Suzu Kitamura has levelled up - (lv 1)
Battle between Suzu Kitamura and Deca

Night is breaking in and the bright light that ignites the sky into a bright, cerulean color is dispersing from the earth. The sun that sets in the west dies down into a deep sleep as the moon awakens to shed off its silver light on the world... Blinking sparkles fill the skies, tiny particles give light to the sleepers of dawn, meager, but enough to protect them through the night. While many are resting, others are scheming and constructing plans to cause sorrow and despair among the innocent. Oddly, nothing is going on. It seems that the world is also in a deep slumber. No action, no activity; complete utter silence... The streets of many cities are empty, except parked vehicles, loaded trash bins, stationary street lights flicker on and off... A crackling sound from the street lights resounds in the ears of those who are awake. This incessant droning prevents many from sleeping, trapping them in an isolated void, alone and vulnerable to the eeriness of the background; drops of water flow down the body from perspiration and anxiety.

Suddenly, ominous clouds shrouds the city making the streets darker and darker until it becomes raven black; giving way for its darkness to take complete control of the city. The shining glare emitting from the stars and moon are blocked by the ink-like clouds, their beautiful lunar glimmer begins to vanish as infernal thorns consume and steal the sleepers of dawn's protection. Moving... creeping... unto their bodies, eating away their dreams... hopes... replacing them with agonizing nightmares.

In the middle of the city is a tower-like building that watches over the citizens. Its mystifying presence gives off certain warmth that shows its undying loyalty to the light. Fortunately, the shadows did not consume the only light radiating from it and this 'light' could be the remaining spark of hope to drive off the evil that flows in the air...

"Suzu...” A young girl said warmly. The girl standing before Suzu walks towards him concerned and wondering why he is up so late. She lays her tan, soft, delicate hand on Suzu's shoulders and said, "Hey what are you doing up on the ceiling?" The feeling given from her touch spreads a calm warmth across his body, like the warmth of an angel, relieving stress curled up inside.

Suzu sighs and turns around to look at his friend, a friend that he is so close to that he would consider her as his sibling. He looks at her for a few seconds to take in her beautiful stature. She is almost the same height as he is, presumably 5'7", skinny, soft skin that is caramel tan, long black graceful air that flows down half her back, strands of hair hangs off on her shoulders, and her bangs partly covers her eye. Her eyes are dark brown and calm without any restraint in the muscles. She is wearing a pure white scarf that wraps around her neck, a white sleeveless jacket, with sky blue outlines that run along the edges, that goes down to her knees, and dark blue shorts that hide behind her jacket.

"Hey!" The girl shouts impatiently, her loud voice snapped Suzu back to consciousness.

"What? Oh, my bad Sakura," Suzu gives a soft smile and scratches the back of his head, “What was that?" Sakura smiles back and walks toward Suzu, she takes out a folder from her briefcase and slowly hands it to Suzu, "Here." Suzu takes the folder and quickly reads the contents in it. "I see, well what a coincidence. I was just about to check it myself." He straightens up, fixes his suit and a necktie, and then picks up his katana from the ground.
"Before you go," Sakura paused, "Make sure you only investigate the darkest part of the city, nothing else, we want to refrain from having any...interruptions." Suzu nodded and begins to move on, but before his mission could start Sakura clutches on to his wrist, “Come back safe," she looks at the ground blushing then looks at Suzu again, "Alright?" Her friend gave a soft sigh and smiles, “Don’t worry about me, I will be fine." Sakura lets go of his wrist and steps back knowing and trusting him that he will come back to her.

Suzu turns to the urban wasteland and closes his eyes, inhaling the air.

"Hey Suzu how's your day?" A friend Suzu works with walks toward him.
"I am fine thank you," Suzu gives his friend a funny look, raising his eyebrow and smiles. He wonders how his friend could never get tired of asking the same question everyday, but it was not a problem for him.
"Soo...what does life bring you today?"
"I got another assignment..."
Suzu's friend grew silent; he sighs, turns around and lays his back against the window sill. He crosses his arms and smirks, “You don’t get tired do you? Well, I hope you are successful in your assignment. You come back safe you here? Y'know--" He stops talking and grows silent again. He looks the other way, his blonde hair glimmering in the sunlight; he looks back at Suzu and just gave him a simple nod. Good luck. He didn't say that to Suzu, but for some reason he knew his message got through his comrade.

Suzu remembers his friend and wonders where he is now. After the day he disappeared from SoI, many things has changed, the soldiers, missions, technology, and if he could just talk to him one more time he would tell him about the adventures he had been through. He knows that he is somewhere in the huge city and he would continue to look for him. Suzu exhales and relaxes his mind, “Concentrate on the mission," he tells himself. Still closing his eyes he jumps off from the top of the building and continues to fall. Just before he could hit the ground, Suzu reveals his angelic wings making him glide upwards into the air and making the trees on the earth rustle against the wind.

The boy flies towards his destination and along the way he spots a passing train leading to the outskirts of the city. Suzu looks down at the train distracted, hoping that it finds his good friend. Suzu's expression changed as he got near the part of the city where the dark cloud hovered and when he reached it he landed near an old rugged neighborhood. As his feet finally touched the ground, he immediately draws Akatsuke, his katana, out with his right hand while he holds the bulky sheath with the other. "Geez, why did I have to pick this place?" Suzu shivers as a cold, sharp feeling goes up his spine. He looks left to right as he scouts out the area.

The area he landed on seemed to be abandoned, “No one is leaving in here anymore," Suzu said to himself. Perturbed and frustrated, he knew that this area was tainted. Crows and ravens were plentiful, they sat on the roof tops of people's homes and electric lines that connected from house to house watching Suzu's every move. "Leave here," Suzu demanded, but one of the birds just cawed in reply. One of them even flew away, but it was not his doing, someone else is with him...

He wandered around checking the conditions of the houses, Suzu noticed that many of the windows were broken down, but many of the shattered glass had stains of blood dripping from the blades. The grass did not look beautiful without its lush color; the trees were destroyed all over the neighborhood instead of standing up like high towers reaching for the sun. The walls of the houses lost their luster; instead it was covered by a sea of jet black blemishes. Dark blemishes started to move upward to the ceiling until it ate everything, as it traveled a crackling noise appeared and this unbarring noise was similar to ice solidifying. Suddenly it grew windy, as it gets rougher and fierce the doors immediately opened. Bang! The sound of the doors closing made Suzu jump, he felt like leaving the place and it felt like he was in his own nightmare, "Danm," he chuckled uncomfortably.

Deca is a n00b - (lv 0)
(OOC: Forgive me in advance if my intro post sucks)
IC:

As the darkness slowly crept in over the city, Deca was just beginning to wake up. From his room, he could see the blackness inching into every crevice of the place. The tall, solemn figure checked his equipment--sword, daggers, the usual--and made his swift exit from the apartment. Never one to shy away from knowledge and adventure, Deca's curiousity drew him deeper and deeper into the black haze, into a slightly built up area with homes lining the streets.

As he ventured down the street, he noticed the state of the houses appeared...strange. Broken windows, the shards covered in thick blood. Instinctively, Deca's right hand slipped across his stomach and found its grip around the handle of his weapon, a plain silver sword, battle-proven from past encounters. With such an intensity of emotions, built up from fear and anxiousness, a faint blue glow began emanating from around his right forearm and hand, down along the hilt of his sword.

As the tongues of the aura slowly squirmed and licked through the air, ice crystals began to form from the water vapor in the air, pouring out of the warmth of the street on this night. A slight crackling of the crystals reverberated throughout the area, a sharp sound in this eerie silence.

Deca peered into the gloomy darkness, and tried to spy if any other beings, human or not, were out wandering in this mysterious shroud. The wind, previously uneventful and dead, suddenly roared to life, and from the buildings near, he heard their doors bang open and closed. Deca halted his slow progress to a full stop, and listened intently over the wind.

Listen: In the End - Linkin Park

((It doesn't suck, you are doing well.))

A few seconds later, the banging of the doors came to a stopping point... As the loud noise left the area, it became dead silent once again. The chilling, sharp air began to get to Suzu. As he walks he wraps his wings around himself, he holds himself together rubbing both his arms in hopes of heating himself, and whenever he breaths he can see the air he exhales. Sadly, his attempts to warm himself failed, isn't it odd how the weather could change so drastically in a matter of minutes?

Someone else is here, definitely, he/she or it could be the cause of the problem and Suzu's intention was to go find out himself. Suzu continues to walk down the street trying to figure out what was the cause of this destruction, it seemed that this dead area was never going to end. "Where did all these people go?" Suzu thought to himself, it was rather peculiar that they could vanish so suddenly. Suzu finds debris of white, marble blocks, large blocks used to create walls around homes to separate from other houses, all over the road.

The walls, whose purpose is to shield the houses, had large apertures as if something was violently trying to break in. He sighed and shook his head left to right feeling like it was his fault that this happened. Suzu relaxed his wings, put his katana back into its sheath and carried it on his back. He walked leisurely toward the rubble, sat on a flat plane, tired, and began to think, "I wonder why no one sent a distress signal to SoI... I don’t think anybody in the base was aware of this," he paused, tapping his forehead with the hilt of his katana and continued, "Until now...”

Caw! Caw! A raven flew past Suzu's hair trying to gain his attention, but he only swept it off and ignored it. The raven cawed again and tried a second time by rapidly pecking on Suzu's head, this time it worked. “Okay, okay fine what is it now?!" The raven was pleased; it flew to a wall in front of Suzu and tapped on it wanting to give him a message. Suzu raised his eyebrow in interest and gazed at the spot the bird was pointing at. Shockingly, the wall revealed a long trail of crewed, dried up blood traveling along the wall, down to the ground, and continued into the dark fog. His messenger left without warning, no trace of where it went... leaving Suzu on his own.

"I guess it is time to move on," he stood up, stretched out his wings, and began to follow the trail of blood. As Suzu kept flying he spotted a small figure coming out of a house, "Could this be the culprit who caused all this?" As he continued to move forward the blood led Suzu to the mysterious man. The figure was nearer, closer, and became solid to the eye. At the end of the scarlet trail, Suzu stops flying and lands on the ground a few feet away. The enigmatic man was standing there listening carefully to the background, so the angel hid behind a wall quickly; his back against the wall to ensure that he was not found. Suzu moves his head slowly so that he can peek and still have the man not notice him.

This guy standing there was taller than Suzu and obviously much older than he is, somewhere in his mid twenties. He had silver hair with a blue highlight that passed through the center front, the length of his hair is above shoulder length, and is wearing casual clothing and a robe that is in shades of blue. Suzu notices that the culprit is armed with sharp daggers and a silver sword that has been through many trials due to its many marks and scratches.

Astonished, Suzu sees the man glowing bright blue coming from his arm down to the tip of the blade. His blue, indigo colored aura zipped into the sky forming ice crystals from the humidity in the air. This was probably the reason why the weather became so bone-chilling when he first came. "This is no ordinary man. It is best that I do not take this guy so lightly," Suzu whispered. The angel breathes heavily and his heart beats faster, he is so close to the enemy that there is no turning back and if he did, he would have failed the mission. Suzu was not the kind of person to give up so easily, so he gathered up all his courage, fixed his suit and necktie, and revealed himself to the silver haired man.

"You, what is your name?" Suzu immediately unsheathes Akatsuke and as it was taken out sparks of purple, plasmic lightning swirled around the blade as if it was reacting to all the emotions inside the wielder. The angel flapped his wings creating a soft breeze around his body and his dark blue hair flowed in the air like the waves of the sea. Suzu held his sheath, with his left hand, and his katana with the right, he spins them simultaneously, brought them up into the sky, then skid them together as Suzu went to his battle stance.

"Did you cause all this destruction?"

Deca is a n00b - (lv 0)
The rushing wind calmed, and Deca, very gently, began to ease his sword out of its protective leather sheath. In the distance, he heard a raven crying out. Another caw, closer this time...then silence.

Deca's grip tightened even further, and he thought he heard a fluttering of wings, but when he searched for the source of the noise, he found nothing.

"You, what is your name?" The voice echoed slightly through the silence. Startled, Deca turned his head to the figure, a would-be welcome guest on this dark night, save the pyrotechnics display accompanied with a fierce looking katana. The man, obviously quite younger than Deca, went through a sort of complicated motion; a motion that Deca took as a readying stance to fight.

"Did you cause all this destruction?"

The glowing blue aura, which had began to seep its way around Deca's waist, slowly started to swirl around him. A smirk appeared on his smooth, pale face as he released his hold on his sword, and it slid back into place on his hip.

After a moment, after studying the winged human, Deca spoke: "What will you do, perhaps, if I am the creator of this mess?" The last word came out in a hiss, and the revolving blue glow began to concentrate itself just behind Deca, obscured from the view of the mysterious figure.

Deca remained cautious; he knew too well how being pre-emptive could take a turn for the wrong. The mass of energy kept building behind Deca's back, and there was a noticeable shift in how strongly the aura was around his frontside than his back. With this defensive act forming behind him, he again reached across his stomach and found his sword. Maybe he was feeling frisky tonight? Maybe he did want to make the first move?

"I am Deca. That is all you need to know...and whom are you?" On the last syllable, and a flash later, Deca had unsheathed his sword fully, and let his feet slide gently across the pavement to anchor his body into a balanced position. The tiny bits of blue luminosity that still remained in front of Deca slowly entangled themselves around the gleaming silver blade...

...and he had decided that he would let his opponent move first.

Suzu Kitamura has levelled up - (lv 1)
Suzu's expression changed into a frown as he watches the unusual aura surround the body of his adversary. The sapphire glow begins to build up around his enemy forming some kind of protection to guard him from any blows Suzu can possibly inflict upon him.

The angel glares at the silver-haired man and Suzu grows gravely uncomfortable as he looks at his pale, cold face. "What will you do, perhaps, if I am the creator of this mess?" The man replied. Suzu did not know what to do, finding and fighting someone in a deserted neighborhood was unintentional, oddly some unknown force would always be waiting for him, expecting him, but the young swordsman was oblivious of this unexpected event.

He clutches unto his sheath and katana, his arms still in a fighting stance. "Don't let go," Suzu told himself, making sure that he can get a firm grip, “I will not run away." Suzu gulped from dehydration, a trickle of sweat flowed down his cheek, and fell helplessly down to the ground forming into an icy particle. As it landed the crystallized tear drop shattered like broken glass...

"Eheheh," Suzu shudders as an ecstatic feeling bursts inside him. "I guess I will have to fight you myself to find out," in reply to the man's question. "After all, destiny has brought us together," there was an awkward pause, Suzu grinned, "I always wanted to say that!" A sudden shift of energy awakened in the man's aura, it seemed that it considered Suzu as an enemy and would not let him lay a hand on its possessor.

"I am Deca. That is all you need to know...and whom are you?" This man, who goes by Deca, unsheathed his silver sword wholly and entered into a stance that sheltered the frontal part of his body. His strength began to emerge as the aura that once surrounded him, transferred into his blade.

“Well Deca, I am Suzu Kitamura,” pointing to himself with his thumb, “I hope you are ready,” he replied, grinning. He flapped his angel wings to and fro creating a gust of wind around him, he quickly swings his katana and sheath backwards, and finally dashed to Deca. “Prepare yourself!” he roared. As he ran, angelic feathers scattered across the street illuminating the surroundings in a bright, fluorescent light, driving off the darkness that covered the sky. A few feet away from Deca, Suzu jumped into the sky sending him down to the enemy, he crossed his arms like an ‘x’ shape, and swings both of his weapons to Deca's midsection.

A strong force emanating from Suzu’s katana and sheath unleashed a surge of wind that was sharp as a blade. The wind swirling around the angel picked up the angel feathers from the field in a 90 degree angle and darted straight to Deca like homing arrows. “Sentinel Breeze!” Suzu cried.

(ooc: okay...sorry for the wait.)
IC:

Deca stepped back, surprise flashing across his face for but an instant, and brought his sword up to block the oncoming katana and sheath, the bits of blue emanating from his blade became solid, and widened the girth of the blade twofold.

As the darkness began to subside, accompanying a scratching sound, like feather upon pavement, Deca braced himself to meet the angel. Almost too late did he realise, though, the strong winds that seemed to come from Suzu's weapons, and the deadly feathers that had flitted along the ground were suspended in midair; no, coming towards Deca.

As this realisation hit him, the counter-measure that had been building behind him seemed to come alive, with a mind of its own, and it expanded in a thin bubble around most of Deca, save the front. As the attack started penetrating the aura, it became solid, a loud cracking noise reverberating as a thick ice formed, locking the feathers in place.

And Suzu was coming down onto him, and if their swords met, the ice surrounding Deca's blade would surely shatter from the impact, splintering both of them in small, delicate shards of ice that would cause no damage, other than a slight sting.
