Yes. I went to college for about three years, and I was studying different things. First was business, but I don't have a mind for business. I thought it was a broad enough degree to where I could do just about anything I wanted with it, but it just didn't interest me enough. So I dropped it.
I looked into being a dental hygenist, but the school that I attended only took 12 students a year into the program. I did take a few preliminary courses, but then I guess I got pessimistic about my chances of actually getting in, so I dropped that as well.
Next was Graphic Design, and I really enjoyed it! However there's not a lot of job opportunity where I live for that kind of thing. I really don't want to move too far from my family. So I switched to something else.
Next came Computer Aided Drafting and Design. Don't really know why I got into it. I think it was a suggestion from my mother. Anyway, I only had a semester of that (it was alright...), but then my youngest brother got really sick. He had to get some surgery done to remove a hernia from his stomach, but he had a reaction to the anesthesia which was near fatal. So I had to pretty much forego my college experience and help out my family take care of things. He's doing much better now but I have yet to return, and I'm not sure if I will or not. I may go back just to see if I am close enough to earning some sort of degree. I may get that Graphic Design degree after all if anything, since I enjoyed that the most. I can't be at my family's beck and call forever.
Well, that's my college experience in a nutshell! Heh. The counselors at the administrator's office always got a hoot when they reviewed my transcript.
