Well, I just ran in circles because there was a treasure, I then I found one again at the save point. Then I gave a last look around, and noticed the soldiers respawned. So... I used it. And I'm glad I did, because now Fang can deal as much damage as Lightning can. True, I could've waited, but I'm the type that like to get as much done as possible as soon as possible. I'll be on the lookout for more spots like that. I'm edging towards Lightning myself, she suits all my needs as a gamer, and Odin is awesome. I'll see if things change later.

Wouldn't it be weird though? For years she's used that staff-thing, and now to swap to guns would be... unusual. Except, with FFXIII, we've been waiting for years.
