[Flaming Ragnarok]

Everybody knows that at leats one FF character in KH is nothing like they are in their respective games. I'm curious to know why & how that character is wrong. for me it's Vivi. He is a shy stupuid little weakling in KH2, when he was really awesome in FF9. And worst of all...HE SOUNDED LIKE A GIRL!!!!!one!!!!!

Actually I agree with you, I didn't really like Vivi in this one. I wanted him to do more but he was just silent. I don't think you even see him in the battle of 1000 heartless which is a shame, he would have rocked! Still he's great in IX so I guess it's not the end of the world.

i voted titus but i actualy really agree with rionaleonheart, even know YRP wernt very good in FF X-2 but they really messed the up in kh2, i dont remember yuna being a selfish tresure hunter

My vote goes to Leon because they didn't retain his original name Squall. Plus they made him a bit more talkative than in FFVIII.

If you could apply "All of the above" as an option, that'd be my answer. I liked none of the cameo appearances at all. I mean it was cool they got David Boreanaz (from TV show Angel, which I like) to do Squall's voice, but I just couldn't like any FF character they used. If anything, I honestly think they should make an anime based on all the characters to flesh their personalities out so that they can become less cookie-cutter and more interesting.

Tidus Selphie and Wakka, the 3 worse FF characters in the KH series. Seifer was decent for being a kid. Vivi had his tiny part. Tifa had really no point at all for being in the game.

I was so excited when I heard Setzer made an appearance, and then so, so disappointed. They should stick to FFVII characters as far as I'm concerned. Anything other FF's characters tend to get ****ed around a little too much.

I think they all sucked in KH. Squall was ok though. He was the only likable character in the entire series, IMO. But they did screw him up as far as the whole calling himself "Leon" shit goes. It's not his actual name, it's just a short version of his last name, Leonhart.

Realistically, IMO, the only two FF characters they didn't screw up in any way are Cloud and Sephiroth. I voted other, for Auron. First of all, he's not a villain like Hades says. He was a true hero in FFX. Secondly, yeah I know the FF characters are meant to fit in with Disney so they are cartoony, but Auron doesn't go well with cartoony. He looked silly to me.

Also, another thing occured to me. Squall's full KH name is Leon Leonheart. Why change his first name to Leon and keep his original last name?

As far as I know his name IS Squall in KH (Yuffie calls him Squall in KH1 and "Leon" corrects him). It's not that different from Edge in FFIV which comes from his full name "Edward Geraldine"

You know after all my Tatsunoko "research' for TvC, I'm kinda surprised they didn't get Amano to work on KH since he has actual animation experience. Oh sure, you look at his artwork NOW and think "NO WAY could he do Disney stuff!"

Yes, he was doing these character designs a good decade before he was working on FF. Go figure. His artwork looked different back then too.

Not trying to drag this off topic or anything, I'm just saying Amano could've done some neat stuff if he was working on KH. I think he would've designed far superior original villains compared to the Pretty Boy Yaoi-fest known as Organization XIII.

It doesn't feel like any of the Final Fantasy characters were carried over to Kingdom Hearts properly. Sure, tweaking was probably necessary for them to fit into the happy Disney game better, but no one was really right. Maybe Sephiroth, but only because I don't remember him saying anything in the games.

Cloud is usually a lone wolf, but was too harsh and one-track minded in the game. Tidus was a competitive child, and crybaby (actually, that's not too far off course). Wakka was a little blob of information, which felt strange. Yuna, Rikku, and Paine were trouble making faeries. Cid, Leon, Aerith, and Yuffie didn't bother me too much. Tifa was a stalker. All the ones in Twilight Town were turned into children (anyone shrunk or whose age was lowered was wrong).

Only the hair is acceptable.

Squall calls himself Leon because of how he failed to save Hallow Bastion before the events on KH1. Being called Squall in a sense reminded him of his failure. That is what I remember reading.

The one I would choose in Kingdom Hearts would be Cid, I can't understand why he was put in the series in the first place. Cid wasn't much help for me.

The original Cloud, if I recall, wasn't entriely a lonewolf. He was just a little on the stupid daring side. Infact, at the end of FF7, he got all "yeah! let's do this together, guys!". I think that Advent Children and any of the recent FF7 adaptations have screwed up his personality. In KH, too. He was never my favorite character to begin with, anyway, though. I like the design they did for Squall's clothes in KH.. it's like a mix of Laguna and Squall. The whole name change thing is really dumb though. If he was that shameful, he should've put a bag over his head, instead.
