What should you do, what should you say
When all your troubles seem to be washed away?
Should you be happy or can you be sad?
Are you allowed to long for the problems you’ve once had?

What will you do now, just stare at the wall?
You should be glad you can walk, not just crawl
You’ve made it easier on yourself, yet you still complain
Rejoice! You have those wonderful things you set out to obtain

So why don’t you just smile and enjoy this day
At least try it for now and see if the feeling will stay
I know you’re afraid you’ve lost your swagger
Yeah, that rush that made countless hearts stagger
That look in your eyes that makes time itself stop
A voice so convincing that makes all charges drop
It’s the power you seek, the one you claim you’ve lost
You feel you need to find back the excitement at all cost

But did you forget all of the work you’ve put in this all?
Are you too blind to see that you’re actually done?
You’ve come a long way; it’s a shame now to fall
It’s the perfect way to lose, yet don’t think you’ve won
That feeling isn’t lost, my friend, and it’s not gone without a trace
It’s simple, just take off the rust and place it in your trophy case…
