When I was in highschool my town had a huge local band scene. We'de have concerts every saturday with about 10 to 15 bands. There was even a couple real good ones from a nearby college that would come and play. I used to be in a band called Balzak. because of certain members never coming to practice we only ever got to play one show.

I miss being in a band.

Jacksonville has some of the most awesome death metal bands... EVAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw both these bands supporting Cryptopsy and Cattle Decapitation last year and they put the main acts to shame, how's that for kicking arse?

Theres some great bands in my college as i noticed in the chistmas concert. Theres this guy, Colin whos a lyrical genious and another guy called James who is an ace guitar player. Another guy Andy makes a great singing guitarist and Sam is a brilliant drummer. As for me... well... im just capable of a few short tabs!

^ You've got good taste! I bet your band is awesome. I'm pretty good with death style vocals myself and I hope to be in a band here soon.

I've been to Thee Imperial once (when Cryptopsy and Cattle Decapitation played last year) and I'll be going again on the 4th when Deicide comes to town.

I live in the Mandarin area near the Julington creek off of San Jose.

I'm not the biggest Deicide fan but I really do like their songs Kill the Christian, When Satan Rules His World, and Dead at Dawn.

Cystic and Dead Flesh alone would be worth the fee.

And yes, I will be moshing. It would be a waste for me not to as much as I work out.

I recently moved to Mandarin, before hand living at Soutside near the Avenues and the Beaches off of Hodges.

I'm not that big on Ax7 or Hatebreed, Hardcore/Metalcore is not my forte.

I'm from the Peoria area, where sadly Mudvayne is from. One of the guys (Greg) lives about six houses down from me. Oh, joy....but onto real music and great friends of mine....

Black The Sky - I was in a band with a few of these guys for awhile. They're good peoples.

Hmmm.... well, the Massachusetts area has a wealth of good bands. Hmm.... let's see.

As far as extremely local, I'd have to go with Thy Will Be Done, formerly known as Kobalt. My uncle is best friends with the singer's brother. That leads to the lead singer always recognizing me but not sure how. Doh. Hehe.

There's also Closer Than Kin... but I can't quickly find any links that will let you hear their music. A few years ago I really liked it. I'll have to listen again to decide now. Hehe.

There is Unearth, as well. They're among my favorite bands. I could and have listened to their music over and over again.

If I think of anymore I will share them.
