guns 'n' roses is a wierd but cool band.my favirot of the group is slash he plays guitar and back up vocalist..well used to.they made some verey good songs my persanol favorit is "knocking on heavens door",and "every rose has its thorns" they both just rock.and their concerts are no jock either from what i saw on thier dvd "lose your illusion 2"they just played their hearts out especially slach while he was playing his solo on the song knocking on heavens door it was awesom sweat just fell from his hair you could see it on his body it was cool.if youve heard of them post here

Guns n' Roses are my favourite band of all time by far. I love Axl's vocals, they are so poweful and he makes any song sound awesome. Slash is one of my favourite guitarists, he is great. I have the Use Your Illusion 1 & 2 DVD's from Tokyo and they sound amazing live. I wish I was old enough to see them but I was only born in 1988 which really sucks. I love almost every song by the Gunners, I LOVE THEM! I am actually a member of a Guns n' Roses forum, it's cool. Oh and Axl was really hot in his time.

I also love watching all of their video clips every now and then, November Rain is a beautiful clip. My favourite song would have to be either November Rain or Don't Cry. They were brilliant in my opinion.

Can't wait until Chinese Democracy is released.

november rain now thats a verey goog song don't cry is not as good to me as november rain is but those songs are one ove the bests i dont know how i forgot them

Yes, November Rain is excellent. I love the guitar solo at the end, it's wonderful. I also love Estranged, it was very well written and the solos in that are awesome.

I love seeing Behind the Music: Guns n' Roses on VH1. It's really interesting to see what the band accomplished and what brought them down and such. We know that Steven Adler was brought down by drugs in the end. He ended up having a stroke that was caused by drugs. It's rather sad because he can't talk properly anymore. I remember they said on that show that Slash fainted in a hotel one day and was actually dead, he had to be revived. I guess that was the typical life of a rock star!

Axl... well besides being arrested many times.. he was awesome. He only got arrested recently for trashing a hotel room and assaulting someone or something like that. It's great to see he hasn't changed LOL.

I noticed Gilby Clarke is on that rock star show with Tommy Lee. He hasn't changed in looks a bit. He rocks. I'm not sure what the show is called, I have never watched it. I saw the ad on pay tv and saw him.

Velvet Revolver...meh. I'm not too fond of them. That lead singer of their's thinks he's Axl. He just copies him in my opinion and I can't stand him.

There is one Gn'R song I'm not too fond of. MY WORLD! LOL! What a horrific song. I wish Axl didn't get high that day.

yeah axel got thrown in jail for assaulting this women or someting like that and estranged is a good song but it puts me to sleep not in the bad way though

I really dislike Guns N Roses, all there songs are boring and I dont see whats so good about "Sweet Child O Mine", its so lame and boring after the first 10 seconds, they do have a small amount of listenable songs I can listen to but in general I dont like the band. I really dislike Axl Rose, he's a womaniser and extremely sexist, and thats never ever a good thing, right?

Its only my opinion, dont get mad on me.

well "sweet child o mine" isnt one of my favorite songs but have you heard "november rain" or "knocking on heavens door" or "estranged"they are some of the verey best songs in the world to me

All those songs are over-rated.

EDITED BY TACO: Why are those songs overrated? Why do they not meet the standards that people have hyped them to? Think about things like this.

Wow, of course a Nirvana fan would say that.

A friend of mine said that there are a Guns n' Roses group and Nirvana group at his school and they hate each other very much. Haha I guess that would be about right though. Meh, I'm glad my school wasn't like that.

I don't believe their songs are overrated. They had a lot of talent, especially Slash. He was an excellent guitar player, he wasn't the best but he was still great in my opinion. Axl had such an awesome voice, he made any song sound wonderful. His writing skills were great, he wrote November Rain and estranged afterall, EPIC!

Don't get me started on Nirvana though.... haha just kidding around. Nirvana are okay in my opinion they had some good songs. I know Axl and Kurt had some problems or whatever but Kurt was alright in my books.

There are millions of Gunners fans around the world still, it's awesome. They still await the new album by the man himself. I can't wait to hear it!

Oh and heartache, you're awesome! You're like the first GnR fan I have ever seen here...besides myself haha.

I had a very short phase of love for Guns N Roses, but I quickly became tired of them. Their songs were never really ones to jump at me. To be honest, the vocals kind of annoy me and the song writing just doesn't do it for me. Although I have yet to delete them from my playlist, I usually skip every Guns N Roses song that comes up, with the exception of Civil War.

For a band which only ever did one good album (Appetite For Destruction) they get an awful lot of attention. Use Your Illusion I and II were terribly inconsistent and November Rain is the cheesiest song never to be performed by Meatloaf. The Spaghetti Incident was horrible, GNR Lies I could have lived without, and Chinese Democracy will never come out.

Oh yeah, and "Every Rose Has Its Thorns" is a Poison song...

Aww nobody likes the Gunners. Oh well!

I thought Appetite for Destruction was their best album. Use Your Illusion I and II were great in my opinion, I guess it depends on your taste. I loved a lot of the music from the Illusion albums. They were EXCELLENT! Some songs aren't that great on there *coughMyWorldcough* but a lot of them are great. Locomotive is one of my favourites off of UYI2. November Rain was cheesy? So were a lot of other songs back then

! November Rain is one of my favourite songs, the lyrics have a lot of meaning and it's just a gorgeous song.

GNR Lies was an awesome album too! I know a fair amount of people dislike it but a real GnR fan will love it. There were only a few songs on that album but they were all pretty good. I will say that Spaghetti Incident was sh!t but then everyone else thinks that too hahaha.

I don't know why I'm a fanatic of Guns n' Roses... my friend got me liking them nearly a couple of years ago now. Their music just really appealed to me. I know there are many Guns n' Roses fans out there, I visit MyGnr forum a fair amount and I talk to others who share the same love of music as me!

Chinese Democracy WILL come out. It may take another century or so but it WILL come out.

I heard that it's due out this November. *Note to self: Don't get hopes up*.

What has Poison got to do with GnR? Every Rose Has it's Thorn. Hahaha. Poison are cool, I don't know how they are related to this topic but still. I like a lot of the hair bands from the 80's!

Oh yeah, I love ya Axl!

I know many people hate him but meh, I still think he's awesome. He still gets the babes lol.

I like Nirvana. but i aslo like Guns N' Roses

Slash was by far one of my main inspirations to pick up on the guitar.
In my opinion... he's cooler than Axel Rose.
I still listen to them though.
Mainly for the guitar.

(Slash is even reason enough for me to listen to those songs he recorded with Micheal Jackson.)

I'd like Guns N Roses a lot more if they didn't drag every song on for an extra 1-3 minutes depending on the song. Civil war is amazing, up until the piano section. It builds and builds and builds, but then disappoints in my opinion. Cut out the last maybe 2 minutes, and the song is that much better.

I gues you can say that I like most of their Greatest Hits album, but some of the songs needs to be edited down because they'll put me to sleep. Though my favorites are Sympathy for the Devil (Stones did it much better, but I still like this), Welcome to the Jungle, and November Rain

Maiden, on the other hand is a band that can belt out a 10 minute song and still keep me entertained, but thats for another thread.
