As I had my double ear infection lately, my left ear failed to work for about two weeks. In the middle of the second week, my right ear was showing some difficulties as well. I was afraid of becoming deaf...I told myself it was just an ear infection and that I would recover. This poem pretty much sums up the way I tried to cheer myself up...

To hear no more would be a wretched sin

The fact sounds will never reach you, ever again

To lose them in a world of tranquillity

Where this calm makes you lose your identity

It is the reason you enjoy the sight of things far more

The things you’ve easily neglected before

They seem more gorgeous in the way they act

More beautiful, realising they are indeed intact

You see, so many things have past you by

Missing the simple things, and not wondering why

Without your precious second sense

The fear of losing it grows even more intense

The voices you hear and you find so tender

Will then be gone instead of slender

The sounds of playing music lost forever

It is something, which you can’t try to endeavour

Hope that soon your senses will form an alliance

So for now be still, and enjoy the silence…

Well, it's pretty much recovered by now. It's just that it was pretty messed up, this period of time. Now you're just asuming I'm being a baby about it or something...I've been to a doctor and all that, so your post is pretty useless...but thanks anyway.

Inferno I don’t think you’re a baby, or anything like that. I just meant it’s not a big deal with medicine it will cure. I'm happy to now it's cure now.
