Any Gorillaz fans out there?
I just asked to make a Murdoc Minions fanclub.. so I'm just curious. How many of you are there here and how many post on the official forum and as who?
Are any of you 2Dists? I think a rival 2Dist club would be very nice indeed.

A 2Dist club, the hell is that? Anyway, since the release of Demon Days i've really started to enjoy the Gorillaz rather different stlye of music. I've always paid more attention to the songs themselves rather than the animations. But Murdock seems like a weird guy!
I got the first album (self-titled) quite cheaply in Asda just before Christmas and its an ok album, but nowhere near as good as Demon Days!

I'm going to ignore the shit I didn't understand. Gorillaz? I liked them before every kid was raving about how "kewl" they are. I've always liked this band -- and I think there's been a thread like this. Y'know, minus the confusing...ness.

2Dism is a club started on the official forums on their site. just put it gorillaz then hit ctrl and enter. Look through the Forums, then "band". It'll be right there. Not sure who came up with it. They are also notoriously O/T all the time. I like the two albums equally, though it took me a while to warm up to it it was so wierd. I am both a Murdoc Minion and 2Dist there.
EDIT: Murdoc IS wierd. That's why the Minions love him. His fan club is overwhelmingly female, believe it or not.

I'm a pretty big fan of the Gorillaz. Of course, there is some of their stuff that I don't really care for, but for the most part, I really like their music.
Demon Days was a really, really good album.

Ooh! I am glad to hear that. A lot of people seem to either love it or hate it.... They'll be releasing the El Manana video tomorrow, too!
EDIT: Mayhaps you should join the Minions? I am so disappointed that nobody has hardly even checked it out....

...I see that the move has started already.... cool that you bought so many... I plan on getting the Demon Days Live at Manchester DVD when it comes out... hopefully I'll have money when it comes out... I'm listening to New Genious right now.... very cool song.... argh... what a headache....

The Gorillaz are a mediocre band saying I "Like" them would be taking it too far since I only find 2 songs actually "music" material everything else is just a bunch of monkeys trying to rap no offense to those of you who like them

I don't want to make anyone cry like I do in other music threads apparently, but I'm not a fan of this group. Ok, I hope you're alright with me not liking them.
I guess my reason for such is nothing really overly original that I found, couldn't really get a song that I could musically relate to or feel that it was balanced. Umm...yeah. I don't like them. lol

How about being a Damon Albarn fan instead? Being a fan of 2D or Murdoc is like being and Iron Maiden fan because you think Eddie is cool. Those cartoon characters is just the wrapping afterall and I actually kind of wish that they'd lay it off for a while and do some actual gigging.
