I hope for your sake that yours really is the best story, Malevolence :-P

This turned out better than I could have hoped. I just hope that everyone who signed up actually turns in a story. If all goes as well as it seems, we can keep having new ones every month.

Well my problem is trying to keep it under 5000 words (almost 8 pages), my detail seems to override the pages XD. But hey, when we finish with the stories do we PM you or what?

You can start another thread and then post the link here. If it's over 5000 words, it won't be accepted.

Wow. To a real writer, that's practically like nothing when we get into the story, haha. And the way I write, 1000 words is roughly 1 page, singlespaced, in OpenOffice Writer, heh.

It's worked just fine in other contests I've been in. Granted, it does become awfully restricting. If there are a lot of complaints, then we can up the max, but for now, like I said, it's more of a trial run than anything else. If everyone really wants it upped, we can up it.

Exactly, when I started out writing in school nothing was under 12 pages, lol. Now if I get into something it becomes a book XD. But hey, a real writer can also work into the limits as well. I'm sure w
