I enjoy some of their songs like "In The End" .. bus as i said in the ICP thread, ya gotta respect them for their right to do what they do. Listen to what you like and the hell with people that diss you about your music-- they don't listen to it- YOU do!! Opinions are like a**holes--everyone has one.

Some songs are good like 'in The End' and crawling, but most are just rubbish, in my opinion.

Yeah i know. They did great things and pleased their Fans and Put their all into their music, why put them down.
Well i didnt think the Thing with Jay Z was good but that is My Opinion. Most of there Songs are really Catchy and Great to listen to and if you listen closely, they have Great meaning to Life in them (may sound weird but it is true).

I loved them when I was 13, put it that way.

I don't even understand why anyone above that age would like them at all.

They were a good band to introduce kids to music, and to help them move on to better things.

I like em. I used to adore them back in the day when Hybrid Theory was big shit. I have Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, and Meteora. Personally I think all three are pretty good. There are a few remixes on Reanimation that I don't care for, but I like more than I dislike. What's interesting is I found the CD's and popped them in for a listen after having not listened to them for a year or two and re-realized how much I still liked the music.

Truth be told, I still get chills when I listen to Faint. One of my favorite songs period.

By the way, didn't the vocalist get institutionalized or something? I know for awhile there after Meteora was released that he was having some problems or something like that. I saw like one thing about it on the news once and then never heard from or about the band again. Can anyone clue me in as to what happened to em?

After having read the other posts in this thread it seems to me that there are two types of Linkin Park fans-those that liked Reanimation and those that hated it. Interesting... Personally it's my favorite one of the three, despite the aforementioned few tracks I don't adore.

Try to prove your point with one extra sentence.

I fail to understand how Linkin Park is designed for little kids. I mean, they were an okay band and I listened to them when I was 13, but I still listen to them now once in awhile.

I mean, who wouldn't 18-year-olds listen to them?

I would just like to state for the record: Chester is a HORRIBLE vocalist. His style is akin to having his testicles placed in a vice. The singing is the fear of the vice closing in, timid and whiny, and when he switches to screaming, the vice is popping his tiny balls and he's writhing in agony.

Mike Shinoda however, is a pretty decent MC. I like his work with Fort Minor far better than anything he's done with Linkin Park. It's just straight up hip-hop and it's done well.

As for Linkin park in general, I liked them a bit when they first got on the scene. Pretty driving stuff, and overall pretty heavy for mainstream music. But I swear to god I nearly cracked when I started hearing the tone-def retards at my high school singing "In The End" at random intervals.

Helter Skelter - Yeah, they are a good band to introduce to young people. When I heard them, I moved onto Korn, which then bought me to different types of metal. I don't agree that they're all bad, though. They still have some catchy beats.

I agree with you completely. I loved them when I was younger, and they were my favourite band for a few years... Eventually I began listening to Korn, which lasted another... year or two... and then I moved onto the likes of Opeth and Katatonia, which are probably the highest listened to on my current playlist, but I agree that they're still good if you give them a listen.

Many memories lie in Linkin Park for me.

As much as I love that analogy, I'd have to disagree. Not that I disrespect your opinion, but I think he's fairly decent.

And where do you think "Chez" comes from?

Anyway, though, I remember when my ex boyfriend and I used to be on the phone to each other. When we weren't fighting, we were singing Linkin Park songs together. It was lame and we made the shittiest singing duo ever, but it was admittedly pretty fun. I'm just glad I have a better voice than he did.

And that's something he'd probably still agree with me about to this day.

Thanks, that was really nice. Excuse me as my toilet gets fed its dinner.

Now how do YOU feel? Huh? Huh? I'm not suing you for affecting my health conditions.

All joking aside, I thought Chester had a decent singing voice. But I agree about the screaming part. He did sound like his parts were placed in a vice and his screaming was a result.

Decent is a perfect word to describe his rap skills. If you want to think he's amazing listen to Kevin Federline's entire album then listen to Fort Minor.
