10,000 Days (Tool)
So, there's gotta be Tool fans on this board. What do you all think of the new Album?
Personally, most of it felt like the same old stuff, which is not really a bad thing, I was just hoping for... more after all this time. With that though, I'm definetley not saying I dislike it, honestly this is my now favorite Album so far as I find it really hard to find anything this good out there. Some favorite songs; Vicarious The Pot Wings for Marie and 10,000 Days Discuss.

.......
*hits up BT* Back in two hours with a review. Vicarious was a great, great song. Really dug it. Jambi is..... Jamish. I really like it, and the wierd distorted solo at around 5 minutes was really cool, reminded me a lot of Peter Frampton. The rest, well, I havn't taken in the rest of the songs yet. =D I really like it, though. This is my third listen through.

Just finished listening to it... and it is great stuff. I have been waiting for TOOL to finally get back together and make a new album. I'm glad they kept their original sound and didn't breach too far away from their primitive rock riffs. I think this new album is better than Lateralus, but still not better than AEnima, Undertow, and Opiate. But I may be biased since I grew up with the original three albums, before any of the perfect circle albums.
Maybe I have to give it a few more listens, but regardless - it is a GREAT album. I hope they do a tour somewhere near Missouri to promote it. |
