Bands that sound like...

I dunno if this has been done or not but if it has I apoligize. Basically there are a few bands out there that sound quite similar to other bands with their own tone to it, this will be a good thread for those who wish to seek out similar bands.

Opeth;

Novembre - They have more of a black metal sound and have more of a flow than Opeth, they are a bit softer at times.

Garden Of Shadows - Basically what they would sound like without that soft sound, great stuff imo.

Cradle of Filth;

Hecate Enthroned - I do not really like CoF but there sound seems to be quite popular, if you have heard the earlier stuff esp DAHE you will know what HE sound like.

Ancient - Kind of similar to the Cruelty era except slighty better and quite a bit of female vocals

Benighted Leams - Kind of similar but more darker, think the Midian era.

Opera IX - Well they don't really sound like CoF but the reason I bring them up is because they use similar themes, and they are quite good imo.

Evanesence;

Lacuna Coil - Basically EvanesencE is a rip off from Lacuna Coil except LC has men vocals a bit more.

Nightwish - Not exactly the same but still worth mentioning, to me they are a Finnish Opera version.

I have plenty more but it is late, these are my personal opinions so please don't rant on how they are completely differant cause to me they do sound similar. Feel free to add more and I will add a few more myself.

The Libertines
A band with a huge fandome, who I thought had a bland sound. Now, more bands are trying to be them.

Babyshambles: Pete Doherty(ex Libertines member)'s band. Sounds exactly the same as The Libertines but with all Pete Doherty's vocals and none of Carl Barat's vocals.

Dirty Pretty Things: The rest of The Libertines made up this band, who sound exactly the same as the Libertines but without Pete Doherty.

The View: Their song "Wasted Little DJs" has been at the top of the MTV2 and NME charts for a while. To me, it sounds just like a libs rip.
