George W. Bush Like or dis.

I like him allot. I think he has done a good job with the war and the best he can with gas. After 911 he had to do something about it. Some people say he should not had made us go to war. He had to what else is there to do talk about it. After 911 I don’t think they want it to talk. They made it clear to us what they wanted. So Bush gave it to them.

No child left behind act. Was one of his best this to do . I think now kids are doing so much better. I don’t know alot about it but what I do know is it was a smart move on his part.

I know he has done something wrong but there have been others that have done not as good. So he did A good job I think. plz tell us what you think about him but don’t go all **** him and shit.

I think he's a bad leader.

Seriously. Have you heard some of the things he comes out with? He never seems to know what the hell he's talking aobut.

He makes bad choices and all in all, I don't think he's good for America -- or any country -- at all.

I personally think he should be in comedy with all the stuff he says.

It's a shame there's never any good people to elect as presidents/prime ministers in America and Britain. If there was, perhaps we wouldn't have monkies running our countries.

Firstly, I'm going to go off onto a bit of a tangent.

You said:

Now, I hate to burst your bubble on that one, but the No Child Left Behind Act is one of the most rediculous ideas he's come up with yet. Having a mother in education (who, consequently, had to teach ESL students using NCLB), i'm privvy to plenty of insider (heh.. kind of) information about how it's REALLY working.

Basically, instead of teaching children what they need to know to survive in the world, and teach them things that are practical knowledge, we now have to teach them to the test.

This means that teachers spend valuable teaching time on how to take tests, and teaching students almost entirely things that are on these evaluation tests.

Added to that, this NCLB act assumes that each child learns at the same pace. Every kid will know how to read, speak, and do math at roughly the same age. This is developmentally impossible! Two perfectly normal, IQ equivalent people can develop at different rates when it comes to these factors.

Gah.. I have quite a bit more to say about the american education system, which I will leave off of this topic.

As for good old georgie, I don't really feel he's the right man for the job. Call me a hippy, or whatever you'd like, but I don't feel that war is EVER the answer. Especially a war that is muddy as to what we're actually there for. You hear a billion different reasons. Nobody seems to have the same story.. Are we there for oil? WMDs? or are we just poking around so we can have our companies make millions rebuilding what we destroyed in the first place? or could it be we're there for freedom? I sure as hell don't know.

He's seemingly mishandled so many different things. I'll have to go with dislike on this one. I don't mind him as a person, I just don't feel he's all that good as a president. Then again.. I dislike cowboys, so...

Dont even get me started....

Here is 100 reasons why.... there are many more

IRAQ

1. The Bush Administration has spent more than $140 billion on a war of choice in Iraq.
2. The Bush Administration sent troops into battle without adequate body armor or armored Humvees.
3. The Bush Administration ignored estimates from Gen. Eric Shinseki that several hundred thousand troops would be required to secure Iraq.
4. Vice President Cheney said Americans "will, in fact, be greeted as liberators" in Iraq.
5. During the Bush Administration's war in Iraq, more than 1,000 US troops have lost their lives and more than 7,000 have been injured.
6. In May 2003 President Bush landed on an aircraft carrier in a flight suit, stood under a banner proclaiming Mission Accomplished and triumphantly announced that major combat operations were over in Iraq. Asked if he had any regrets about the stunt, Bush said, "You bet I'd do it again."
7. Vice President Cheney said that Iraq was "the geographic base of the terrorists who have had us under assault for many years, but most especially on 9/11." The bipartisan
9/11 Commission found that Iraq had no involvement in the 9/11 attacks and no collaborative operational relationship with Al Qaeda.
8. National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice said that high-strength aluminum tubes acquired by Iraq were "only really suited for nuclear weapons programs," warning, "we don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud." The government's top nuclear scientists had told the Administration the tubes were "too narrow, too heavy, too long" to be of use in developing nuclear weapons and could be used for other purposes.
9. The Bush Administration has spent just $1.1 billion of the $18.4 billion Congress approved for Iraqi reconstruction.
10. According to the Administration's handpicked weapon's inspector, Charles Duelfer, there is "no evidence that Hussein had passed illicit weapons material to al Qaeda or other terrorist organizations, or had any intent to do so." After the release of the report, Bush continued to insist, "There was a risk-a real risk-that Saddam Hussein would pass weapons, or materials, or information to terrorist networks."
11. According to Duelfer, the UN inspections regime put an "economic stranglehold" on Hussein that prevented him from developing a WMD program for more than twelve years.

TERRORISM

12. After receiving a memo from the CIA in August 2001 titled "Bin Laden Determined to Attack America," President Bush continued his monthlong vacation.
13. The Bush Administration failed to commit enough troops to capture Osama bin Laden when US forces had him cornered in the Tora Bora region of Afghanistan in November 2001. Instead, they relied on local warlords.
14. The Bush Administration secured less nuclear material from sites around the world vulnerable to terrorists in the two years after 9/11 than were secured in the two years before 9/11.
15. The Bush Administration under funded Nunn-Lugar-the program intended to keep the former Soviet Union's nuclear legacy out of the hands of terrorists and rogue states-by $45.5 million.
16. The Bush Administration has assigned five times as many agents to investigate Cuban embargo violations as it has to track Osama bin Laden's and Saddam Hussein's money.
17. According to Congressional Research Service data, the Bush Administration has under funded security at the nation's ports by more than $1 billion for fiscal year 2005.
18. The Bush Administration did not devote the resources necessary to prevent a resurgence in the production of poppies, the raw material used to create heroin, in Afghanistan-creating a potent new source of financing for terrorists.
19. Vice President Cheney told voters that unless they elect George Bush in November, "we'll get hit again" by terrorists.
20. Even though an Al Qaeda training manual suggests terrorists come to the United States and buy assault weapons, the Bush Administration did nothing to prevent the expiration of the ban on them.
21. Despite repeated calls for reinforcements, there are fewer experienced CIA agents assigned to the unit dealing with Osama bin Laden now than there were before 9/11.
22. Before 9/11, John Ashcroft proposed slashing counter terrorism funding by 23 percent.
23. Between January 20, 2001, and September 10, 2001, the Bush Administration publicly mentioned Al Qaeda one time.
24. The Bush Administration granted the 9/11 Commission $3 million to investigate the September 11 attacks and $50 million to the commission that investigated the Columbia space shuttle crash.
25. More than three years after 9/11, just 5 percent of all cargo-including cargo transported on passenger planes-is screened.

NATIONAL SECURITY

26. During the Bush Administration, North Korea quadrupled its suspected nuclear arsenal from two to eight weapons.
27. The Bush Administration has openly opposed the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, undermining nuclear nonproliferation efforts.
28. The Bush Administration has spent $7 billion this year-and plans to spend $10 billion next year-for a missile defense system that has never worked in a test that wasn't rigged.
29. The Bush Administration under funded the needs of the nation's first responders by $98 billion, according to a Council on Foreign Relations study.

CRONYISM AND CORRUPTION

30. The Bush Administration awarded a multibillion-dollar no-bid contract to Halliburton-a company that still pays Vice President Cheney hundreds of thousands of dollars in deferred compensation each year (Cheney also has Halliburton stock options). The company then repeatedly overcharged the military for services, accepted kickbacks from subcontractors and served troops dirty food.
31. The Bush Administration told Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan about plans to go to war with Iraq before telling Secretary of State Colin Powell.
32. The Bush Administration relentlessly pushed an energy bill containing $23.5 billion in corporate tax breaks, much of which would have benefited major campaign contributors.
33. The Bush Administration paid Iraqi exile and neocon darling Ahmad Chalabi $400,000 a month for intelligence, including fabricated claims about Iraqi WMDs. It continued to pay him for months after discovering that he was providing inaccurate information.
34. The Bush Administration installed as top officials more than 100 former lobbyists, attorneys or spokespeople for the industries they oversee.
35. The Bush Administration let disgraced Enron CEO Ken Lay-a close friend of President Bush-help write its energy policy.

47. As major corporate scandals rocked the nation's economy, the Bush Administration reduced the enforcement of corporate tax law-conducting fewer audits, imposing fewer penalties, pursuing fewer prosecutions and making virtually no effort to prosecute corporate tax crimes.

This was a list I had stored in my hard drive. I copied it from somewhere. If I remember correctly, it was moveon.org during the 2006 election...

It really sums up my opinion on him. I could repeat everything above and make it more opinion based, but its really all there...

I dont believe that G.W. is a bad guy by any means, nor do I believe he lied about anything. I just think he has been fed some bad information by several members of his staff, and has acted inappropriately. I see him as an ineffective leader, simply based on ignorance, naivety (?), and maybe some other faults based on his experience growing up in a family of less than desirable intelligience. I give him props for standing up, having balls, and standing up for what he believes in. Nothing wrong with that.

As I said, good man - lots of mistakes.

I do and I don't, I think he is kind of like an intelligent monkey or something.

The reason I don't like him obviously is because of the war, first of all the Oil Crisis is because they can't handle the fact that another country may just get a chance to be better than America at something. I hate how Americans constantly brag how they are best at everything when truthfully they are not. The 2nd reason being it also seems like a war for Israel which I think is absolutely stupid. Sending over American citizens to die for a cause that has nothing to do with them one bit what so ever absolutely makes me sick. I am not saying Israel deserves a chance but killing innocent Iraqi’s is not the answers. Lastly I don't like how he uses the fact that he is a Christian to everything he is doing, I have nothing against him being a Christian but expecting to use it as an excuse is a disgrace.

But he has made a few good decisions; outlawing homosexual marriage was a good decision in my books. I don't say this because of my stance against homos but because Marriage was intended for both man and women and it spits on the sanctity of it. Another thing is though their has been a lot of problems with illegal immigration at least he is trying to do something to prevent it.

I must apologize if I have made any errors, I stopped following American politics when I realized the country is full of "monkey see, monkey do" kind of people.

Let me just start with something he declared around 2002-2001 I believe.
Well it's not a quote but anyways he declared carbon-monoxide wasn't a polutant. As Carlos Mencia would put it "DEE-DEE-DEE!!! and I do agree he is a trained monkey. That bugger should go and sucka tail-pipe himself see what carbon-monoxide REALLY is lol.

And the way I see it is he shouldn't be worrying about other countries if he can't even take care of this one.

There wasn't no damned oil crisis the government just wanted people to think that so they'd have a good damn reason to get some more tax money's the money grubbing bastards.

Illegal Immigration..PSHA!!! Who cares if immigrants come into the U.S "Illegally" once again It's just about the government wanting more damn tax moneys.

I also hate him because he's constantly making up new words like what you ask Example. Strategery. 'nuf said.

Plastik, dude that should seriously get stickied or like saved in a file or something dude that's awesome enough to be on TV.

No offence, but myself included, we've alll said our share of stupid things on this site. Sure, none of us have tried to run for President but the point is, I think he is a great leader that has a strong relationship with God. I agree he has said his share of stupid things and has done stuff we don't agree with, but I prefer him as a leader.

Have we suffered any other horrible terriorist attacks?
No?
So he made a good move?

Maybe.

Theres a reason why we have a separation of church and state though. Look at the psycho muslims out there. They don't have this separation, and they go out on jihads and holy wars. I hate the terrorists for what they've done to my city, and I hate them for being so ****ing feeble minded that they got brainwashed into this jihad bullshit. God or any religious powers should not influence you while you are running a country. It ****s things up far too much.

We're losing our freedom of speech and expression to the FCC and Clear Channel, because some things are considered morally wrong. We can't use stem cells because Bush morally disagrees with it. Abortion is considered to be evil because Bush and retards in the flyover states think that its wrong. What if a girl gets pregnant from a rape? Will she be forced to keep the child?

Ironically, it's not immoral to lie to the American people. It's not immoral to spend all of the Social Security money. It's not immoral to go and give all of your corrupt friends positions in your cabinet and exclusive deals. Oh, and it's not immoral to give the richest people the biggest tax cuts, while screwing over the hardworking people whos ancestors actually built this country from the ground up.

Some relationship with God.

1. I am the Lord, your God. Thou shalt not have any other gods before me-- What about oil and big business?

2. Thou shalt not make any graven image

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the lord in vain-- I'm sure W's let out a few God damnit's, we all have

4. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath

5. Honor thy father and mother-- Well, there's plenty of that going around... finishing daddy's wars and all

6. Thou shalt not kill-- Iraq, Afghanistan... techinically he had around 3000 of his own people killed with intelligence debacles

7. Thou shalt not commit adultery-- Looking at Laura, I'm surprised he hasnt

8. Thou shalt not steal-- Oil, anyone? Stealing money in overtime from hardworking Americans. Stealing social security, stealing money through medicare.

9. Thou shalt not bear false witness-- ummm, WMD's, 9/11, Iraq, countless broken promises.

10. Thou shalt not covet-- again, he wants Iraq's oil.

Pete, I think I just fell in love with you.

Dubyuh is halarious. I mean, he's a terrible president, but come on, no other political figure has ever made me laugh so hard.

What he said at the G8 Summit alone was a laugh riot. That and his seeming addiction to food. When he was with the Chancellor in Germany, he must have gone on for at least 10 minutes about the BBQ and the pig that they were going to have that night. Then when someone finally asks a meaningful question, he still can't stop, "...I thought you were going to ask about the pig."

I wish it weren't trendy to say so, because it causes people who don't know what they're talking about to represent those that do, but Bush is a terrible president; end of story.
