Suggestions Please

After the amount of music I have you would think I always have something to listen to right? Well no... though I have heaps of good music I am in the mode for something new...

So if somebody could suggest me something, preferably obscure as I have heard most of the mainstream stuff but I haven't listened to everything. Preferably not generic ie several bands sound just like it. I am looking for something that sounds quite unique.

I don't mind what genre so long as it is not Rap (all that kind of music included) or Country, so that means I am willing to give almost anything a try.

I have a feeling that you might just enjoy Solstice (the UK doom band, not the US death metal band) you really can't go wrong with any of their albums, but I recommend New Dark Age.

For something with a pop-rock feel, K.T Tunstall. She's absolutely amazing. Don't get her released crap. Get the album stuff.

Also, you could give Ayreon a try. I guess. It's not really abstract, but it certianly is interesting.

Bjork is fantastic, too! She's VERY abstract and obscure.

Yeah, that's all I got right now.

Check In the Court of the Crimson King or Discipline by King Crimson.

Nobody's been able to reproduce Discipline, I don't think anyone even wanted to try. If you have MSN, I can send you some songs if you just give me your screenname.

If you don't already listen to them, you NEED!!! to listen to Belenos. They are the single best black metal band to exist. Get all that you can of theirs.

dredg is killer, one of my top 4 favorite bands, check out El Cielo and Catch Without Arms. Leitmotif as well, just not as good as those two albums.

Dream Theatre isn't a band. Spell the name right. TheatER. Spelling of proper nouns are not affected by regional spelling differences.

Ok let me see, somebody told me Agalloch was the most amazining bands in the world, listened to them but I didn't quite get what the fuss was about, its alright but not amazing :S

People keep mentioning Dream Theater and Din Er Grey so I guess I will check them out, same with Solstice (US) and Ayreon.

Other than that I have King Crimson which is quite exceptional but not in the line of what I was meaning. And yeah, I have most Belenos and it is one of the best BM bands around.

I would suggest Nick Lachey, his CD is absolutely amazing. All of his songs are different, none of them are really similar exept for the instruments that play with him, he has a really amazing voice too.

I told you that most likely.

Agalloch HAS to grow on you. Pale Folklore took a month for me to appreciate, The Mantle took a ****ing year, and Ashes Against The Grain took about two weeks.

You should pick up some Chevelle!! That is, if you haven't already. They are definitely one of my very favorite bands. Default is pretty good too.
