Bollocks. I am, ONCE AGAIN, without my laptop. It doesn't even attempt to boot. Either the battery is dead (laptop batteries are meant to do this, after all) and unable to accept a charge, or the connection to the adapter is shot and it can't receive power.

I'm inclined to believe it is the former, as the dashboard lights come up when I have it plugged in, but it won't start as there's no charge in the battery. If it was an issue with the connection, I highly doubt those lights would come on when plugged in.

I knew I should have ordered a new backup battery when my first battery went out and I had to start using this one, but I didn't really think much of it once I forgot. My bad. I'll be sure to order two so that I have a backup ready for whenever the NEW one decides to die in another year from now. Stupid one-year shelf life.

But, before I buy anything, I need to make sure that is, in fact, the problem. Those batteries sure aren't cheap, you know? Oy.


So basically, what I'm saying is that my online time will be limited for a while until I either grab a keyboard for my PS3 or purchase new batteries for the laptop (whichever happens first).

I now have a very nifty little wireless keyboard/mouse setup for my PS3 (though I'll admit to using the controller as my pointer rather than the mouse anyhow). I don't know if it's just the resolution my television is capable of or what, but TFF is damn ugly on a PS3.

I blame the resolution. I haven't messed with any of the web settings, so for all I know, I can probably (hopefully) make it larger. Either way, whenever I invest in that widescreen TV I'm looking at, this whole web-browsing thing will be easier anyway.

Still, laptop batteries are to be ordered soon. I just don't want to spend $80 per battery -- that's a pain in the ass. =/

Couldn't you just take out the battery and still plug it in, or is it the kind of case where you can't use your laptop as a "Mobile Desktop" like me?

Must have the battery in the system and must be able to maintain a charge. Makes it tough when the thing finally expires. Still, there's no one to blame but myself. I've been putting off ordering a backup battery for two months now. This is what I get.

We don't sit here for hours "chatting". It really depends on the person, though. Sometimes they make a post and go somewhere for a while. Or play a video game and make another post minutes later...
