~ Poem #24 ~
Dedicated to the Blind

Tell me what I should write
Tell me what you think so I can close the night
My ideas are running low so I’m listening to you
To take part in a masterpiece of which I have no clue

Once I start, the words become a revelation
The words you chose to be my creation
I’ll make up whatever you may wish
Just like a cook preparing your favourite dish

I just do what I’m told, so I’ll write what you say
When I’m out of inspiration this seems to be the only way
While you’re at it, can you tell me who I am, it would really help
This world is a cruel lion’s den, and I’m its foolish whelp

I try to satisfy the world and take care of its needs
But I don’t know how to distinguish myself or explain my deeds
I can’t take care of myself, that task is just too hard
I haven’t found any way to go on; I guess I’m just too scarred

So tell me what to write, and let’s hope I can help out
For so long I didn’t see who I was, now it’s time to sprout
Who am I kidding, there’s nothing here; no souls to ignite
I have no hopes, I have no dreams, I jus't write…

Wow...nice. I agree and am somewhat like this. I do not write...but I do as I am told because I have no ideas of my own.
