Ok just so the prior Member's of the Month don't get lost in the rift of time I am going to make this thread and keep it updated when a new member of the month as declared.

As for now this OP will act as an index. I will be updating it as soon as I can.

After talking with several different members of the TFF Council (got ideas/opinions? join today and be heard!), many thought it would be in the best interest of TFF if there was some way to give people proper recognition. Not the negative type of recognition, where people are flamed/warned/banned to obscurity simply because we don't like them, we're talking about the positive recognition. We looked for members that made differences, showed positive activity to the forums, people with good grammar and spelling, and so on. After narrowing down several different choices of members I could have picked for this first interview, I made my decision. I'm actually a little upset with myself that it didn't come so clear to me before, but this member has been what I'd like to call an MVP of sorts here for TFF. This member has seen it all, and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep these forums running smoothly. Not only on top of that, but this person is one of the most loved members on here, and deserves some serious respect.

So without further ado, I present to you... Meier Link!

Rocky: What is your first name, how old are you and how long have you been a member of The Final Fantasy Forums?

Meier Link: Hell I will give you first and middle, Westley Marshall. I would have to say I am somewhere close to old but still close to young; 27. I stumbled across TFF back in Aug. 2007, joined the same day and haven't found a reason to leave yet.

Rocky: Awesome, so when was your first experience playing a Final Fantasy game?

Meier: I actually played FFI when I was a kid on the NES but I really didn’t get the full experience until about 1995 or so when I got to view the awesomeness that is FFVI or FFIII for the SNES. It took hold of me and I have been in love with the series ever since.

Rocky: Ok, so was FF1 the very first game you ever played?

Meier Link: To put it simply yes, but for my age I was confused about it. I was about 6 when I first laid eyes on it and I can't honestly remember how far I actually made it into it.

Rocky: (laughs) Fair enough. So now on to the lovely website known as tff... So how was your first experience of being on tff? did you join the website at random, did you have experience with forums in the past, or was it kind of an out of the blue experience for you?

Meier Link: Funny story: my very first day at TFF I received a warning from a Mod that shall remain unnamed but I did not let that detour me from staying at TFF. I have actually been a member of a lot of different forums in the past and at a few points I had actually been a Mod at a few of those forums; given it had been a few years and all since visiting them. I was not expecting to join when I did but after being welcomed by the members the way I was I decided to stick around and see what TFF had to offer. Obviously it had a lot or I would not still be here (laughs).

Rocky: Way to not let the man get you down! Now on to the next part of business. Many people consider you a very respectable member, and it seems like the guys above the rest took notice to that and made you a moderator for the website. Congrats to that, care to comment on how it all happened?

Meier Link: Thanks! As for the turn of events, I'm actually still kind of baffled on that one but I figure it was based off of my time and dedication to TFF. Plus spiky hair is always a plus, I knew it got me in good with the ladies but at web forums; who would of thought?

Rocky says: Nice words of wisdom, I'll have to get working on pulling a Cloud Strife with my hair for next time.

Meier Link: Two pieces of metal and an electrical socket come in handy. (laughs)

Rocky: Now besides being a forum mod, you also seem to be a big advocator for some kind of social group known as the "Crao Porr Cock8". Now what is all that about?

Meier Link: Really when it started it was a running joke between a dear friend and I; a night of booze and typos so to speak but over the matter of a week or so it became something other then that. It became a sign of friendship and then slowly evolved into something greater AKA brotherhood. Today the term alone is a sign of bondage between a group of guys (and one house mother) that can not be broken. It really shows how a few people that are completely different in every aspect of life can come together as a “family”. We are all really close in one way or another and I am glad to be a part of it. Crao Porr Cock8 for life!

Rocky: Nice, well said. So besides TFF, what are some other favorite passtimes of yours?

Meier Link: Well if you consider it a past time, family is very important to me. I try to spend every minute I can with my wife and son; other then that I have played soccer my whole life and also I am a major enthusiast of tournament paint ball. Drawing is another one of my hobbies along with music. With a kiddo and wife in play I find very little time for hobbies though.

Rocky: Fair enough, being a dad and a husband is definitely a demanding job, so props to that. Now, we are going to come to a part of the series where I ask you a few set of quick questions, and you say whatever comes to your mind first. Are you ready?

Meier Link: Sure.

Rocky: Here's a warm up question: Pizza or Hamburger?

Meier Link: Hamburger.

Rocky: Coke or Pepsi?

Meier Link: Neither, Mountain Dew.

Rocky: Okay, FF4 or FF6?

Meier Link: FFVI only because it is my favorite, FFIV is a close one though.

Rocky: Zidane or Tidus?

Meier Link: Zidane.

Rocky: Atma Weapon or Ultima Weapon?

Meier Link: Atma Weapon FTW.

Rocky: Alrighty, Fate or Ralz?

Meier Link: Damn you Rocky, damn you. Fate.

Rocky: (laughs) Xenogears or Xenosaga?

Meier Link: Gears all the way, no thought on that one.

Rocky: Last but not least, Kefka or Sephiroth?

Meier Link: Kefka with out a doubt, no room for Emos here.

Rocky: Okay, now we are nearing the end of the interview, but before we take off, we have one more loose end to tie up. For September, we will allow the reigning champion to pick the person who will be the next Member of the Month. So I ask you, who will be the next one that I interview?

Meier Link: Dang that is a tough one, but in my opinion I would have to say Alpha Weapon. He is a very interesting new member that should have the honorable mention in this interview. Really the possibilities are endless but I feel he stands out amongst some of the other newer TFF goers.

Rocky: Alrighty, Alpha Weapon it is! Now, what are three questions that you'd like for me to ask him?

Meier Link: Hmm. If you had a chance for one day to take over Admin powers at TFF what would you do? If you could spend a day in any other TFFers shoes who would it be and why? Where did that superior intellect come from?

Rocky: Good questions! any last shoutouts before we call it a night?

Meier Link: Really everyone that knows me knows who I would give a shout out to but seeing I wish 2 certain members would show back up and spend some time here I would like to give a shout out to; Omega Weapon and Momo Mastermind. They deserve it and I hope to see them more active in the future.

Some good questions. The TFF related stuff didn't interest me as much as the rest though. And how about putting the questions in bold, without 'Rocky' in front of it? Just a suggestion. It's how it works in a lot of magazines, you know. The intro was of almost homo-erotic proportions in all its praise of Meier. but I guess it's all good.

Good interview.

Be sure to ask Alpha Weapon about literature, movies, cultural stuff like that. Or do so with every member? I like those things.

But that's just me.

If it's no trouble, I would like to ask a question myself for Mr. Link. How did you come up with Meier Link as a name to use in TFF?

You did a great job with the MoTM, Rocky! The Council has finished another goal!

I suggest differentiating the question and the answer by changing the font color, bolding, or italicizing it so the interview looks a little more organized.

Actually I have used this user name for many years on different boards, when I started here I decided to start fresh and used a different user name for about a week. It got old so I put in the request to have it changed to Meier Link once again and it has been that ever since with the exception of a week or so.

When Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust came out I feel in love with that movie and the story of Meier and Charolette. I found myself drawn to Meier in his pleight seeing I to am a hopeless romantic. Keep in mind this was back when AOL was still my primary connection to the enternet so I made an account as Meier Link (supprisingly it was not taken at the time) and it has kind of stuck with me ever since. I use to chat in the AOL FF chats all the time. Kind of funny that I have reverted back to something simular.

No it is not surprising at all deep down i knew Rocky was going to make it fun and humorous but a part of me said that he would also have a sense of seriousness to it which is why i love Rocky so much awww he is such a cute little huggable thing haha.
And when i saw that you were the interviewee well than my doubts were soon vanquished i knew this would a fun read which it was. And yes if there was no humor than we would be taking you and rocky to the hospital right now thinking something was wrong.

Kinda yeah, there is supposed to be an interview for Alpha Weapon in the works at the moment, and though I was originally planning to give it myself, Meier is going to take over temporarily and give the interview in my absense.
