[Phantom]

Hey friends, I decided to make a thread posting my daily poems. For a long time ever since I was a child I always fell in love reading and writing poems. Poems tell you everything about the poet who wrote the words, the beauty, the feeling, and the soul of a poet is like that of a Artist except your expressing your opinons and throughts on paper in words. That's what I plan to do. Over the years I've wrote lots of awards and even got my poems published in award winning books of poetry like the Wings of Pegasus. I'll post some of my poems per day, and please tell me what you think of it. Now sit back, relax, and grab yourselves some hot Tea. Enjoy

Poem Entry #1 "I'll Gather Daffodils"


The ice-clad brook is murmuring,
Warmed by the sun's soft ray;
The robin's in the tree again
To sing at break of day.

Along the garden all nearby,
So lately filled with gloom,
The daffodils are nodding
To show off their pretty blooms.

Swollen buds on bush and tree
Are bursting in the air;
Mother Nature seems most anxious
To call forth her blossoms fair.

Althrough I must not wander far,
I know this much for sure,
I'll gather up bright daffodils
And bring sweet spring indoors.

My grandmother has a very big backyard and in the past I would always pick flowers and help her in the garden. I wrote this poem years ago when I used to stay at my grandmom's for fun weekends. That's it for today, I'll post some more soon!

That's really nice, Phantom. It has almost a bittersweet air to it, if that makes any sence.

And the rhyme's absolutely effortless. I wish I could do that, it ends up mangled..

Woah Phantom. This is really good. Its written fantastically and its as if you're telling a story in a way. The imagery's there and the rhyme makes it better. I hope to see more.

Poem Entry#2 "Spring Is in the Air"


Do you hear the little, green peepers
Piping all night long?
Do you hear the wind in the treetops
Singing a different song?

The earth is awakening from slumber;
There's excitement in the air.
Warm is the kiss of sunshine
Beckoning flowers so fair.

Birds have returned to the meadows;
Their song is a constant delight.
Soft shades of green robe the hillsides,
How welcome this beautiful sight.

Enchanting is the Spring season,
Every heart has a melody.
Broken is Winter' bondage,
Our spirits are merry and free.

I really like your style Phantom. You rhyme, its flows well but you in your writings which I really find amazing. Very descriptive words you use too. Makes me look forward to the spring!

This is one of my favorite written poems and also my first published one, that I did way back in High School. I had this crush on the hottest guy in school, but I was always to shy to ask him if he was..you know and if I had a chance in hell to ask him out on a date, this poem was how I felt about him. And now this applys to my current boyfriend. ( Even now that I'm turning 20 soon I'm still abit shy >_>;, but that's a story for another time. And now without further ado:

Poem Entry#3 "It's All Right To Say, "I Love You!"


It's all right to say, "I love you!"
To someone every day,
To that very special person you love
In a real and vital way.


The world is filled with sorrows
That sometimes touch us all,
And to know that we are loved
Lifts us when we fall.

The heart can be a lonely place
When no one comes to call,
But when someone says, "I love you!"
We feel we're ten feet tall!

Love's the rainbow after the storm,
Roses on a Summer day,
A smile that lights a darkened room
And chases fears away.

Three little words can mean so much,
And they're not hard to say...
It's all right to say, "I love you!"
To someone every day.

Poem Entry#4 "In Summer's Symphony"


Butterflies and hummingbirds,
Singing Jenny Wrens;
Hikers with their backpacks strapped,
Trekking through the glens...


Sailboats on the deep-blue rivers,
Picnics in the park;
Children catching fireflies
When the day turns to dark...


Blue skies hovering overhead,
Fluff-white clouds afloat;
Cattle in the meadowland,
Wildflowers by the road...


Fishing, swimming, country fairs,
Visits to the beach;
Each one is a cheery note
In Summer's symphony.

Excellent poem dude. Like I said in my previous post, you have a certain style of writing. You use your surroundings as your words which I really like. You should really check and see if there's any way you can get these published because I can see these being sold at a bookstore.

As Fishie said, you do have a certain style of writing.

Something I've noticed is that alot of your poetry is much lighter than most of that around.. It kind of flows over you in a very beautiful way.. But it still has some sort of deepness to it. It's not written without meaning or cause.

Wow..It's been a few months since I wrote a poem hasn't it? I came up with a couple more lately. This one's called "Little Acts of Kindness" enjoy.


Poem Entry #5 Little Acts of Kindness

Little acts of kindness may
Chase somebody's blues away.
A smile, a look, a fond "hello"
Is a gift that you can bestow.

When a soul is in distress
And they send an SOS,
A smile can go a long, long way
When a life has gone astray.

Don't be afriad to say, "hello"
Or help someone who's feeling low,
For smiles will lift one's spirit up
And happiness will fill his cup.

Little acts of kindness bring
A happiness awakening,
So with a smile and friendly nod,
Give the Gift that comes from the heart.
