My sister, her boyfriend and his parents chipped in together to buy me a new mobile phone, which I really needed because my old one was eight or nine years old and had problems charging. I got a couple of other really nice things too from family and friends but I won't bore you with the details!

Did you get any nice presents? Fancy $60,000 jewelry or whatever? If you did, beware of robbers... Hahaha...

The only reason I got a party was because my boyfriend decided to arrange it. My parents wouldn't know what kind of party I'd like, and I don't drink so that would confuse them even more, I think.

I don't remember being a particular help in that case, I remember feeling guilty but that's about it.

At least you get a party. My family is far too lazy to ever throw one. Birthdays feel just like normal days for me, with the exception that people are giving me stuff without me asking.

But you were helping me out a ton, too. Don't forget that.

I did, thanks. And I ate TOO much cake because my boyfriend threw a party for me with tonnes of food! (And finger sanwiches... and sausage rolls... and crisps...) haha, surprised my jeans didn't feel tight afterwards!
