Eons Behind
A poem I wrote tonight. *shrug* S'alright. Actually, I'd appreciate some feedback if you care.
Should I sleep when I know that it might be eternal? Why rest my eyes when I might not awake? Is it me now or is the world that is dreaming, Teasing us with every new God it makes? And if I slept for forever, wherever would I go? Would I rest forever, the eternal unfound? Or would one of the Gods come and rescue my soul, And take me from underneath the ground? Just lie to me please; tell me, where do I go? Do I need verbal ecstasy to lighten my mind? If you fed me filet-o-religion to sew my mind shut, Would I be eons ahead or generations behind?
