So, there's gotta be Tool fans on this board. What do you all think of the new Album?

Personally, most of it felt like the same old stuff, which is not really a bad thing, I was just hoping for... more after all this time. With that though, I'm definetley not saying I dislike it, honestly this is my now favorite Album so far as I find it really hard to find anything this good out there.

Vicarious was a great, great song. Really dug it.


Jambi is..... Jamish. I really like it, and the wierd distorted solo at around 5 minutes was really cool, reminded me a lot of Peter Frampton.

The rest, well, I havn't taken in the rest of the songs yet. =D

I really like it, though. This is my third listen through.

Just finished listening to it... and it is great stuff. I have been waiting for TOOL to finally get back together and make a new album. I'm glad they kept their original sound and didn't breach too far away from their primitive rock riffs. I think this new album is better than Lateralus, but still not better than AEnima, Undertow, and Opiate. But I may be biased since I grew up with the original three albums, before any of the perfect circle albums.

Maybe I have to give it a few more listens, but regardless - it is a GREAT album. I hope they do a tour somewhere near Missouri to promote it.

But I agree with a good concert in MO of Tool. Would rock all kinds of socks, and other words that end with ock.
