I have a question does any1 listen to green day? its only the best punk rock band ever

Listen to punk, not pop bands who embody everything that punk is against.
It was only a matter of time till they did a "Lol, bush sucks" song, and a bunch of crappy shit "rock ballads".

Greenday used to be a fairly interesting "Fake punk" band until after International Superhits or whatever it was called came out (their best of)

Green Day is pop-punk. Despite what some people think, I rather enjoyed thier American Idiot album. Sure, it's pretty mainstream, but they had some songs that I really enjoyed on that album. Other than that though, no I don't listen to them, and even the amount I listen to that album is rare.

This happens every time a band reaches success, they get hated on.
now for me personally dookie was there best album, then there music headed in a different direction, one that i wasnt too keen on.

But as for them being the greates "punk band ever" sorry pal, thats a real big over statement.

they rank about a 4/10 on my good music scale these days.

I really like Green Day the songs are great and I really enjoyed the music videos. Most of my fav. songs are made by G.D.

I love green day, all my friends do. My fave song by them has to be Jesus of Suburbia then Basket Case. I only have two of their albums now but I did have quite a few before my pc messed up.

I think Green Day are a pretty cool band. I only got 'American Idiot' the other day and it has some really nice songs on there. They're definitely not my favourite band because...Guns n' Roses took that spot hehe. I have two of Green Day's albums and they're both pretty good.

I like American Idiot, Jesus of Surburbia, Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Give Me Novacaine and Wake Me Up When September Ends. I like a lot of the songs off the album. I like a lot of their older music too.

I wouldn’t go as far as saying Green Day was an amazing band.. They are however tolerable. I liked them better when they were at least semi – unique. Before they joined the growing numbers of eyeliner wearing males. Eww. Green Day does however rank higher in my books than Simple Plan and Good Charlotte.

Greenday is a band aimed at angsty teenagers who feel they need to prove that they hate the world to be noticed by others. American Idiot? I don't like Bush, and I'm sure THEY probably do, but if you took him on, he'd get the FBI to come and kill you before you knew you wanted to take him on. Who's the idiot now?

You've obviously missed the whole concept of the album, it was never really about bush, but the idea of a leader that isnt fit for the job and leads his people into a shitstorm. well i havent actually heard the album. but thast what i got form it.
as for why im stickin up for GD well im sick of all the bullshit that goes on in this forum. The music forum needs a good kick in the ass.
