Terry Goodkind (Wizard's First Rule spoilers)

I just started reading Terry Goodkind novels and I can't wait to find more than just Wizard's First Rule. (Which is People are stupid) I thought that it was clever where it needed to be, corny where it needed to be, serious when it needed to be and funny when it needed to be.

I personally enjoyed the segment about M!stress Denna. Woohoo~! XD Agiels are not your friends.... I never thought that I would ever see a "Pain Mage"....

Spoiler:
I also thought that the end was rather ironic, with Richard being "Father Rahl's" son and Zedd's grandson.

I can see this as a mini-series on Sci-Fi... it would be so fitting.

Ah yes, Wizard's First Rule. Used to be my favorite book by far. Still my favorite book, but there are a few other gems that come close these days. Anyways, what can I say about Goodkind? I've read each book (except Chainfire) at least three times. The first four I've read probably close to ten times.

There are people who dislike his "preachiness". I don't mind it, even though I do not always agree with it. There are those who complain that the first 50 pages of each book in the series basically recaps what happened in the previous book. Yes, it is redundant when you read them all consecutively, but is very nice for those who pick up a book in the middle without knowing it (or who don't want to reread them all to that point).

Speaking of Goodkind, he has a new book coming out on Tuesday. Oh yes, I'll be reading it for sure. Normally I reread the entire series when a new book comes out from him but, considering I didn't know until last week that this was coming out, I'll opt to just reread Chainfire.

But anyway, you should definitely read the entire series. The books are long, but well worth the time invested.

Well, I just read Stone of Tears. Not quite the ending I had guessed halfway through, but close enough. Just piddling things. I plan on finding the rest, but dammit, the third one is nowhere to be found. Ah well.

Just so you know, my store barnes & noble, has all the books in the series. Literally all of them. And many copies as well. So.. don't say you can't find it.

Go to Amazon. Go to B&N.com. There will be loads of copies.

And I just happen to have Wizard's First Rule as well. Just started reading it not too long ago. I really like it even though I just started. xD

...I live in a rural area. They are very bad on carrying fantasy novels, especially series like this one. It's damn near impossible to find a lot of books unless I go online. I tend to go cheaply or libraries, as my money is in short supply.... unless you feel like shelling out over a hundred dollars to get something like that, be my guest. I simply cannot afford it, however...

Sure, I don't mind. They're only 7$ a pop. All I'd have to do, though, is have it shipped to you.

But really, you're right. The only place you'll be able to get books like this, are online.
I'll see what I can do sometime down the road, I have college loans to pay and my computer to pay off as well, so I'll have to get another part-time job soon, so I can have more spending money.

Once I get one, I'll see about shipping you the books, and you can just pay me back in small monthly payments with no interest. =P If you have paypal, that is. If not, then don't worry about it. xD

Edit: i just calculated as well. You have the first two already, correct? Then there's I think 9 more to get. That's 63$ + Shipping. So it's really under 100$. About two paychecks for me, so I'd just have to save for about a month or so.

Wizards First Rule is one of my all time favorite books. While I've read most of the series, except for the last two, I got a little tired of various bits of information being repeated in every frigging book.

I loved the entire series. I only own Temple of the Winds, Soul of the Fire, and Faith of the Fallen. I am actually preparing to read Chainfire right now.

BTW Books a Million carries the entire series as well.

I'll add more later

MAJOR UPDATE!!! A release Date has been issued for the Final Book in the Sword of truth series.

The book's title is reported to be Confessor, and it will be released on November 13, 2007!
