Well, I was sorting through some of my older works and I thought I'd post some. These first ones are the few non-angsty poems I've written every now and then hehe. I might also retype a couple short stories or something, if I get the chance. I'd love to get feedback on these. ^^
Cat Nap A black cat naps in the sun, content upon his favorite rug, the expression on his face so profoundly smug One wonders why he grins; What secret does he keep that would make him oh so knowing, even in his sleep? Dawn The threads of Fate spin, interweaving A dream once lost, now real, all unbelieving The darkness of a wandering heart Fades with dawn, the light impart In the Wildwood One fine morn in the wildwood, I spied perched upon a bough An old black bird who looked at Me, and then he raised his brow. He chortled in delight, and I Suppose he fancied me, that Young stranger who still dares To walk beneath his tree. I'm pretty sure I have revised drafts of these but I don't know where they went. >.< Oh well, I'll find 'em eventually. So, what do you think? ~DragonHeart~ |

First off, I love all your writing. You should know that by now.
HOWEVER! I feel that you need to send these out IMMEDIATELY to be published. Seriously. Have you even tried sending them anywhere before? I know I would publish them if I had a magazine!

No, I've never tried. Poetry is a lot harder to write well, and hence, get published. I'm embarrassed to even look at some of the old poems I wrote. Those three are among the few I actually don't mind. To be perfectly honest, In the Wildwood is probably my favorite piece of poetry I've ever written.
