~ The Journey ~

I come from the southeast hoods in the southeast town of the southeast lands
Great lands they are, with joy afar, and everyday a new challenge in hands
One day, a new challenge arose, I had not chose, the venture that lay before me
To go far from home, all alone, where my family and friends I cannot see
The time has broke, so I shan’t provoke the strangers within my reaches
I’m heading to the west, the far far west, picking up all that this travel teaches
I have found the place, the one filled with grace, a new world in which to dance
This place is free, as no one could be, a place where you can prance
To enjoy everything, a joyful thing, which nobody on this world would refuse
But after all those days, after all those miles, my heart is still confused
Feeling alone, no feelings have grown, my will has only shrunk
This challenge was great, a very great weight, it showed it had spunk
I should feel proud, scream it aloud, I have fulfilled the task
But now I feel sad, all from glad, I’m living behind some mask
I want to go back, oh to be back, but I feel it won’t have any use
To be like this, in so-called bliss, is nothing more than soul abuse
This place is great, oh so great, I shouldn’t even dare to complain
All I want is my joy, my joy that was so pure, so simple and so plain
Now I try to go my way, in this place, far away from my home
I should forget them for now, and make new friends, so I will never feel alone...
