wipe the sweat from his forehead several times.

Makoto zig-zagged through the alleyways to get there quicker, since the main roads went around the long way. Large buildings stretched up beside him, but they were torn down by the explosion of wind that followed the destruction of the demon cloud.

Each step brough up a vast cloud of dirt, which made Makoto suddenly remember the evening that was nothing but a nightmare within itself. Yet nightmares were surreal, an illusion that was only frightening within a dream.

However if this was true, then why did the nightmare haunt him still, while hew as awake, after the horrible night?

Cries of pain echoed through the exquisite rooftops of the village houses. Blood spilled and turned cold on the street. But the only thing Makoto could do was hide, in fear.

If only his father was there, for then none of the horrible things would have happened. People died by the dozen, and even when they struck down the skeletons, the undead would simply piece together again and keep attacking!

Eventually, the town lay in ruin, and his family were but messy corpses among the rubble of his own home. What was he to do but wait?

Had his father been there, things would have been different.

A tear rolled down his cheek. The slaughter is still fresh in my mind, it haunts me by day and by night, forever it shall haunt me, until I lay eyes on my father once more... But why does it also bring my joy? Why didn't watching my mother and brother fall to their demise bring joy to my heart? Is there something more?

Kieto was still in the same position, except over him stood Andrea, with a long golden staff in her hand. Makoto's eyes widened in horror.

"So it seems I underestimated you, and you are in fact a warrior. But that could be because of your father..." she roared, her voice scratched against the calm of the air, and Makoto's head began to throb.

"For you see, Kieto and Shinjiru have become bitter enemies over the past many years of extreme rivalry, and the moment they set eyes upon each other, blood will be shed."

Makoto didn't want to believe it, and he tried to add strength to his grip by adding his other hand, which was a complete waste of time since it still ached upon touch.

"I remember now..." the boy suddenly said as he forced his eyes back open. Blood red anger were in them, and his irritation began to get the better of him.

"When Kieto had saved my life, you suddenly aged a good sixty years..." he reminded her.

"That was probably because the holy energy ripped away at you like nothing, your demonic self shriveling upon impact" he realized.

"Yes..." she agreed. "...but none of that matters now, because I have my staff, and I am Andrea the Spirit Sorceress!!!"

She pointed the staff at him and he lifted off the ground! The she swung it to the left, and Makoto flew straight into a wooden wall, falling to the ground helplessly. She toyed with him a little more with her levitation skills, but grew bored of the game and started to gather energy for a stronger attack...

Kana

"Mayumi, it can regenerate....."

He watched on as she valiantly fought the demon. What would she think when she found out that he was a demon like her? No doubt she would still love him, but that would mean they would probably be together longer than if he was a mere mortal. She blocked nearly each of its attacks. But if Kana were to transform into his demon form, he would no doubt be able to counter attack the attacks as well. He had to help his one and only….so he closed his eyes to have the darkness to surround him. Slowly an aura surrounded him it was a magnificent blend of white and blue. His sword began to change its appearance at first. It grew in length, and the energy deep inside of its core awakened, which caused his eyes to glow a dark blue color. His hair grew out to his shoulders and transformed into a dark grayish color. His body's muscles grew larger by a small fraction, yet his speed greatly increased. It was as if he could emanate anywhere on the battlefield at an instant.

Kana peered onto Sol, who then gave a nod of assurance, to go on a fighting spree with the skeletal giant, to hopefully end its reign over the village. Minutes of letting Mayumi have her fun with the demon; he suggested he should get some use to his demon body, to let him fight it in his state. She looked puzzled at him, and wondered how he changed his appearance from the human she is used to seeing.

"I'll explain later, but now it's time to exterminate this pest!" he said as he blocked a swift attack from its huge sword. He smirked while looking upward at its horrid face structure.

Kana leapt high into the air, and slashed at its neck, causing the head to fall downwards onto the ground, then proceeds to slash off its arms and legs at such a hasty speed, it was as if it was all in one motion to the naked eye. His speed was so great; the skeletal animosity was baffled from continuously looking back and forth for him, so he could strike. It would seem that Kana was too quick for this demon giant. Now all Kana needed was a way to actually defeat it once and for all, but he had no way of destroying it. Maybe Mayumi's curative magic would work on it. As he stood there, wondering what form of attack he could use, the demon made an unexpected slash at him; he barely noticed it as he was so deep in contemplation. He jumped into the air, landing on its blade. Their eyes met. Kana could see the determination in its eyes to do whatever it can to kill everything. He had to respect its courage and determination, even though it was an evil creation.

As the demon bring the blade back, Kana leapt off, slashing into the thin air, while at the same moment, had a feeling run through his veins. The Batatsu's energy transferred into his bloodstream, giving him the feeling that he could defeat this thing once and for all. In Kana's heart, he felt to do a certain maneuver with the sword. He ran in circles around the beast so fast, a whirlwind formed around the two, and using the whirlwind's momentum, he saw an opening through the fury of the wind, and dived through it, cutting through the air with the sharpness of the sword, and then quick as a sound wave, he cut through its chest region, obliterating the orb to nothing but small fragments.

With the dust finally clearing, and Kana apparently arising as the supposed victor, he smirked at his friends, signaling he destroyed the thing for good. Yet deep within the rubble, the dust began to blow around in circles, beating. The bones slowly move into a pile, beating. Minutes after, the skeletal travesty was back to its normal state. Before Kana took another step, he felt the cold energy of what he thought was a vanquished demon, and with a sweat drop running down his face, he slowly turned around to face the demon he once fought against. He thought he had it beat, but maybe it wasn't enough to destroy it.

He looked at Sol, for advice on how to destroy it for good.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Sol

Sol looked on as his childhood rival and good friend transformed into his demon form, and laid the smack down on the demon. Yet he sensed that he was going about it all the wrong way. He could tell easily that this was no ordinary demon. It was a concoction from a skillful warrior. The only way to destroy this thing was to kill the source of its existence, which would not be a very simple task to perform. Sol gave a sigh as the horrid creation once again regenerated. He looked at his sword, and it pulsed with energy, yearning to be unleashed, yet he knew that this blade of his could not defeat this thing. He had to find the source of this thing and quick. Although, Kana's girlfriend's plan of attacking with curative magic didn't seem like a bad thing to do for the time being.

"Hey, that doesn't seem like a bad idea. Why don't you use that curative magic for now, until I find the source of this annoyance, and end its pitiful life."

Off Sol went, to search the area for the twisted being that created the spell for the skeletal warriors. If his thoughts were right, then ending the life of the person or demon would also end the curse of the spell. He had plenty to do, yet so little time to do it in. What if the curative magic wouldn't do the job? What if Sol was right and the only way to destroy it was directly from the source.

There was only one way to find out…

Makoto found himself depending on the sword, he wasn't sure what else he could do. He had learned from his father to trust in the heart of the sword in times of need, and follow its powerful guidance.

Slowly his eyes closed fully so that his eyelids touched, and he could see no more. Yet his mind began to enter the heart of the sword, and through it, he felt for the answer. Soon it was clear.

Andrea watched in curiosity while preparing the technique, but was caught off guard when he suddenly opened his eyes and attacked! Everything happened so quickly that she could barely block the attack, and she had to try her hardest to block the next few slices.

They were each fast and sharp, each one knocking her back several feet and making her stumble! Carefully she planted her left foot into the ground, and released a green beam, her ultimate attack!

Yet Makoto swiped it to the side like it was nothing, and the energy flowed through his body to the arrow. Then he took it upon itself to shoot back at her an arrow with the same curse she had sent at him, and the explosion of light rid her existence forever.

He couldn't stop thinking about his father. Was he ever going to see him again? And what would happen when he found out that he had been staying with Kieto all this time, his childhood rival?

Thoughts raced through his head, but he eventually decided to put that aside temporarily and go see how his friends were doing.

Leaving Kieto, Makoto went to see if he could be of any assistance...

Hogosha Tetsu...a mysterious man with unknown intentions. He comes and goes as he pleases and seldom know his real name, and refer to him as the signature name that was handed down in his family…Hogosha Tetsu. He has traved far and wide. His weapon...a great-sword and combined with one of his many spells, and with these skills, he is a deadly advisary.

Tetsu is a first class swordsman and an experienced spell caster, yet he is only 33. He wears a his great-sword hanging on his back and a brown cloak and his ,which reveals no body parts except his hands; either when casting a spell and/or using his great-sword, Kenzenten. He has sacred blue and golden markings scattered among his body, especially his hands and on Kenzenten.
-----------------

Tetsu had finally made it; the battle ground. There was a monsterous skeleton towering above the two fighters. The two fighters had noticed that the skeleton warior had been regenerating, yet still didn't know how to beat it. He sat on a bolder watching the unsucessfull attemps at destroying to monster.

Tetsu could see the man who made the last attempt to destroy the monster was having a little trouble. He decided to have some fun.

Tetsu stood up and announced himself"I am the one called Hogosha Tetsu by many, and I shall slay the skeleton beast."

The two fighters looked puzzled, thinking how can this man destroy the skeleton. Tetsu unsheathed Kenzenten and held it up to the sky. He then jumped into the sky and made his attack to shatter the beast into a pile of rubble.

The other fighters looked on at Tetsu knowing that he must be powerful to wield such a large sword with the speed of a katana, but the difference was the power coming from the great sword was much more than a katana.

The rubble started to shake. Tetsu mumbled a few words, pointing his palm at the rubble, and then shouted "Hyouketsu!!!!". The bones lay still. Tetsu explained to the speachless fighters that he suspended the bones in time so they wouldn't move and regenerate.

Tetsu started laughing and stating that that skeleton was an amature opponent and that there were much more powerful demons on the road ahead, and the fighters needed much training. The fighters finally announced their names.

Then he called Kana weak, which realy fired him up...

((OOC: Hello Animaniac. Welcome ^_^ *points finger at trademark face*))

----------------------------------------------------------

Destiny's Fight To Come

The boy was deep in thought, for he couldn't help but wonder how he could prevent the inevitable battle from beginning, since he knows that once fully in their mindless rage against each other, neither will brake free. He would have to end it before it even began. But how could he? Both warriors were far stronger than he, and it would only mean instant death to any who interferred.

He knew the destiny of battles long awaited. They are fierce and vicious, but the moment they go to the extreme, its as if the two fighters advance far beyond their own capabilities, and surpass the thin line of reality. They ascend to a higher world, where boundaries once difficult to break become nothing but a memory, and one can overcome the meaninglessness of existance.

That's when the truth comes back to mind. What is the truth? Could these boundaries be nothing but imaginary beliefs set by our own minds? Perhaps it is all just an illusion, and the great minds can surpass. What is the meaning of truth?

After walking for a good period of time, Makoto came upon Mayumi, Sol, and Kana, but a new person stood amongst them. The cloaked man held an aura of mystery, that intrigued him to the greatest extent. The depths of his mind were drawn in by the mouth watering aroma of feeling around this man, and even though he didn't want to admit it, he was struck with fear.

Tetsu may not have mentioned it, but he definitely noticed Makoto and his fear as well. The boy clenched the hilt of the sword so tightly that his skin turned red with stress, he could not take what his mind stretched him to do beyond his own awareness. When he finally realized what had happened, he threw the newcomer to the side and continued to ponder the wonders of the human mind.

Tetsu didn't like being ignored, he wasn't so stupid as to overlook the obvious fact. Still, instead of feigning the false personality that lurks among others, he took the path of mystery, hiding his truth to all.

"Me? A weakling? I'm gonna shove those words right up your ass!!" Kana retorted, shaking his fists at Tetsu. The two flew straight into argument and rambled like two ferocious demons, constantly at each other's back. The other's couldn't help but be amused at the act.

"Kieto is still alive, and although he is wounded, I believe he will be ready for battle again the moment he awakes" Makoto stated over the screams of anger.

Father, I pray for your safety, but by all means i must prevent you and Kieto from engaging in battle, for the moment your blades strike, you shall fall into the world of darkness... englufed in the flames of hate... consumed by the taste for revenge...
