Anyone enjoy his books as much as I do? I've read the Cleric Quintet, all of the Drizzt books, the sellswords books, and the Highwayman. His stories always inspire my own writing, and his action sequences are some of the most well-written out there.

Salvatore is one of, if not my favorite, author. In fact, he is pretty much the only thing I read nowadays. I have been trying to branch out, however, and my effort is someone working! I have a few other auth-- er, not the point.

Salvatore is one of my favorite authors.

I remember reading The Highwayman and being so taken in with it that I never realized that I was finished reading the book. It felt like such a quick read, but I blame it on how completely immersed in the book I got. Most of his books do that to me, put me in a state in which I cannot force myself away, I mean. And since I have a short attention span.. well, that is quite the feat.

The first book by him that I recall reading was... Legacy of the Drow, I think. It was a collection of the four books in the series, in which they defended Mithril Hall from the Drow invasion. That was a spoiler. I pretty much failed my 11th Year Math class because of that book, because I could not put it down for the life of me.

Right now I am reading The Halfing's Gem and enjoying it, aside from the ridiculous amount of spelling errors in it. The reissue though, not the original. Part of the Legend of Drizzt series that is being released with pretty covers in hardcover. Expensive, but worth it.

I just got the Icewind Dale trilogy in one book, it was like 20 bucks for all 3. I'm not a fan of buying books for pretty covers. But yes the Highwayman is one of my favorites by him, such a great story. I hope he brings out another in that series, although it would be hard to match the greatness of the first.

I remember reading Homeland/Exile/Sojourne(Sp?) and loving it. I am also reading Dies the Fire/Protector's Way, which I really like. ^__^

Bob Salvadore is one of the best fantasy writers I have ever incountered. If I could ever meet him, that would be truely great.
